Good job Cate! I’ve been traveling for almost 40 years now, including living in Costa Rica for a while and you did a very nice job. I hope the young people will take your advice. Pura Vida!
Loved the video. Great information. I would add bug spray to the pack list and leave jewelry at home. Also, what did you do for internet connection on the road?
Thank you! And, yes, I forgot to mention bug spray but that is an important one. For data, I used an E-SIM app called Airalo. It's great bc you don't have to deal with exchanging a physical SIM card; you can do it all on your phone.
Hi, thank you! You can either take a private shuttle to Puerto Viejo or take the public bus. The bus company is called Mepe and you would have to go to terminal MEPE in San Jose. It leaves every 2 hours starting at 6am and the last one leaves at 4 pm. If you have any other questions feel free to DM me on instagram. Have fun in CR! 🇨🇷🌴
@Cate Fantastic video! Need help, planning trip with my family including parents. Can you please suggest top spots in Costa Rica not needing walk more than 100-200 meters?
I am going to Manuel Antonio i June any suggestions on how to get there from the airport in San Jose I don’t wanna travel to long like 3 hours is too long for me and my family and will it rain every day ? Thanks
The most affordable and fastest way to get there is taking a private shuttle, but it will still take at least 3 hours. Unfortunately, all major towns are kinda far from each other. The shortest option is taking a a domestic flight, but it's more expensive. Also, it will probably rain everyday that you're there, but I've heard that it's a nice time to be there since it'll be cooler and the rainforests will be more lush and green. Have fun on your trip!
