    Love how short and sweet ur message is . Unlike other people 29.50 mins on how to water and how not to water and what pot to use for watering and what pot not to use for watering 😣

      Thanks, I try to cut to the point :) I'm thinking it's a bit too short, I think I might do 2-3 minute videos, but unlikely I'll do a 30 minute video for something that can fit into 3 minutes :)

      Mr. Houseplant yes , sometimes details r needed , specially for beginners but not a 30 min video . Or probably it’s not my choice . People may not agree with me . But keep it up . Love your alocasia . Just wondering , have u had any experience with LEDs instead of the grow light ?

    I have a bambino and I love it. Yours are gorgeous. Really, the spider mites are always there and I can never keep my eyes away from it or the mites return.

    Hi! I just bought one yesterday and really scared to kill it. Do you have a soil mix that’s used for these guys?

    Hi, I just brought a baby frydek that really took off growing but now tops of leaf is turning yellow and a new leaf is growing. I dont think I over watered. I use a stick and I also use a meter.

      For frydek specifically I usually go with neem. I use 100% neem oil: www.mrhouseplant.com/recommends/neem-oil/ mixed with water and a few drops of dish soap to emulsify the mixture (as oil and water don't mix), then I spray the top and underside of each leaf. I don't use the grow light for the next half a day or so, otherwise the leaves would get damaged :)

    Do you use a humidifier?

    • @MrHouseplant
      @MrHouseplant  4 года назад

      No need to, most houseplants tolerate low humidity well. Plus, my place already has 70% humidity, I have a hygrometer to measure it :)

    Could you give me the lux measure the frydek receives in this set up? I got one recently by mail and is recovering under a grow light that is very strong, so I put a bit further from it now. Is around 4000 lux good?

    Hi, what about humidity?
    Is it necessary or not?
    Thank you

    • @MrHouseplant
      @MrHouseplant  4 года назад

      Most houseplants adapt well to lower humidity, it's not an issue for a lot of houseplants.

    What kind of insecticidal soap do you use? And do you have a recommendation for getting rid of fungus nats? Thanks! :)

    • @MrHouseplant
      @MrHouseplant  4 года назад

      Yes, Mosquito Bits for larvae -amzn.to/2PAuzhp and yellow sticky notes for adults :) amzn.to/3h1NIDp The best combo. I haven't seen a gnat flying around my home for a long time :)

    You said you water it when the chopstick comes out dry but you have shown a chopstick with moist soil on it or am I wrong? Was this on purpose / is this what you consider as dry?

    • @MrHouseplant
      @MrHouseplant  4 года назад +1

      You're right, this one came out with dirt, so it didn't need to be watered yet
