      Cyberpunk is optimised well bro.. It literally runs on 4gb ram pc with 720p low settings at 30fps...its crazy...
      Developers are lazy to optimize games... Let's be honest..
      Hogwarts legacy runs on Nintendo switch with 4gb ram shared for os, vram and ram but in pc it requires 8~12gb ram alone...
      People might say they have downgraded graphics for switch but if you haven't played pc or console version, you won't notice downgrade of Nintendo switch version...

    Dragon Range is actually the same silicon as the desktop ryzen 7000 parts like the 7700x or 7950x. The only difference is the package, which is slightly smaller and doesn't have an IHS. The cores and IGPU are exactly the same.
    2 CUs really isn't enough for any modern games, but I'm impressed how well you managed.

      Steamdeck is pretty good because it has quad channel memory. More bandwitdh for the CUs.
      Z1 Extreme is not as good as you would expect from the specs because it only has 2 memory channels. 128bit vs 64bit memory controler.

      @@shepardpolska Both the Rog Ally and Steam Deck have 128Bit memory interface.
      The steam Deck just splits it up into 4 32Bit channels as opposed to 2 64Bit channels so bandwidth isn't really too different between them.
      The Steam Decks APU was designed for low power consumption in mind and the ROG ally was a laptop chip put into a handheld.

      @shepardpolska Год назад +1

      610M only has 2 CUs after all, Vega 8 has 8CUs. Effectively Vega 8 has roughly 2 times the compute power. 610M is basicly a video adapter.

      @@shepardpolska Interesting. I've got a Vega 3 laptop as a spare and it's definitely slower than this 610M despite having 3 CUs from what I read. Probably, Yeah.
      It’s not worth spending extra money and effort on designing a iGPU that have no tasks beyond display the image on monitor. I think it’s safe to assume that as heavily cut down version of other RDNA2 gpu.

    • @shepardpolska
      @shepardpolska Год назад +3

      They have RT cores, because the RT core shares function with Texturing units. It isn't really dedicated hardware, they made it so the Texturing units can accelerate Ray intersections.
      Taking out the RT cores would mean redesigning the Texturing units, which would be pretty pointless. It's not cut down, because it doesn't have anything dissabled on it. It was just designed with 2 CUs.

    • @jtenorj

      The minimum is the lowest number of frames recorded in a single second's time. The 0.1% low shows how low the frame rate gets 0.1% of the time. This includes tiny stutters which happen in a relatively small fraction of a second, where the frame rates on either side of the stutter(if looking at a frame time graph) are relatively much higher.

    Hey dude I was thinking of something that would make a good video, and I thought you might want to look into it. I dont know if its video-worthy, but it might be.
    A DLSS-FG mod was just released, that converts FSR3 into DLSS-FG. It works very well, and my impressions after much time with it is that it is about equivalent to DLSS-FG, especially right now in Witcher 3. This mod is a dll drop into the executable library (Nukem9 I think is the dev) and the DLSS-DG option becomes enabled. This apparently works all the way down to 16 series!
    Now, onto the interesting question: Is FSR2, combined with DLSS-FG on the 1660ti/s, enough for RT effects on a 1660 in Witcher 3 (and anything else that might be a good example if it exists)? You might think its a stupid question, but then realize a 1660 can run RT and can enable RT in Witcher 3. Its close, but not there. Is it now?

    AMD is not making super fast APUs due to agreements made with console manufacturers. They sell more to them then they ever would on their own but interestingly enough, Intel saw this years ago and started making dGPUs so they could eventually launch the type of APUs that AMD can only dream of while supplying console makers. And I have this really creeping suspicion that Intel will start to outsell AMD when they hit market.

    Trouble is, this MB only has one PCIe slot, so if you use it for a GPU, you can't use it for SATA additions.
    Ultimately, that board should really be best avoided unless you want a multimedia PC, or don't care about SATA... For a multimedia PC you can probably get something else cheaper anyways.

    • @pauls4522
      @pauls4522 11 месяцев назад

      The Finals is probably more CPU Bound than GPU Bound. The Athlon 3200G is a much older, slower Zen+ish generation of CPU which is a lot slower than Zen 2 and day and night difference from Zen 3 and 4. The GPU is technically stronger, in the 3200G because more compute, but because the CPU is so much slower it sort of balances out. The conveniently similiar to what AMD did with other APU generations past 2000/3000G era. That is reduce the CUs, but bump the GPU clock a little, to further limit the potential of the GPU side of things to sort of "Cap" overally APU gaming performance to be in line what we saw back in 2018/2019.

    2 CU of RDNA2, does it mean it is the same iGPU built into the Desktop Zen4 chips?

    • @shepardpolska
      @shepardpolska Год назад

      Zen4 chips use the same layout, 2CUs of RDNA2, but the one on the Zen4 boosts to 2200Mhz instead of 1900Mhz and is somewhat faster because of that.

      @@exaltedb Wouldn't say that but not that bad for older games. CPU can be upgraded to some Xeon E3-1230...1270 relatively cheap and the beast is good to go for some few years ahead. As is, though...

      Wait hold on, just fyi Xeons don't work on regular 1151 boards iirc, so better check the CPU support list on the motherboard before grabbing an upgrade.

  • @pauls4522
    @pauls4522 11 месяцев назад

    How does this compare to the onboard graphics on the 200GE or the 2200G from several years back?
    Obviously with those older chips you will be using a much weaker CPU and older memory subsystem. But since this is only 2 CUs, despite being RDNA2 that really sounds like a massive intentional bottleneck to block people from attempting to budget game.

      Around 18 months ago I got back into PC gaming by buying a second hand prebuilt with a 2200G. It ended up performing surprisingly well, managing 1080p high at or near 60fps in quite a lot of modern games so long as you turn off AA, which to me felt like a much better experience than dropping both the in game settings and the resolution to have AA

    The 610m might be OK on a low enf R3/R5, for office work, but on an 8 core Ryzen 7?? This is worse than the previous Vega7 and 8 they had, and this while we literally don't have entry level GPUs anymore.
    Make decent APUs AMD, or gamers are much better off going for a 5600x and a vega56/1070ti on the used market.
