Lol, for those who noticed the black tape on the right front clamshell, that was to hide a self inflicted wound. While unloading the car off the trailer at Laguna Seca, the front clip caught a lip on the front of the trailer ramp as I was backing up and cracked the fiberglass. The good people at Superformance in Irvine has since repaired the crack (thank you Ashton Stander) and the car is back on the road again 👍🏻. Thank you Steve Foster for the video. Bravo, I love all your videos! 👏
Very nice! I was at that show but somehow managed to miss this GT40, your P3/4, and the 906!🤦♂️ There is just so much to see, you almost can’t see it all. Maybe this year.
LOL, So they wouldn't let you weld it up to a better standard but they would alow you to fit Air con and put the steering wheel on the wrong side. Sounds a bit like an excuse to me........... The John Wyer Mk1 is the way to go though, MUCH nicer looking than the Shelby Mk2's. Love the tribute to John Wyer Automotive!!
Well, you got me on the fuel injection, lol, but I do drive it year-round on the street. However, some GT40s were actually built with left hand drive and center shifters 😊
@@michaelking6596 Yep! And I'm pretty sure the race cars were all right-hand drive. The MKI, which is this body version, never had a 427, that was in the MKII. Also, how can it be registered as a 1965 vehicle when it was clearly built far later? Strange rules in California to my mind ...

Very nice car....but dont say its accurate when it has a centre shift instead of the sill shift and its got a 427 and fuel injection.... 😳
