Chet might have better players than Wemby? What! SGA is borderline MVP! Spurs are the youngest team in the league. Drop Wemby in OKC, and they are the prohibitive favorites.
Not necessarily. Chet is a better fit with okc than Wemby imo. Chet’s game is more just blending in compared to Wemby where he is the star player. Wemby won’t be Wemby with SGA there. Theyll still be winning though but better? Maybe 50/50 on that. On the flip side, Chet on the spurs won’t change anything. He would still not be roty if roles were reversed i can tell you that.
@@El_Baka I agree with you. But Victor will not have an MVP caliber player at his side because he will be himself the MVP caliber! If he played with OKC I think they would have wasted his individual talent a little at the beginning but very quickly they would have given him more weight in the game and maybe it was SGA who could not have been 100% him. It's certain that OKC would have been better but maybe not this year. You also have to remember that Chet has been with the team in OKC for 2 years even if he didn't play the first year.
Pop starting Sochan at point guard to begin the season should have been an indication that this was another tank year, I seriously doubt it happens again
No one thought for a second that it wasn't another tank year for the spurs! Everyone saw that pop was doing development on purpose first. And the proof at the end of the year was that they won more games with everyone out and that Victor was playing with G-league players.
His teammates were not letting him run the offense. If anybody watched the games this season, it wasn’t until towards the end that we got to see the offense truly run through wemby when Vassell and Sochan were out on injury. And like he said we won 3/4 games.
VW goat for rookie and basketball skills VW is # 1. BUT most dominant player ever = Wilt C - that's because of the RELATIVE dominance. But VW way more gifted, physical withy skill. No comparison and a lot of it is his skills combined with his height but GOAT
But the league today has a lot more talent and the league is deeper. Even lebron said it this year in an interview. So it's just impossible that a player today can dominate and have Wilt's numbers. Basketball is no longer played like it was back then but still it would really be an alien if that happened. Back to the Future
@@jesus.kraist I understand your point, but there's a couple of things I'd like to say in response: 1) Wilt's per 36 minute averages are still quite a bit better than Victor's 2) Just because someone did something in 29 minutes, doesn't mean the averages would increase to scale. Like if someone averages 8 points in 10 minutes, that doesn't mean they would average 32 points if they played 40 minutes. Wilt and Kareem were obviously more durable at this stage of their career than Victor and that is why they averaged far more minutes. That being said, I love watching Victor play. I hope his career surpasses both Wilt and Kareem, as I never watched those guys play.
@@RobertBalto If you want to compare guys from another era like Wilt and co. Ok but you also have to compare the players they played against to those of today where there is talent everywhere in all the teams and even in the 15th man.

Best rookie ever because off the numbers and the defense numbers he should of won defensive player of the year but the nba full of shit got political and all media made the nba happy but he should of won
Well I checked them out. Wilt played in a league of only 8 teams, there was 1 seven footer in the league. Wilt shot 45% from the field as a rookie shooting 5 foot shots with plumbers guarding him. If Wemby played back then he would have averaged 70ppg, Wilt couldn't even shoot free throws. Wemby is the better player as a rookie just based on skill alone. He's taller, faster, quicker, better handle, better passer, more agile and a WAY BETTER SHOOTER. Wemby per 36 minute stats as a rookie 26ppg 13rebs 5assists 4.3blks. I wonder what WILTS average be if he played only 29.7 minute per game like Wemby did. Especially in this era.💯
21pt-10reb-4ast-4blk. Ok FG and FT %. He played on a team where he's the star. His numbers are similar to Anthony Davis 2nd year. I don't see Wemby ever putting up Luka or Joker LeBron Embiid type numbers. I don't think he'll be a Mt Rushmore player. I hope he stays healthy
Comparing LBJ's rookie season to Wemby's rookie season is funny to me. LeBron James came to the NBA straight out of high school with no professional experience. Wemby came to the NBA with professional experience. Lebron James, with no experience, averages 20.9 PPG, while Weembanyama averages 21.4 PPG. For me, I'm more impressed with a guy who came straight from high school with no professional experience and dominated his rookie season. These are the facts.
LBJ was 19 years old when he entered the league. And guess what, Wemby was 19 years old when he entered the league. That’s all I care. Wemby crushed Lebron’s rookie season
Magic won HS, NCAA, and NBA in three consecutive years as the driving force 5v5. He would make plays that required multiple slow-mo replays to see how far ahead he saw those plays develop.
It's much better for a young player to play against senior professional players than to play against young NCAA players. Do you know that in Europe there are a lot of players who go through the NBA? Experienced players and much stronger athletically. Victor has been playing against these guys since he was 15! First division players in Europe. This is also why Europeans are now becoming stronger and stronger and arriving in the NBA already ready to play compared to players who only have one year in the NCAA.
Well SERIOUSLY?If you know and follow the GAME?you would know and can tell...HE DIFFERENT,he did about twenty things this year on the court that you NEVER see on a basketball court...barring injury..he gonna be GREAT!!!
I don't consider someone who came to the NBA from playing professional basketball as a rookie. He's not. I consider him a Euro pro playing his first season in the NBA. LeBron is the greatest rookie of all time. Why? Because he came directly from High School. High Fucking School!!!
You are right . Victor has been playing against senior professional players since he was 15! And in the top divisions of European countries there are many players who have played in the NBA in the past. Experienced players and much stronger athletically than high school students and even than all NCAA players. This is also why Europeans are now becoming stronger and stronger and arriving in the NBA already ready to play compared to players who only do one year in the NCAA. Now the NBA remains a separate league, with a completely different way of functioning and playing. So it's still a first year in the NBA and it's not given to everyone to be able to do it. And rookie players remain young players aged 19 to 20.
