Tough to see them in cages, I guess they live in larger aviaries most the time. If your patient enough they'll befriend you without any need to domesticate.....trust me!
It is a hobby. They are bred in captivity and loved and cared for. They are in show cages and don't live in them for any length of time.
@@smwboxer nice, I just love these animals so much....as you can see in my thumbnail...I am sure that the charm of being around them is very rewarding for all involved and hence they are treated with the reverence they deserve. Arrow (the sparrow in the thumbnail) and I were inseparable for 4 years, he lives as a wild bird in the little town of Nyon....except for the winter when he flies south for a few months. First time was really worrying as he just disappeared, but he rematerialised in the Spring....although it was traumatic I had others around....but there's always a favourite, a tamer and bolder alpha male with such affection for me will probably never happen again. But it's still worth it!🐦😁
