  • In this video I talk about how my journey with parkinson's disease took a tangent as I battled with a cancer diagnosis, and then some news about my progession (or lack of progression) in Parkinson's and the ongoing clinical trial.
So I got involved in a second clinical trial SUPR SABR prostate cancer treatment (radiation therapy) and that went well after I was diagnosed with stage on prostate cancer.
My one year DATSCAN showed my Parkinson's has not progressed so that's great news. This is my third DATSCAN and all three look very similar. I'll take that as a win!

Rob, I am sorry to hear that you are battling cancer in addition to Parkinson's Disease. It takes courage to allow a RUclips audience to watch you face both health issues.
I've followed your Parkinson’s journey since you first posted your RUclips channel address on the Fox Buddy Network. Your videos are natural and honest, especially because you do not hesitate to let the audience see your tremor and explain how the tremor affects you in a variety of situations. I hope you continue to document your story for years because it is valuable way to increase the awareness of the day-to-day life of people with Parkinson’s.
At the end of your first video, you explained that you want to “get things out” rather than waiting to make the perfect video and you expect to improve as more videos are posted. Your realistic attitude about posting videos has been an inspiration to the two women and myself who are authors of a blog about Parkinson’s. Our blog has written posts, and we even found the courage to post two podcasts. We recorded a video twice to post on RUclips, but we just couldn’t get past our yearning for perfection. Recently, we decided that we need to follow your inspiration, allow our dyskinesias to show in the video, worry less about perfection, and to “get-things-out-like-Rob.”
If you are interested, take a look at our blog at parkinsonsfromtheinside.com Our purpose is to share our feelings about our experiences. While you are at the beginning of your journey, we are at various stages along our journey.
Thank you for sharing your daily life, your courage, and for teaching us. We are proud to stand with you as “one of us.”
