- When Jessica, the horrible babysitter, makes Reece and Malcolm believe the other is gay, just so she could see Mamma Mia in concert, a hilarious scene involving the two brothers follows it.
I absolutely do NOT own ANY of the copyrights to either Malcolm in the Middle, or the ABBA song, and am purely uploading this just because I have not seen the clip being made available anywhere else on the net.

As much as they claimed to hate each other, it was quite cute to see the two brothers trying to accommodate each other when they suspected the other one was gay.

Remember that episode where Malcolm was manipulated by teacher to put Reese on video cam and try to be friends him for a psych project? Reese let his guard down and was really happy Malcolm wanted to spend so much time with him and actually wanted to be best friends with Malcolm. Of course, Reese being exposed to the whole school put a stop to that, unfortunately. Throughout the show, despite his destructive behavior Reese is pretty sensitive and knows how he's seen by others.
No they do actually try. The entire episode is them suddenly becoming nice to each other and trying to be supportive while having no clue how to be supportive.
I love how Dewey silently judges them as if he didn't also have the time of his life dancing to an ABBA's song haha

The transition from forced happiness and pained smiles to just letting ABBA do it’s work.
The best part was after this when they bought gifts for each other thinking the other was gay. Malcolm gave Reese a pamphlet titled "If You're Gay, It's OK" to provide resources while Reese gave Malcolm a VHS of "Naughty Pool Boys III" and said he watched 10 or 12 of those and felt that one seemed to have most of the stuff "you guys like". That was actually pretty considerate of them. I loved that after Malcolm tells Reese he's not gay, Reese goes "check out the stuff they're doing in that movie and then tell me you're not gay."
That was funny. But I didn't like Jessica that much.

I fucking love this because it's not cringy like it could have been. It's actually quite sweet and wholesome, the whole episode is. I mean it's great not only bc they both think the other one's gay and it's funny, but bc none of them knows how to deal with the situation and they both try their best to not be an asshole about it. This is how things should always go in families. Like when my uncle died we discovered he had spent 30 years of his life with the same man and nobody in my family had a fucking clue bc as soon as he came out everyone kind of decided never to ask any questions. Fuck this. Ok this is too long sorry
you're right, it's very sweet - it shows how they care about each other, and good for your uncle for spending 30 years with his soulmate :)

When I first saw this I almost passed out from laughing! Still does! It's also great because it's also touching in a non sentimental way because of these two despite their constant fighting trying to show brotherly love and support in their own crazy way lol. Too bad they'd NEVER get away with this today Lol.

All the actors on this show are GREAT... this is really great acting with them... Season 6 episode 4 but all of the seasons are just terrific got to love these two young actors acting Reese and Malcolm as awkward as they can❤️❤️🤗

It really is a good song. Abba is too often affiliated with “being gay” but it isn’t. They are a good music group.
IKR. They made some great pop songs. I will say that I can't enjoy Dancing Queen anymore because of how overplayed it is. Other than that, they're great.
We recently moved to Waterloo (the actual Waterloo in Belgium), and every time we turn off the highway and I see the sign, I have to sing ABBA's 'Waterloo'. It's compulsive 😂
