Thank you Roy. A great little video. Being a printer I was asked if I could run a Copperplate printing machine for visiting cards and invitations. I said no but would love the opportunity to learn. I became quiet good at it and would smirk at others that would try to explain how it all worked. In my older years I have taken up an interest in antique pottery and transferware. I am once again amazed at the so called experts getting things very wrong as they don't have the background understanding. Keep in good health and I look forwards to watching more of your videos.
As an independent animator I definitely feel like this man's soul brother. People are astounded by the patience and tedium involved, but they have no idea how beautifully the day flows when you're "lost in it". He's probably just as astounded as I am by the patience required for computer programming, office, retail, or bureaucratic work. Strangely, I can spend hours making 1/12th of a second, or two years on a film three minutes long; but ask me to just sit and meditate in the traditional sense and I don't have the stamina to last five minutes.
Really great piece Roy,dedication to your quality of line ,so rewarding after so many years of perfecting your craft...bless you for the gift to others...
So awesome and inspiring I loved it you are who I want to be. That was sic.i got to work the printing press in 7 the grade at cabrillo middle school where kevin costner went to middle school.it was neat . Baby t the engraving skill is unbeliveable. Wow!??

Thank you so much for this short glance in your intimate process and pleasure. Do you yourself pass the craft onto a new generation?
Beautiful to see the passion never stops...
