There is a reason why I love Lando Norris as a driver and as a personality that I see on the internet. This video just cemented my views and my opinions on lando. I’m so happy that he was the driver that introduced me and brought me into the world on f1
I honestly enjoy him racing alongside Piastri and now we know we get that for at least 3 more seasons. I’m expecting Norris to have a Hakkinen moment. Remember, Hakkinen for years and years had the talent but could never translate it to a win. Then he finally won against Villenevue in Suzuka and he went on for a 2 season romp knocking aside the competition. He’ll get there.
Great to hear Lando being so composed and smart about the challenge to win a world title. I think we might see a prime version of Lando here. With contract extension and security, I think he’s finally able to push past all the rumors and buckle in. Plus Piastri will be pushing him harder than ever this year

I think for right now this was the right decision for Lando because even if McLaren don't progress up the grid and give him a championship winning car he'll still be young enough that he can move on and have plenty of time with another team. I feel like he's the best driver in F1 behind Max and any team will still won't him if things don't workout with McLaren but man I hope they do because I've been a McLaren fan for over 20 years now and I'm just waiting for that next title.

Good that you support Red Bull. A genuine Red Bull fan is a rare thing after all. Lewis came in as a rookie next to a 2 time WDC and challenged him so much so he was a championship contender losing out to a WDC by a point. You can’t sit back and wait your turn and yea Hamiltons rookie year proves that you can hit the ground running … but then Again Lewis was a phenom and a prodigy.. no driver has since matched him ..
I truly hope that his team have built in a performance clause, if not change them. Secondly, I would not have signed with a year to run. I felt he signed too long last time. Just my humble opinion.
I just love that the few haters saying that Oscar will get that first GP win, didn't age well... yes, it's only one for now (Miami, where heat usually hurts performance in the past), but not this time, even after the safety car restart wasn't great, he was able to gain 1.5 in the first lap to not give Max DRS and he controlled the race from there. Ending with a 7.7s gap at the end. So, much love to the Lando comments that were positive, and shame on the haters. We don't see what goes on behind closed doors, and as we know, he's a very technical person, so he understands as such. Yes, 2023 didn't start great, but ended great, this year so far (after the Spanish GP) If he isn't able to at least grab that win, 2nd it is. I can still be objective though as well between team mates, Oscar has had an unbelievable rookie season, he got lucky he only had to suffer that first half vs what Lando has, I'm just looking forward to the rest of the season, it's going to be spicy. Sure, Oscar could as well get his first win this season as well, never know. But man was Lando on fire to grab that pole position in Spain. Anyways, hope to see Lando continuing to get better and better, he's not happy with 2nd now, which is obvious. And now after the more traditional circuit type race tracks coming up, it looks very positive! Cheers everyone!
I rate Lando massively but I think the truth behind not going to RedBull and taking a Championship winning car is the one thing at that team that would stop him from doing so... Max Verstappen. I don't think McLaren can give this man what he needs, not until 2026 and beyond.
@@sunnys7645 Yeah but you have to dare to be great. Do you think Alonso would turn down RB even though Aston showed promise and clearly Alonso would maintain #1 status by staying at Aston and not going to RB? Not a chance in hell. He'd go to RB because Alonso in his mind believes he's better than any and everyone on the grid no matter the car. That's been his mindset always. So then you might say well Alonso is a different animal...to which I would say that's exactly what you need to be in a sport like this to reach all time great status.
@@Drizzydid Bad example because Alonso and Max would be horrible teammates for each other. Lewis, Alonso or Max can never be on the same team or it’s a recipe for disaster. @@sunnys7645 Yeah I did, im saying his best bet is in RB yet he doesnt even bother giving it a chance, how can he beat max in a RB with a McLaren but write off any chance at beating him in a equal car. Doesnt make any sense.
@@DKinger its not just about the equal car. Its that the car is built around the driver. Joining a new team is rarely ever perfect chemistry, let alone joining a reigning world champion who already has the perfect chemistry. If it was Max going to Mclaren to replace Oscar, Lando would be 1000 times more confident.
I definitely believe he’s made the right choice. He would be going from a team in which he is the number 1, with a car that has great potential, based off of where they were at the end of the season, and the management structure that they are implementing, to a team built around Max, in which he’d never win a championship. When it comes to Charles though, I believe it’s more he has no other choice but to stay at Ferrari, since there’s no other option open for the foreseeable future.
He has a very good chance for P2 this year at WDC. There is going to be a very good competition for that position this year. Changing teams would not be advisable. Danny beat Max when Max was new at RedBull. Max would certainly beat Lando if he had made the switch to RedBull.
As of now, verstappen has been able to carry the team but if checo would have finished 3rd last year, 100% lando could have been at the 2nd seat at redbull. If he keeps the momentum 2024 and checo messes up worst than 2023, idk how contracts work but i think redbull would want lando if its possible to break contract. That would make redbull the most dominant team ever for 2025. But for now im happy for lando. Unfortnately for him with max and the RB car is almost impossible to beat but looking forward to the future
hace unos meses hociconeabas con que algunos de los pilotos de la parrilla estando en Redbull harian mejor papel que Checo y ahora haces estas declaraciones , se nota que no te asusta pelear con Max... te da pavor.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Lando is a class act! Unlike Lewis who shamelessly won't stop taking shots at Max despite not winning a race in two years, Lando has the brains to let his driving do the talking and not yap on.
Lando has to win a race first, he has LOADS of time and race wins before he has a chance at winning a championship. I think he's talented, but I just don't see him winning a championship anytime soon.
Not on the near future at least. There is more hungry lions right now. Hamilton and alonso. And them are on a great teams as well. Let alone max. Maybe a win is possible for him
So entering his 6th year in F1 without a win, and his rookie team mate last year took it too him. Expect fireworks this season as Oscar gets way more comfortable with the car, and the team and starts to beat Norris on a regular basis, and then lets see how the solidarity in the team is. I expect McLaren to experience fireworks internally this year.
I don’t think he will ever be a world champion at McLaren though sadly. It’ll be Red Bull for another 2 years and when the reg changes it’ll be the same two teams again.

Breaking News: Norris and Leclerc signed for multi-year extensions. F1 fans: How long? Team: We will not say. F1 fans: Huh???
Lewis came in as a rookie next to a 2 time WDC and challenged him so much so he was a championship contender losing out to a WDC by a point. You can’t sit back and wait your turn and yea Hamiltons rookie year proves that you can hit the ground running … but then Again Lewis was a phenom and a prodigy.. no driver has since matched him ..
One thing tho.. LH, LN & CL havent opted for Red Bull just renewed.. how come?
Lando . Nuts . He will start winning GP's
Lando is championship material 😊
I truly hope that his team have built in a performance clause, if not change them. Secondly, I would not have signed with a year to run. I felt he signed too long last time. Just my humble opinion.
People who think Lando will win a championship
👇
Not at mclaren he wont .
As a Max fan, I sure hope so, I'd love to see them fighting for it...
No doubt he will get there.
Not if max stays in f1
he's got a much better chance than you, mate.
He seems to be more in control, less agitated
hes been with us since 2019 and now we are starting to battle the red bulls and Mercedes and a few top teams and we are getting close
Something tells me Piastri will soon out perform Norris
Great answers by Lando!!
He's a big boy now 😁 Looking forward to a strong season for Papaya!🟧
I rate Lando massively but I think the truth behind not going to RedBull and taking a Championship winning car is the one thing at that team that would stop him from doing so... Max Verstappen. I don't think McLaren can give this man what he needs, not until 2026 and beyond.
He literally said that and explained why he wouldn't beat Max in a RB. Did you watch the video?
Also given the ecosystem Max has around him, Alonso would definitely lose that battle over a season. That has nothing to do with his confidence which you’re talking about
@@sunnys7645 Yeah I did, im saying his best bet is in RB yet he doesnt even bother giving it a chance, how can he beat max in a RB with a McLaren but write off any chance at beating him in a equal car.
Absolutely no doubt - future world champion.
If they keep last year's performance makes sense not to leave at this point new regulations in 2026 can shake up the field...
Very excited for the McMerc to reappear on the grid
Let’s Go Lando! 💪🇬🇧🏁
Why let Craig interview so dull
I definitely believe he’s made the right choice. He would be going from a team in which he is the number 1, with a car that has great potential, based off of where they were at the end of the season, and the management structure that they are implementing, to a team built around Max, in which he’d never win a championship.
When it comes to Charles though, I believe it’s more he has no other choice but to stay at Ferrari, since there’s no other option open for the foreseeable future.
Come on lando let's see some brits at the top of the grid throughout this season let's Go Go Go
Best of luck lad 🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁
You said it. You don’t know how contracts work 😂 like these racers on millions of dollars a week care what you think.
Great interview 👍🏽
I'm a McLaren fan, but I also love Lando very much, so this makes me VERY happy indeed 🧡
Why are there 2 Lando's in the thumbnail?
Lando is growing mustache🎉🎉🎉
He needs a WIN , i think he can do it this year , i will let slide a w for lando instead of super max just one tho
as a hamilton fan, if finding it really easy to subscribe as a lando fan now, dude is so down to earth and helped mclaren improve last year
He's lying. He would've loved that Mercedes seat
Moving to Red Bull would've been extremely stupid. He can go against Max in the future if he wants to once he's achieved his goal.
How many years is a multi-year contract?
As a Carlos fan, Mclaren is a great team ❤
hace unos meses hociconeabas con que algunos de los pilotos de la parrilla estando en Redbull harian mejor papel que Checo y ahora haces estas declaraciones , se nota que no te asusta pelear con Max... te da pavor.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Uncomfortable conversation need to be had if Oscar gets first win before Norris…
Lando’s only competition is himself. So hard on himself. Once he masters that, multi World Champion one day! Papaya Army 🙌
lol @ tash ... get in there Nigel
Lando is a class act! Unlike Lewis who shamelessly won't stop taking shots at Max despite not winning a race in two years, Lando has the brains to let his driving do the talking and not yap on.
Heh. If only he'd held out
Held out for what? Ferrari were pursuing him.
@@TheBrozFerrari has been pursuing Lewis for like 15 years lmao
Why not Redbull...... because his pressure management is so poor that he would lose his self-esteem in seconds. that why he is Lando NO WINS.
Can't wait for them to win again
Lando has to win a race first, he has LOADS of time and race wins before he has a chance at winning a championship. I think he's talented, but I just don't see him winning a championship anytime soon.
LANDOOOO!!!!!! (In Carlos voice)
Nice one lando
Not on the near future at least. There is more hungry lions right now. Hamilton and alonso. And them are on a great teams as well. Let alone max. Maybe a win is possible for him
So entering his 6th year in F1 without a win, and his rookie team mate last year took it too him. Expect fireworks this season as Oscar gets way more comfortable with the car, and the team and starts to beat Norris on a regular basis, and then lets see how the solidarity in the team is. I expect McLaren to experience fireworks internally this year.
Zac told him Piastri needs a wingman
I don’t think he will ever be a world champion at McLaren though sadly. It’ll be Red Bull for another 2 years and when the reg changes it’ll be the same two teams again.
Or Ferrari. I’d glad to see Charles or George be WDC soon.
