- Tasting some English sparkling wine in a new (and I believe unique) bottle size - 500ml. Sparkling wine is normally only sold in 375ml, 750ml, 1500ml etc bottles. Until recently 500ml bottles weren't actually legal I believe.
I bought mine from Harvey Nichols but I think I might have cleaned them out! www.harveynich...

Thank you so much for reviewing our new Rathfinny 2020 Mini Cuvée and checking the sabrage test! You completely get what we're doing with the 50cl; it's the perfect measure for those moments when a 75cl is too much and four glasses amongst a couple will do. You're right, this is the first traditional method 50cl out there. Enjoy and come and visit us anytime!
Hi John, yes I think this is a great sized bottle.
I think Steve Thoburn (one of the original Metric Martyrs) would understand the difficulties of getting a small batch of pint sized bottles made. Perhaps it could be marketed as a pint sized bottle with 2.682 cl free?
My Dad used to really enjoy drinking Mateus Rose which they started selling in mini bottles for a while.
I'm wondering whether the rain made a difference to how you perceived this one? I think the fruit you are looking for is the loganberry - actually I reckon they would grow nicely in your garden.
Good to see the bottle end it came off quite cleanly.
Have a great weekend
Have you ever worked as a sommelier? You know a lot about wine.
No I'm just an interested amateur!
