Thank you for this video. I’ve just decided I’ve wanted an electric scooter and have gotten so excited for a scooter only to find out it was only sold in Europe or in India. So helpful.
After deliberatly checking out about anything, i'd say the new Niu Nqi Gts sport comes the closest to reliable electric scooters. It's the bestseller worldwide with rave reviews, depending on what you need it for. This was a great and very helpful video. Unbiased. Offers may vary in the US or Europe, but for 80% it's the same market and price. The Vespa is hugely overpriced. You pay for the brand. Check out Cezeta, from the Cjeck Republic, it's wicked and wild! 🇧🇪❤🇵🇷👍
My parents just retired and moved to Florida from the northeast. When they told me they wanted to buy 2 brand new vespas I not so gently nudged them towards getting a NIU NQi GT. We need more electric riders on the road.
I ended up getting a CSC Monterey. Im not sure how well it compares, but the fact that it is obviously designed after the Honda Cub was a big seller for me. Just got it and am liking it a lot.
I bought a NIU MQI GT several weeks ago. I LOVE IT! I also just bought a Suzuki Burgman 650cc Executive, because now I love scooting so much I know I want to do longer trips. :)
I have a zoom scooter purchased it from my neighbor, it's an A to B scooter no mechanical complaints, my dog loves it since I use it when he goes on his 2 mile run in our cul-de-sac.
My Zoom scooter just survived it's 3rd winter outdoors. Charged it up a couple of weeks ago and it rides just as good and as far as it did the last time I rode it.
I have a Niu M+ already for three years mainly for getting to and from work. 45 km a day 15,000 km on the clock. Except for a puncture it has never once let me down. Quiet , no smell and a delight to ride. Next year 2023 here in Holland you cannot buy a scooter/moped anymore with a petrol driven engine. Fine by me. Looked at other european models like vespa, but after watching videos and reading reviews the price quality of niu won the day.

Looking to replace a car with an attachment to carry groceries. Speed is important and smooth ride. Love not having to get into licensing. Make it light weight to transport.
I appreciate both your pointing out, and manufacturers showing practicalities of the scooters. Too often reviews show a scooter or bike, and the idea seems to be these only are to carry one person around! If these are to become more widely used, sidecars, saddlebags, and features to allow some ability to use these, mostly expensive, scooters as real world transportation ideas need to be highlighted and shown off.
I like these vids ands subscribed. The NES 10 seems like it checks all the boxes. A real commuter vehicle will need highway capability. 30 mph vehicles would be considered NEVs, neighborhood only. I need to cruise at 50 mph for around town or get run over. 50 mi of real range is sufficient for daily driving. I want a 50 mph 50 mile range EV, preferably with LFP battery that is removeable/ swappable. The option for a canopy (solar panel) would be a plus. I would really like a small 4 wheel motorbike with enclosed cabin. I have seen several that I like, but few that meet the 50 mph/ 50 mile range under $10,000/
Hello, thank you for your feedback. We have recently made an updated video on a similar topic. The new list had some models capable of 50 mph speeds. Feel free to check our latest uploads.
I like the price point and reliability of electric scooters. My biggest concern is range; no matter how I look at it they are inferior to normal motorscooters due to their limited batteries.
Do you see yourself replacing your daily commuting vehicle with one of these all-electric scooters? Are they worth they money for what is offered? Share your thoughts below!
Nope they aren't. They are just not appealing to anybody that likes to ride two wheels. The top spec 54, equates to a highly tuned 50cc. A 4v liquid cooled 125cc can crack 70mph and is twice as fun.
I love my NIU electric for doing stuff in the neighborhood. I have already bought a 650cc so that I can tour, but I still use my little NIU for everything close by, and that is 90% of what I do.
I'm not surprised that GenZe folded. The bike had a fatal flaw that was obvious to anyone (except evidently) to the design team. The seat was both too high and too wide, so that reach to the ground was much too far. That would be no problem for tall people (think LA Lakers or Chicago Bulls) but normal people would just not be comfortable unless they had extensive motorcycle experience. I have that experience, and could have made it work, but still it was major design blunder. But their target market, according to the promo material, was college women. Other than that, it was a good and very practical bike (great cargo space), with good power up to the governed maximum speed. I rode one at an early demo, and told the marketing manager exactly why the bike would not sell.
LOL "good for 200 MPH speeds" 02:10 That will be news to Daymak. I suppose you could achieve that skydiving with it, so long as the chute doesn't open...

No learners will come to them, against price. They need to be comparible with 125cc, and not the derived 125s with struggle to 55mph, the 125s that push 70mph and higher, not 50cc. Look how small the 50cc market is anyway. Tiny margins, tiny appeal. Big impracticalities. And some a big price tag.
My problem with all the scooters listed where they are underpowered if they can't do about 65 mph they're not worth looking at any scooter I would want to ride would have to do the speed I'm looking at for a road bike to go anywhere I'm not looking to just commute inside of city I'm looking to expand my distance out in the country where I live in West Virginia and it's got to be able to handle the mountains and that's something I didn't see any of your bikes do
Hello, thank you for your feedback. What do you mean by a moped? Mopeds have pedals, these do not. As for the more powerful options, should we make a video dedicated to those?
