RIP Budd Dwyer - the last honest politician.
I don't advocate for offing yourself no matter how dirty politicians might be....fantastic rock song
I think the point was he was an innocent man who was not given the chance to prove his innocence. So he made a public declaration to that effect. Forcing everyone who contributed to his fall, due to no fault of his own, to essentially be murderers, in a sense. As they drove him to that point, and he was only there by their hands.
Or you could just look up the actual meaning of the song from the writer...
@@Kate-hu5uz ACTUALLY, not long after he killed himself, his accuser admitted that he had lied the entire time. The man WAS innocent. EVERYONE in that room did their part to make sure he was found guilty and would go to prison. I think he just wanted to make sure that when the truth came out, they could feel as much hurt as he felt.
Budd Dwyer was proved innocent. He was basically Killdozer before the internet age.
Whole back story is insane - accused of criminal activity in his government job, there was no proof, but he had pissed off the Governor and Attorney General and others were going to do whatever to get him fired. If that happened any pension and benefits would not be paid out.....but by killing himself, even horribly on TV, meant all benefits would go to his wife. I've read a lot about this story and really there's evidence on both sides where it could go either way.
Also great job on how you listen to songs, not pausing every 8 seconds but then going through the lyrics afterwards. So many people can't seem to understand that.
saw them and when the AYYYYYYYYYYYYY MAAAAAAANNNNNNNN dropped the mosh pit was deadly!
I'm 70 first time hearing it. Great song.
GREAT PIK JM! Everyone including Patrick himself say this song is about the televised end of Bud Dwyer. On the DL, we all knew who it was really about...lol. Either way...nice shot...💥💀💥
This came out in 91 and Cobain died in 94 so unless your saying that Richard Patrick was psychic and saw Cobain's death 3yrs earlier it's about Budd Dwyer.
@@tomlafleche332 it actually came out in the mid 90s but was written in 1991.
@@RicoCosta317 Never said Kurt. Hey man, try harder....
