Looks like a good juvenile set up! Probably gonna need something larger as it gets older. Glad your room is about the right temperature, but as long as they’ve got their thermal gradients in order they should be good I bet. Maybe some leaf litter might be nice to give him extra stuff to hide in and things for the spring tails to eat. Also hopefully the humidity is staying okay without a lid. I know I definitely couldn’t do that in my dry climate lol.

Ain’t sure if you are a Star Wars fan, but, how about Lando for the one that landed on the floor? 😅( jepp, Am absolutely playing a bit with words here 😁) and as for the other, maybe Pokémon related, either by name of characters, or of a gras or watertype? @@CreaturesExotic Aww, neat! Have always liked Lando Calrissian's character (at least of what was hinted at in E.S.B) and it was the first name that popped up, so am glad that it is official 😛 Good to know! Clay balls are good that's what soaks the excess water up. I always use clay balls a mesh layer then my substrate mix, moss, leaf litter, plants. You can get some good bits of cork bark in bulk bags from the soider shop too which is handy. I like the little plants that stick to the glass with a suction cup for my jumping spiders.

When looking for larger tarantulas I only look for sexed females as I am not breeding them, so i want a long lived animal. I know females are more expensive but thats because they are going to be around for years, whereas your mature male probably only has a year tops. Buying a big female is an investment as you should have her for years and if you become interested in breeding them in the future you can look out for a mature male then!

Creatures from the north overprice their slings in the mystery boxes to make you think you got the value you paid but it is an absolute rip off.. for example the Birupes Simoroxigorum go for a maximum of £45 for a 2cm sling ranging between £35 to £45.. their fake price of £80-£90 is absolutely a lie.. the other are also priced higher than what they should be aside from the Hati Hati, they are roughly around £8 a sling at the very most.. to add, mature males are worth roughly 1/3 of the price of a female simply because they all die around 2-3 years old.. where as females can live for 10-30 years depending on the species and can be paired over and over again where as males will only be paired a few times before dying once matured as once they mature they only have a few months to live at most, some species have lived longer but its very rare for them to do so.. so many legs, the spider shop, spa spiders and portsmouth tarantulas all provide very good value for money and great customer service, CFTN areby far the worst tarantula vendors in the hobby. Nice collection you have going now though been watching a few of your videos recently!

@@CreaturesExotic I've read comments on this video of people being negative at your choice of tarantulas to begin with don't listen to the negativity ultimately it's your choice and nobody, and i mean nobody can tell you what Ts to start with, obviously do your research of any species before or when you get them, the internet is full of information and it only takes common sense and 10 minutes or browsing the web to understand that all tarantulas have basic needs and only differ slightly based on their locality, the feeding and watering are the same for all of them, they will either eat once a week or they won't spiders are opportunistic feeders and in the wild go weeks without food and thats natural.. make sure they all have a water bowl except small slings they will get 99% of their moisture from the food you give them until around 4-5cm in size... it's very easy.. the only real difference is temperature and humidity but the majority and i mean 98% of Tarantulas like a fair bit of humidity and heat i keep ALL of mine at 25c and they are thriving with around 100+ species in my collection with 95% being old world, including macrothele and linothele true spiders, the only other difference is the living arrangements, e.g arboreals need higher enclosures and something to web behind as they are usually tree dwellers, fossorials need deeper substrate to burrow and terrestrials are show ponies who like to stay out in the open with a few inches of substrate but need a hide to go into so they feel safe.. I started with a Psalmopoeus irminia, did my research before ordering it and jumped in the deep end, by no means a beginner species but that was my preference and the next tarantula was an old world Harpactira Pulchripes then a phormingochilus arboricola and then i went into poecilotheria and so on from them.. your journey is yours alone, aslong as you have a basic understanding of a spiders needs and you do research on each species you acquire so you can house them correctly you don't need to over think it or monitor them constantly.. the less you disturb them the better they will do.. enjoy your journey dude 💪 happy keeping!

You should have stuck to beginner species if you're a beginner, you read on it that it's for an experienced keeper only but you decided to buy it anyway. Please watch Dave's little beasties or the dark den are Tom's big spiders and learn how to handle your tarantulas and rehouse them properly because this video just had me on the edge of my seat. Please all hobbyists care about all of us and most of all for your pets. Do your research do your research do your research I can't stress that enough frankly I like all the spiders that you have and own them all myself but you really should have started with some terrestrial calmer species not anything like the Nhandu. Mature males will sometimes go off their food for the remainder of their lives their main objective now is to breed and that's what he should be doing is going to be bred. Since you're not planning on reading him he's just going to go around and around and around and around and around for the rest of his life looking for a female and it's not going to be any fun for you

I agree. And i also recommend to watch Tarantula collective. He makes good info videos about different tarantula species. I have learned my knowledge from Tarantula groups from Facebook and by watching these guys. Honestly, not any tarantula wants to be held. It's very stressful for them and really dangerous for you because of the biting or hair kicking. Or if you startle and get a quick automatic reflex. A tarantula can fall and be injured. Tarantulas will be more happier the less they are disturbed. At 45:22 did you see him kicking the hair from the abdomen? You don't want that hair on your face or arms. It's not a nice feeling. My first tarantula was C. cyaneopubescens, (starter friendly specie) and i love it 🥰 Beautiful colors. He/she is almost never on the ground. The webbing is stunning and he mostly spends time in his web tunnels. He is fast and i love watching him hunting food. 🤗

So your mm Nahandu is prolly got at most 9 months to a year or so dep on when he matured. A lot of the T's you got in mystery boxes are old world slings who are very very fast and when older have very potent venom so watch your fingers. I wouldn't dare to put such huge isopods with a jumping spider myself, I'd be too scared the isopods would potentially harm the spider close to molting even if they mostly stay at the top. I personally won't be taking that risk, I use dwarf isopods for that reason. I loved seeing all the mantises though, I don't have a single one yet but I find them very very intriguing. I like that little trick of putting pebbles in the water if the spiders are assumably small, will steal that idea. I learned new things about beetles too. ALSO, that first spider was like NAH THIS PAPER MY HOME MAN, YOU GOTTA EVICT ME AND BULLDOZE MY HOUSE! The pinktoe is indeed, very beautiful, especially when grown up from what I've seen! Seeing you with the first animals of sorts is relatable and nice, I only have a jumping spider, fake death's roaches and isopods with unicorn snails right now and it gives me the confidence to do okay with any new critters. I love your attitude towards all these animals, being so interested in all of them and treating them calmly even if some of them tried being sassy with you :') Also I just started thinking what kind of job it is to pack these tarantulas and scorpions into tissue paper... oh dear...

Aha serious set of balls needed I think to pack some of what I have recieved lol - the jumpers are fine tbh as the isopods don't bother them however you have to be careful with isopods and mantises as I swear a rogue one ate one of mine. Mantis are awesome however some very hard to care for and do not live as long esp if a male

@@CreaturesExotic Ohh yes, that's seeming like a con about mantises. They seem really lovely to observe though, and you made handling them look easy. It's good to know some of them are easier than others, will do my research well before getting one

Make sure when your out you get a tall enclosure for the diversipes as it is aboreal. Good like with the T's. I started with my first in February and I now have 46.

46 already? 😮wow! Keep in mind that they need quite a bit of space as they grow. I have two juvenile T's and a H. petersii and of course I would like to have plenty more, but I know that my house will not fit many terrariums when they grow up

@@CreaturesExotic it's a good practice to use tongs everytime you reach into a tarantula enclosure. I'm glad you are trying to get over arachnophobia. But, do research on the spiders you keep before you get them. And maybe keep terrestrial new world till you have some experience. I thought mystery boxes asked what your experience level is.

In Canada we call them phidippus ardens. Oh you do too 😅. That enclosure would make your spiders happier if you flipped it so you don't destroy the hammock. These ones like a drier home. So you don't even need the soil. They are so easy to love.❤ enjoy
