Oscar seems very calm and mature . I thought both drivers did a good job in a tough situation.
No matter how the team is performing at the moment, Unboxed is just well filmed as always. I especially like the scene where Oscar is back in the garage sitting in his car and Lando is pitting and everyone is rushing. Such contrast and subtlety.

I am sure Lando will bring in the points no matter the car. He always bring in results no matter the situation, this is why his team loves him so much... his ability to adapt to whatever is thrown to him is amazing

Thought the better days were this year when they sacked dan. You know the bloke who got used as the escape goat. He's gone no improvement. I guess dan wasn't the problem after all. McLaren be great when Zac Brown and lando leaves.

I started watching in '99 at age of 8 because my dad was really into f1 (boring ferrari fan). I immediately became a mclaren fan.
I sort of lost interest in the mid '10s but got back into it due to 1 person: Danny Ricc. Now he's gone, i still feel the same way about the team as i did before i was even a teenager: rooting super hard, hoping for the best.

What doesn't work doesn't work, the car measures the same as the driver measures, that's a fact. Let's hope we get the cars under control, otherwise it looks really bad for us. I believe in the team and I'm very proud of our Siggi Lando because he rode through to the end, even though it was 17th towards the end, he set clear lines again and showed when we need him he's there.👍

@@erazn9077 the phrasing is a play on Aristotle's, "one swallow does not a summer make." It's pretty common. I believe I've even heard the F1 pundits use the literal phrase on air to describe similar situations in F1, i.e. just because a driver had one good race, one great thing happened, it doesn't mean they are going to win everything, except I'm using it to say, just because they had one bad day, it doesn't mean it's all over for them.

Really odd, on my TV’s RUclips app the audio is lagging by ~2s on this video alone - other videos on YT aren’t out of sync. Going to mobile, no more issues.

Not a great start to this year, but if last year's races are any indication, and with the valuable data gathered in this race, McLaren should be able to work hard to resolve the issues and deficit slowly and surely.
Hopefully McLaren can sneak both cars into points, and the occasional podium sneaking. (Lando's P3 at Imola 2022 is awesome).

Looks like the car is quick enough to compete for 5th. Oscar was moving up the field and Lando had reliability issues about the whole race. So if the upgrades are half as good as they act like we will finish 5th probably.
Next year's car will benefit from the new tunnel so 0 excuses next year

How long is Norris locked into a contract? I think you guys should start throwing some really fat bonus checks at him to make up for the fact that he will never win a WDC as long as he’s at McLaren. He outdrives the car, but even the miracle worker that he is, he alone can’t get it on a podium.

They both are, Piastri is the real deal and will show everyone up once he has the right equipment.

@@jackramsay2267 Often he was quicker than Lando in practise sessions. For some reason Quali he was slower. In the race he found himself pretty much on par. When faster and behind Norris he was asked to stay behind. Odd.
He was slower than Lando most of the time in the same car. I don't know anymore if people are joking, cause being slow was definitely his fault. You can't blame a car when your teammate finishes right behind top 3 teams.

only so much room to fight at the front and Red Bull, Ferrari and possibly Aston Martin seem to have that covered this year. The McLaren car this year is just not it.
I’m not gonna lie with these super young drivers it’s almost like its a daycare for older kids, and for rich kids, that takes them all around to do all kinds of fun activities.. lol
they´re 22 and 24... I mean max was super young when he started with age 17 but they´re really not that young
