Once again at Santa Maria Speedway, the sprint car wheelie contest was held at this famed track. This time though, the USAC/CRA 410 Wingless Sprint Cars were the contestants for the $1000 grand prize. This contest though only had two brave souls that came out and raced for the prize: Las Vegas Nevada's own Seth Wilson and the USAC/CRA defending champ Mike Spencer from Temecula, CA. Unfortunately for this year, the wheelies where very tough as you will see. Mike Spencer even did some free style driving through the infield and around the mini oval to earn some more points from the judges (this year, it was some of the photographers in the infield [Steve, Mark & Kori]). In the end, the #1X of Seth Wilson took home the $1000 prize by beating the #50 of Mike Spencer by a score of 22.5 to 13 out of 30. Seth Wilson also hurt some parts after his run near the left front of his car. Please feel free to like, comment, and/or leave feedback as it is greatly appreciated. Enjoy The Video and Thanks For Watching!!!!
man tony, what kind of camera do you use? it is the clearest picture I have ever seen.
Do they do these as it’s own event or do they do the wheelie contests on race nights
Hard on the equipment and for what do the get????? The clap
Less air in the rear tires might help ?
gotta take the stagger out to make that work
+phantom954rr Agreed, two right rear would hook it up!
No they do it all the time in heats and features
both going too slow - revs on both cars too low to get them to hook and lift, need a bit off speed and use the drive off the corner - hold it hard down and she'll go up - should watch the kiwi boys, even the v6 powered cars can lift the whole front down here.
That track is far too dry and slick to get a good wheelie.
do they do this annualy?
way too fast to pull a good wheelie.
you need a 410 wing car to pull this off!
Wing has nothing to do with it. These guys just don’t know what there doing.
@@zacharyradford5552 a wing would actually make it harder by a lot, it literally adds a shitload of downforce. It should be alot easier to wheelie one of these to with how much torque they have
@@WombzyR6 that’s debatable because if they move the wing really far back all of the weight will be on the rear tires, winged sprincars are probably easier to control and also easier to pull wheelies
@@johnnyboi8876 Idk it depends on a bunch of factors 🤷🏻♂️👌🏼
Wings add downforce lol maybe if you move the top wing as far back as it will go and remove the front wing... maybe
