Did you know that it would be good to avoid using conifers in terrariums if possible because of the essential oils they contain, such as terpenes, which may be toxic to arachnids. That cone in huntsman's terrarium might be a risk.
Your little panic at seeing the huntsman for the first time was fun to watch! 😄
aha i am much better with the spiders now however some still give me abit of a fright lol - and interesting did not know that will remove
I’m scared of them too that’s why I got into tarantulas and spiders. I have 23 my biggest is a good bird eater. She’s about 7 to 8 inches.
Biggest now is the nhandu but another just molted as man she's pretty big with potent venom lol yeah jumpers where the key not gonna lie some are still abit scary 😂
In Canada we call them phidippus ardens. Oh you do too 😅. That enclosure would make your spiders happier if you flipped it so you don't destroy the hammock. These ones like a drier home. So you don't even need the soil.
They are so easy to love.❤ enjoy
Yeah gonna change the jumping spider enclosures over soon but I also got them all little houses for them to sleep in and Web up, philddipus ardens is a different kind of jumper to the regal but are awesome
Just stumbled on your channel. I'm also a new spider keeper working on my fear of spiders. Just a heads up, you should look into getting some enclosures for the jumpers that don't open from the top. Jumpers tend to make their hammocks at the top of an enclosure, and so you'll end up wrecking their hammock to feed them every time you lift the lid. Good luck, I will keep an eye out on the channel!
Aye I may change up the jumper setups as constantly added different enclosures seeing what works etc thanks for the advice and glad you enjoyed the video
Please.... never try to hold the heteropoda! Not because of a bite, but they can move faster than the human eye can track so they will literally disappear!
Aha yes heard about them so far only held the jumpers the others I have scare me 😂
You must have bought most the spider shops stock up
I've just been on their website and there's hardly owt left 😢😢
aha still plenty left they restock often
Great video 👍 you had me nervous with the huntsman lol
Aha I am now used to the Spiders bit for my first one yeah had me sweating
It's confirmed. I'm stupid! You kept saying 60 pound box and I'm thinking " There's no way it weighs that much. He got ripped off!" Lol.
😂😂 top comment
The moment I hear the intro I subscribed 😊
Ohh appreciated my dude hope you enjoy the channel :)
Please b careful with the orange one there super fast don’t wanna lose that I have one molts every month every if u take care of them they like it dry I’ve never seen an orange one is very beautiful. Reminds me of my OBT.
Ahh tbf she's quite chill and had no problems with her even laid an egg sack recently obs a dead sack as not mated her but she's not escaped yet lol
I say call him “FOZZY’ , the fuzzy huntsman lol…hubby says “splat” as that’s the sound he’d make after his shoe landed..but seriously they are beautiful. 😃
yeah used to the spider now lol - fozzy is a good name
TONGS!!!! I guess some people need to be bit to remind us why we have wise practices. Still I don't think i can handle watching more of your videos. It makes me too nervous
Aha I only use tongs for the massive tarantulas I now have as they scare me and sometimes the scorpions lol nit been bit yet praise the lord
@@CreaturesExotic it's a good practice to use tongs everytime you reach into a tarantula enclosure. I'm glad you are trying to get over arachnophobia. But, do research on the spiders you keep before you get them. And maybe keep terrestrial new world till you have some experience. I thought mystery boxes asked what your experience level is.
Some places do some just have tags however learning more and more along the way
Harry all huntsmen should be Hairy Harry
Ohh I like Harry as a name
Out of curiosity, why are you dressed like it's February?
Some places have had terrential rain
@@donastu1 Ah, not being a jerk. I'm in NJ and it's hot as a rattlesnake's taint.
Aha UK is a mix of hot and cold alot of rain lately probs same in video however I usually wear a beanie and coats or jumpers 😂
