Check out my video detailing how and why Assassin's Creed's parkour needs to be revolutionised! - ruclips.net/video/qYialdLRpc4/видео.htmlsi=FVBz0INCw1ftFIWJ
A LARGE ultra dense hell's kitchen would be an amazing setting. Jam packed with detail like the yakuza games as an example. Daredevil also needs to be pulpy and noir. Including criminal investigations, detective work, lie detection, branching dialogue, actual court cases connected to criminal activity both in side missions and the over arching narrative.
I love the ideas you bring and I think a reward for side missions could be opening shortcuts in the map... for example, helping out a store owner gives DareDevil the ability to use the stairwell of the building as a shortcut to the roof or the backdoor as a shortcut to the street behind.
I love the idea of tying the game into Spiderman 1, especially in a way that feels very authentic and fitting the narrative/character of both Spidey and Murdock. The games you choose to pull inspiration from all make sense and where very enjoyable in those specific regards, making this concept a lot easier to visualize, nice video.
Man. Someone should hire you. Im tired of the generic superhero games but you really nailed daredevil. I especially liked your vision on parkour and combat
all I can think of is how cool the stealth segments would be, something like the batman arkham series mixed with the last of us listening mechanic a very under powered and low tech hero but plenty capable when handled right
I don’t normally like to allow myself to imagine too deeply into these concepts because I always feel like fans could always imagine themselves a better game developers could ever make and tends to lead to disappointment But this was just so well done and well executed video. Easy to visualize and probably would sell like crazy if executed the way you said. But I imagine making it is always easier said than done. But I definitely support this idea.
I like what you have going on here, and I have SO MUCH MORE to add: i like the idea of interspersing court cases, and this could even loop in uptown Manhattan when he and Foggy graduated Columbia Law; Fisk could be headquartered in "Crime Central" (the Chrysler Building) from the 1994 Spider-Man animated series (would have the side benefit of further opening the world up to some more neighborhoods); you could have "fast travel" where DD either has to change to Matt (or comedically stay in costume) and ride the subway downtown and/or the Ferry to Staten Island; could go to Melvin's garage (like the Netflix show) to "buy" costume upgrades, and maybe "learn" new radar-sense skills; i would want "normal-view" gameplay augmented with "Detective Mode" that you toggle on/off but it would go further detecting vibrations in the building, weak points in structures and enemies (bad back, bad heart, breathing heavy/out of shape, weak knees, even knowing by smell that a strong/muscle enemy had just been to the gym and built up lactic acid in his muscles so he's weaker than usual (kind of like Holmes-A-Vision when RDJ fights enemies in Sherlock Holmes) .... there's SOOOOO much we could do here. I would LOVE to have a crossover with Punisher and co-op for a chapter or 2, potentially leading to Punisher's own spin-off game; crossover with Spidey is a no-brainer, would love to see Netflix Defenders crossover! Man, I could do this all day! What a great character, and he could have SUCH AN AMAZING GAME!!!!
I'd love a Yakuza/Bloodbourne type map. Not massive, but super dense and vertical that opens up short cuts over time. Like every store and apartment feels unique and you can go into multiple building. It should feel like a world that you could never see from while swinging so high or fast like Spiderman. Honestly, something like Arkham Asylum approach for a first game won't be too bad either. Just Daredevil in a building like Reid trying to reach the top. Something that starts off as a regular drug bust or kidnapping but then gradually evolve into something sinister with the Hand or Fisk behind it.
This is a great idea. Sifu like combat in things like corridors or small rooms would be really cool or a stance system akin to ghost of Tsushima or absolver . The city should be either the size of insomniac Manhattan or make Hell’s Kitchen and surrounding areas feel larger and/or denser. For the detective mode the hearing could have that “world on fire” effect. The main villains should be the hand and kingpin with a villain wheel with different set of goals like in the Arkham games
I feel like the New York equivalent to Arkham City would be ideal for a game map. Not an entire city, with a focus on depth. Rooftops, alleyways, accessible buildings, sewers, and subways. It can be gothic and dark, and claustrophobic, in a way that most city games like Watch Dogs and Spider-Man aren't. Matt's billyclub can work in much the same way as Catwoman's whip, assisting with climbing and swinging.
add a GOW rage meter and Arkham style fear system and detective mode, make Hells Kitchen feel homely and dangerous like Kamurocho and ability to change stance like the yakuza games. keep the world small, smaller than you mentioned. everything you said was on point.
in fact the only time i feel he should leave Hells Kitchen would be for linear main story missions as a lawyer or in dismantling crime syndicates that have operations outside of his patrol.
Should also include that Epsom salt steam chamber Daredevil used in the series as a way to heal yourself after an intense fight. Would be a good fast travel point if players get overwhelmed with combat and take too much damage.
Seen a few mentions of sewer systems being present to make hell's kitchen artificially larger, and I will say I do like this idea. If you set his main villain up as mole man, that even gives you insentive to have a whole other part of the open world present. Each Burroughcould have connecting networks of parkour runs prince of Persia style, opening up into larger waterways and caves that could house molemans forces. This would also be a good use of Matt's echo location, as these environments are naturally going to be incredibly dark. The expression of Matt's sonar abilities could be really visually stunning if handled by the right Devs.
Remember, most game maps are condensed down a tiny fraction of their real size. If you want to take on the challenge of recreating Hell's Kitchen to scale, that's 2.13km², which is most comparable to AC Unity's Paris at 2.4km² and *famously* dense with numerous moment opportunities at every angle, even with its added distance restrictions to side hops. An Assassin is the closest to how Daredevil would traverse the the world too, with a combination of parkour and short range grappling and rappelling. This is a lot slower than web swinging, so you definitely won't fly by the world before getting the chance to interact with it the same way you don't in Assassin's Creed games, which get a lot smaller than 2km² Daredevil's primary tools are his clubs. He often switches between using one of these, both of them, or neither. This gives us options for three stances: dual welding, power stancing, and unarmed, with maybe a fourth for combining them into nunchuks. These are useful for different enemy types. The way you switch between them however, is very different than your average stance fighter. Rather than putting away and taking back out the clubs, you have to throw them and kick them up from the ground to change stances. This puts a constant emphasis on crowd control and positioning. Once you unlock the wire grappling clubs you can press another button to pull them back and retain them after throwing them, at the cost of attack power or stun duration. They're also useful for limb manipulations like trips and throws. Let's say you have an Enforcer in front of you who's vulnerable to unarmed, and two Grunts on either side. You throw the clubs at the Grunts, stunning them, burst down the Enforcer with your fists during that time you earned, then finish of the stunned Grunts. Then a Brute, who's vulnerable to dual welding, comes out of nowhere and starts trying to grab you, but you don't have your clubs equipped and can't counter him. You dodge him once reflexively, then two more times aiming for the knocked out Grunts so you can kick up your clubs before finally landing the counter and throw him into a nearby shelf, because environmental interactions and takedowns are awesome. That's how your average combat encounter goes. Clubs are also your main stealth tool for stunning enemies to rush them down or knocking them off ledges like batarangs. Maybe we can have a binary shadow system so you can smash out lights with them too. Every impact makes a bit of noise, so you have to stay mobile to escape subsequent investigations. If you expend them both you can no longer grapple, so you have to consider your movement as a tradeoff for your tool usage. If you can move bodies it needs to be bound to a different button so grabbing your clubs is responsive and reliable While Detective Vision seems like an obvious fit for sonar, it's been pretty played out by this point, and having wallhacks at any time you want is a really shallow way to handle information gathering. I've been thinking for years about how to portray the way a blind person perceives the world. I've tried A Blind Legend, but the spatial awareness was too vague for me (I bet this would hit hard in VR). The sonar effect for crimes you showed is a bit closer. What's interesting about sonar is it only tells you the shape of sounds, not what they are exactly. I'm picturing something like a blurry picture of the original source: A heartbeat, a gun being loaded. Soundwaves then travel along the connected surfaces, briefly showing the shape of nearby walls, vents, and beams through their changes in direction. I have a horror game wishlisted that seems to use a similar effect. This makes it so you have to analyze the source of the sound and think about what it is. It can also be overwhelmed by loud noises like a gas generator which creates thick and constant waves that travel great distances and make it difficult to see nearby heartbeats. You can interact with anything that makes noise in order to make it stop, creating prioritization in how you route through a stealth encounter to help clear up your information gathering capabilities. There's also the sense of smell to consider. Vapors could be rendered in a different color to distinguish them from sounds. Different enemy types can also show up differently in senses mode so you can tell them apart or struggle to locate them. Ninjas could have a comic-booky ability to silence their heart rate. Brutes could be extra sweaty, and Enforcers could have a cigarette lit when undisturbed. This is a great opportunity to try a more innovative and thoughtful take on information gathering in a genre that's full of shallow clones of Detective Vision
I think making the map smaller makes a ton of sense because as much as Daredevil is an acrobatic, agile character, he's no where near as fast as Spider-Man when it comes to traversal in that way. Like parkouring from rooftop to rooftop with the occasional grapple swing isn't going to be as fast as web-slinging so making the map size comparable to Spider-Man's would just make getting around a bit of a slog.
You saying that they should integrate sifu fighting mechanics got me thinking, and it sounds like an awesome idea. Combining Arkham stealth, sifu fighting mechanics, casing, and increasing parkour and risk is such a good idea. I would want this game to be made by insomniac because if anyone can do it in the awesome ideas you've highlighted, it's insomniac. Great video by the way! 🔥🔥
I desperately want a Daredevil game by Insomniac! I was hoping that they would've announced a Daredevil game but I'm still happy with a Wolverine game but there's still a chance because apparently Insomniac is working on a new Marvel project aside from Spider-Man and Wolverine. I *really* hope it's Daredevil. Especially since the cancelled 2003 Daredevil game looked absolutely phenomenal but it was stolen from us😭
I think have different parts of the campaign take you to 2-4 different neighborhoods and then you can go back to those if you want. Obv Hell's Kitchen, probably Chinatown and maybe like the Upper West Side or something. Then with those smaller areas as you said, make them denser, make like 75% of the buildings places you can actually walk inside, add more pedestrians, add subway lines and/or a sewer where maybe a homeless population lives. There's a lot you could do
The ending of this game would have to be the set some time after Spider-Man beats him in Spider-Man PS4. At the trial of Kingpin you hear a voice walk in saying “sorry I’m late, your honor. Matt Murdock on behalf of Nelson and Murdock”
I really think a block and parry system would go a long way in improving the combat and differentiating it from other superhero games. Additionally, I think you should be able to actually weave attacks like in sifu as opposed to batman where you just roll out of the way.
I’d also love to see some guest appearances from some other street level heroes such as moon knight or Luke Cage. Maybe some of them could have side quests where you help them take down a villain such as Taskmaster or bullseye.
The only way I can see Daredevil working is that you’d have to make it as if he was blind. And that would probably hurt the eyes. In the open world, you can pretty much “see” everything because the city is loud all the time. But everything should be monotone because he can’t see color. You can hear the shape of people. Put a little effect on people’s feet when they take a step. Something that comes into affect during stealth missions. You can find people through heart beat and a cloud for their odor. Sound could cause a bleeding effect where it reveals the environment in splotches. Something like a timed event where 2 goons are talking and you have to take them down before the convo ends because the environment goes away. Boss fights in a train station that reveal the area, but is too loud for you. Having to take out gunmen before they shoot because, even though they miss, it’ll be loud and black out half the screen. Man, every thought I have about the game from Matt’s POV, the more ambitious it is. Because everything has to rely on his hearing, smell and touch.
I love your ideas for visualising how he views the world, but unfortunately I don't think the general audience would have the patience for a monotone game. I think integrating features like the one I mentioned about hearing crimes is a good balance because it represents his abilities but doesn't restrict the player. But having plenty of accessibility settings for players that are actually blind, like what Naughty Dog had in their latest games, would be great. I think the overall view of how the game plays would be similar to Spider-Man PS4, but there are lots of visual and audio cues to show Matt's enhanced senses G work.
@@AllFatherMediaMaybe we can do that in actual unique stealth missions where it's super dark, but that doesn't hinder Daredevil and the player will also manage by relying on echolocation from hearing peoples footsteps and heartbeats. It doesn't have to be throughout the entire game, but I feel in some areas it can be an interesting change of pace and maybe even add variety. Maybe even the fear element could be strong in these special sections
All i want is a mode that lets us play the whole game using only daredevils senses. Being mostly blind but using sound and and maybe a visual representation of smell and feel.
I hate how games nowadays just use XP points and send you to an upgrade menu. I would love if the game made you go to gyms to increase endurance, health, etc. Also doing fight clubs and training with martial arts masters to unlock new skills and abilities would be awesome. Daredevil would also be a great game to show both sides of the hero by dealing with law cases during the day, doing interviews with clients, and digging up dirt on crime lords before taking them out as daredevil and if enough evidence wasn’t found to put them behind bars then they can get out on bail or whatever. Could work similarly to LA Noir/Ace Attorney like you said. Making money from successful cases would also be cool to be able to buy better equipment for daredevil or even require him to get repairs on equipment as it’s used so there’s still a reason to keep playing after the story.
Developer: Insomniac Games Game title: Daredevil The Man Without Fear Open-World inspired by Spider-Man, Watch Dogs and Assassins's Creed. Combat inspired by Sleeping Dogs and Sifu. Stealth inspired by Batman Arkham Asylum, City, Origins and Knight.
Omg for years I’ve been thinking and saying that the grappling should be from uncharted 4 and the listening mode should be like the last of us. I feel so validated lmao. And you make great point with a smaller map. Something maybe the size of Arkham City/Origins would work great for DD’s more grounded movement. Great video
A REALLY cool gameplay idea for a daredevil game would be having lawyer side missions. A client would visit the firm and have a case for you to tackle. When you hear out the client, you gather clues as daredevil and go through your evidence BUT there is a catch. Some clients are actually guilty and you have the choice to destroy evidence and intentionally botch the case so they get arrested, or defend and successfully win but the guilty client goes free. This ties in perfectly with the dark morality of the legal system in the daredevil comics, where Matt is often conflicted and critical of it. Do you do the right thing and let a criminal get punished while sacrificing your integrity as a lawyer? Or stay true to lawyer principals and assure every client gets a fair trial? I'd even have different dialogues Matt says after a case depending on how it went like him feeling horrible that a guilty man walked free, or Matt wondering if he's right for intentionally sending a guilty client to prison when he promised a fair trial Another gameplay feature could be his senses being different types of detective vision. Hearing, touching, smelling. Hearing would tag enemies and be able to see through walls. Touching would highlight the area youre in and give you the layout. Smelling would help find enemy placed traps, lasers and collectibles For combat, give daredevil 3 distinct fighting styles: Boxing, Clubs, and Ninjitsu Boxing would be for singular or few enemies, and be the strongest and slowest with heavy punches and arm attacks Clubs would be for enemies that require heavier hits and ranged attacks. You can throw and ricochet your clubs, and smack stronger enemies with them as well as trip them with the club wires. This would be the "main" fighting style Ninjitsu is the most agile with flashy kicks and acrobatics, and focuses on groups of enemies and heavily armed enemies
Could be like how meditation works in Jedi Survivor and the hot springs in Ghost Of Tsushima combined, you pray at the church to access your skills and abilities and do upgrades and via voice monologue Matt reflects on his actions
Honestly would like to se more from the takedown of gangs and also the impact of courtcases as Matt. In addition to adapting to Insomniacs spiderman as mentioned I would show how Kingpin rose to fame and how people came to him for work as his goons so your work through this game showing it's impact beyond the gangs you take down. An early J.J.Jameson would be interesting to introduce maybe via radio and the physical newspaper, this could be expanded showing how or why he went digital and his early hate to spiderman potentially the confusion between the two heroes.
As long as we get an Elektra DLC where she is playable. Black cat not being playable in Spider-Man was a TERRIBLE mistake. As bad as removing Catwoman as a overworked character in Arkham knight
Agree the city map shouldn’t just be Hell’s Kitchen. DD’s radar covers all of Hell’s Kitchen but the closer you go to the borders of the map the more you can see other parts of NY onwards and can even leave but most of ur missions are in Hell’s Kitchen. And I want everything to be black and red when you play as DD. And u also have to worry about ur senses. If there’s something with super loud noise or a super strong smell (villains should use it against DD) DD has to use other senses but if u get in a situation where all the senses are completely disoriented you need to find a way to blindly retreat to somewhere that allows at least one sense. And DD should only see red trials for scent or footprints and sound waves and vibrations but if people are within range they’re outlined and detailed with red and black. If it’s too hard on the players eyes make it so DD can focus on certain senses and tune the rest out. Think it could take place during and after Spider-Man since he should’ve put Willy in jail after the trail since lawyers were getting their asses handed to them before and covers kingpin’s breakout or getting released with some bs he pulled out. Maybe he made a deal with the hand. And maybe it starts taking place before Spider-Man, have him start with the black suit, then gold and red, then just red
Ome thing i love about darksouls games is the fact that a basic grunt can still kill you, this would be a good aspect to brjng over, guns shouldnt be trivialised like they are in spiderman

dude! this is an amazing video. i think i might have stumbled on to a future great and known youtuber when he was still small😉🙏 definitely earned a sub, cant wait for your next video
The radar/detective vision could be like the professor pyg section of arkham knight so you can switch between different senses and pick up different clues
I think a cool concept for a Daredevil game would be when travelling through the game, you wouldn't be able to reading signs that didn't pop out on buildings. Like it'd appear somewhat distorted on the screen because the world can be a projection of how Daredevil is mapping the world since he's blind.
I feel like there should be some sort of trying to real-time balance being daredevil and being normal lawyer man and when you arrive to places people start haveing suspicion about you.
I think as a game mechanic it could make players frustrated, but as a detail it would be awesome. Hearing dialogue for conspiracy theories (maybe even from JJJ) after spending more time as DD than Matt would be cool, but it shouldn't halt the game progression for players that don't want to play slower (in other words, it shouldn't have a "you cannot start this mission because your suspicion level is too high. Spend some time as Matt Murdock to proceed.")
I'd like to add regarding the fact that Matt Murdock is a lawyer. Using this radar sort of hearing mechanic would be pretty cool in an undercover mission where, like the Netflix series and even a scene from the show as a part of your video, could be used as some choice you have in a courtroom or prison or investigating where you can find out if someone is lying, a secret passage to a hideout or something similar where some are required and some are obligatory. Thoughts anyone?
I love the idea of a smaller map for daredevil it fits him more somehow and you could add a ton of detail in a smaller map like inside of buildings fleshed out and rooftop parkour that rivals mirrors edge type shit
I think the court cases would actually be a good opportunity to add something a Daredevil game that most superhero games can't really have which is dialogue choices that have somewhat sortof significant gameplay effects. After you takedown various Kingpin cronies, you do the trials. If you do poorly, they are let free or given a slap on the wrist. They can maybe even continue to cause random street crimes. If you do well they get the sentences they deserve. This works because the dialogue a lawyer in a court room is more tactical and thus doesn't as well reflect the worldview of the character thus bypassing the main problem with dialogue choices in superhero games which is that the characters are to well defined. It also wouldn't be very significant continuity-wise because who cares how long an individual Kingpin crony stayed active when any who get away can presumibly just be caught up in Kingpin's conviction at the end of the game anyway (or retire after thier boss is imprisoned).
If they could implement something like the Nemesis system into this you could have low level criminals that, if they get free, have a bone to pick with Daredevil and become a sort of mini-boss
Everything you've said I agree with, i feel Matt deserves his own game and because hes so much more combat and acrobatic based he would be a perfect character to make a game about, loved the video man keep it up!
Man, i love your video, i wish there where more videos like this on RUclips about a Daredevil game concept. If your interested cause it's kinda long, but feel free to reed my comment that i wrote on an other DD game concept video of of troyboy's take on a DD game. So here is my comment: It would be so dope to play a Daredevil game that is a mix between a sidescroller (like the new prince of persia game that is coming out soon), and a Telltale game, and also in the art style of a Telltale game. Like when you play as Daredevil, it's a sidescroller, and when you play as Matt Murdock, it switches to a Telltale game with cinematics and a moral system. A moral system would fit just perfectly for Matt Murdock, because as a lawyer you can decide how you are defending your clients in court with the choices that you make in the story, also it would be cool if there is an option while playing as Matt Murdock to listen to their haertbeat when the game allows you to choose that option, and that the game encourage you as the player to wear headphones, so it also needs to have great sound design to take full advantage of your surroundings when you're wearing headphones to have the full experience of being Matt/Daredevil. Like Imagine overhearing things from goons with funny dialogue like the Arkham games that might help you in your case, or also finding important documents in braille and recordings laying around that also gives you more world building and as a bonus more options to choose for your morality system. kinda like in "Detroit become human" when you explore more of your saroundings to give a you a upper hand in your choices. Speaking of braille, it would be kinda a cool feature if you are able to translate the braille documents by slowly swiping the touchpad from left to right, like as if you're reading braille and it translates to normal text on your screen. Kinda like this: ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● ● Swipe 👆➡️👆 It says: TEXT And also when you play as DD, the environment would look like as if the world's on fire, like how Matt described it in the Netflix series. And when you play as Matt, it just normal looking Telltale style gameplay. Some people may think a sidescroling game is boring, cause i have to admit, some sidescrollers are boring. Like Assassin's creed chronicles China. But i see a lot of potential in this. Like if there is enough love and care put in the character, and with the right people working on a game like this, maybe it would even change our perspective on how we view on sidescroling superhero games in the future.
agree with everything you said. I do have an addition, similar to the braindance segments in cyberpunk 2077 where you would make use of different senses (sound, touch and smell) to solve puzzles I think including use of more senses would be awesome and really unique to a daredevil game. love all the other game examples you used, I was thinking the same with uncharted and sifu in fact I modded sifu into a daredevil run myself including using the eagle vision esque screen effect supplied in game as well as mucking around with enb to make the game look like daredevil's vision depicted in the show and that was pretty fun to play with.
I would like it if the game ended with a Court case taking place at the same time as Spider-Man 1 where you put kingpin away for good. Maybe he could even get broken out and you have to fight him one last time to get him back.
Loved your video and loved your breakdown of how a Daredevil game could work. It was very detailed and innovative. I also like that someone else agrees with me as far as the look of the world. I keep telling people that just because Matt is blind doesn’t mean that the player also has to be or that there’s gotta be some super abstract way that we see Hell’s Kitchen as the player. That wouldn’t be much fun imo. Or maybe it could be if they do it in a way that’s inventive and wouldn’t hinder the player too much. DD moves around like a normal person because he can see the world around him. He only uses the cane for appearances and to sell the fact that he’s blind. We even see he doesn’t really need it and ditches it multiple times in the Netflix show. If Matt wanted to he could just walk around like a normal person and you wouldn’t think he’s blind. So the player also being blind or seeing the world a certain abstract way isn’t really necessary to make a challenging and fun game to me. It could still be fun and feel like DD without hindering the player. And I want to be able to see the world around me. I’d also like to add that as far as the combat, I would love for you to be able to switch between combat modes. You have the option to either use your hands, use the billy club in its base form plus with the grapple and retracting mechanics, break it apart and use them as escrima sticks, extend it and use it as a staff, or use the nunchuck feature. And you should be able to freely switch between any of those. But obviously if it’s an origin story where he starts off with the black suit, he won’t have the billy club yet. Probably either just his hands or the escrima sticks. I think that mechanic would be super cool. There’s so much potential with a Daredevil game it’s crazy.
👿🥢 Difficulties 🥢👿 There are 5 difficulties in the game! EASY ( The easiest ) LAWYER ( Second easiest ) FIGHTER ( Normal ) DEVIL ( Hard ) and SURVIVOR ( Very hard ) The survivor mode makes it that the player is so limited that enemies are faster, more aggressive and smart. Pushing Daredevil to the limit of his blind abilities.
👿🥢 FINISHERS 🥢👿 In the Batman Arkham games, Batman can instantly grab an enemy, and perform brutal bone breaking finishers on thugs. During combat, build up your combo and press triangle and circle 🔼⏺️ at the same time, to perform a melee billy club finisher
Daredevil does have powers he has super senses and the ability to ricochet his billy clubs off any surface and super human reaction speed able to stop bullets with a swing of his billy club
I was thinking about how the whole idea about the map being strictly Hell's Kitchen could be a detriment because it's not that big of a place and you wouldn't allow players to explore other places such as water and different landscapes. I believe the best would be to have Manhattan but a focus on Hell's Kitchen, like Miles Morales focused on Harlem. Since Daredevil doesn't have powers to swing like Spider-Man can, the map should be smaller and better made to fit Daredevil's traversal, where he should have 'Prince of Persia' mixed with 'Assassin's Creed' parkour, because those are the games that have a full on parkour mechanics system with wallrunning and walljumping while fitting in open world. We have to remember that Daredevil is human, so the traversal is extremely important to get right, where if you mess up while crawling on rooftops and all that, you will fall and well... get hurt really bad or die.
Daredevils physical prowess and attributes i hate to say it are far greater than the average human. With his sense of touch gives him strength and balance beyond human capability. He is capable of falling from a 25 to 30 foot building, landing on his feet and being perfectly fine. His agility and dexterity are at peak human perfection. And his reflexes and sense, as stan lee himself once said, are a step above spidermans. So to make him seem as though hes a regular guy like in assasins creed or watchdogs. He would have to move like that but enhanced a bit.
👿🥢 VILLAINS 🥢👿 I think the best top 8 villains for a PS5 Daredevil game 🎮 could be... 1. Wilson Fisk - AKA The KINGPIN 👑 2. Benjamin Poindexter - AKA BULLSEYE 🎯 3. ELEKTRA 4. Mr. FEAR 💀 5. Frank Castle - AKA The PUNISHER 💀 6. LADY BULLSEYE 🎯 7. HAMMERHEAD 8. Melvin Potter - AKA GLADIATOR
Yeah he’d definitely have similar combat to nightwing in the Arkham and Gotham kinghts games but what I loved the most was to mixing of other games and incorporating their mechanics onto it genius man!
I love love love everything you just said. The superhero videogame has so much potential, and you're really digging into it here. One of the things I think the Arkham games never got a chance to try, and the Spider-Man games are a little reluctant to commit to, is the duel identity of the characters. I feel like you need to integrate the secret identity into the game, and your idea of how to do it is brilliant. Integrating Matt Murdoch's work into the game stories would deepen the game as a whole. To further your idea, I'd love to see a more systemic version of the superhero videogame. In Arkham Knight, the world progressed as the story progressed, but it'd be interesting if the world shifts and progresses based on what decisions you make, what outcomes you achieve over the course of the game. I think the concept of the open world hasn't been truly explored yet, and I'd love to see a game that follows less of a singular arc like a movie, and works in a more modular way. It'd be tricky as hell to execute, but I think multiple interconnected story-arcs would be more interesting than just one long main campaign, and a bunch of disconnected DLC stories. Like, if you chose to take on Kingpin, that's one modular arc. But at the same time, the Hand is operating in the city, and you could chose to pursue that arc instead. And the orders of events in each arc could rearrange themselves depending on what decisions you make. In short, I'm less interested in playing through a Daredevil videogame story in the style of the Spider-Man games, good as they are, and more interested in a Daredevil simulator, which would feature emergent stories based on decisions I make, my success rate, play style, tools, even the costume I wear. Plus, the cases I take on as Matt Murdoch, or pass off to Foggy. I think there's an incredible narrative experience to be created beyond just telling a story in the videogame format.
He should also be forced to sleep at some point because if he doesn't it effects everything he doesn't in game, maybe he even starts to have auditory hallucinations
It’s something I was hoping for in Gotham knight but it would be interesting to have a tap to zip up hold to swing mechanic so you have more variety in traversal that’s also engaging to your movement and I think it would also work well for daredevils traversal
Honestly I think just Hell’s Kitchen is perfect. Have the map small but extremely detailed, focusing much more on grounded parkour than swinging. A small map can allow you to go into more interiors as well, which is daredevils bread and butter
i think the first dare devil game shoudl have a map that is or feels like batman arkhamn asylum. a place where batman is trapped or stuck but spends the whole game there. it could be that the hand has trapped him or somthing.
Check out my video detailing how and why Assassin's Creed's parkour needs to be revolutionised! - ruclips.net/video/qYialdLRpc4/видео.htmlsi=FVBz0INCw1ftFIWJ
Where’d you find the concept art at 3:56 ?
I feel to make hells kitchen feel denser, the detail layers of the world could be rooftops, in buildings, streets and sewers
Yeah I agree
Ye you can make a small space feel expansive by just putting a focus on interiors look at batman arkham asylum as a perfect example
Would make it different enough from Spiderman but not linear like punisher or wolverine.
Making a mechanic where you can go in many more buildings and even houses to run through and chase criminals could make for great gameplay.
That's a great idea and definitely would make you feel more personally connected to the world
That's sick. Maybe you could throw clubs at latches to release fire escapes as you run too
I love the idea of tying the game into Spiderman 1, especially in a way that feels very authentic and fitting the narrative/character of both Spidey and Murdock.
Thank you! I'm full of ideas, I just need to learn the technical stuff... Maybe one day 👀
"Elektra's payload is exposed. I can use my billy club, to trigger a controlled explosion."
I personally believe the city should be the size of Arkham city
I agree but not as messy for a daredevil video game but then again batman Arkham city would be a possibility for a daredevil video game
This Daredevil video game concept/pitch was phenomenally good and interesting and hope a AAA Daredevil video game gets made one day
all I can think of is how cool the stealth segments would be, something like the batman arkham series mixed with the last of us listening mechanic a very under powered and low tech hero but plenty capable when handled right
I don’t normally like to allow myself to imagine too deeply into these concepts because I always feel like fans could always imagine themselves a better game developers could ever make and tends to lead to disappointment
But this was just so well done and well executed video. Easy to visualize and probably would sell like crazy if executed the way you said. But I imagine making it is always easier said than done.
But I definitely support this idea.
Agree. These are actually some really good ideas.
Matt's billyclub can work in much the same way as Catwoman's whip, assisting with climbing and swinging.
honestly i'd also love if such a game also tackled his civilian identity, I wanna get involved in trials as murdock
add a GOW rage meter and Arkham style fear system and detective mode, make Hells Kitchen feel homely and dangerous like Kamurocho and ability to change stance like the yakuza games. keep the world small, smaller than you mentioned. everything you said was on point.
in fact the only time i feel he should leave Hells Kitchen would be for linear main story missions as a lawyer or in dismantling crime syndicates that have operations outside of his patrol.
This is a lot slower than web swinging, so you definitely won't fly by the world before getting the chance to interact with it the same way you don't in Assassin's Creed games, which get a lot smaller than 2km²
Daredevil's primary tools are his clubs. If you can move bodies it needs to be bound to a different button so grabbing your clubs is responsive and reliable
While Detective Vision seems like an obvious fit for sonar, it's been pretty played out by this point, and having wallhacks at any time you want is a really shallow way to handle information gathering.
A Daredevil game has Arkham potential
Wow man, your ideas for a Daredevil game are amazing, if you actually made such game i would definetly buy it.
This is really thought out, I would love to work on or play a game like this.
Thanks :) Hay if you're a developer you could always pitch it
not only great ideas but also a great pitch and clear presentation. Amazing work!
Thank you :)
😎😎
I really think a block and parry system would go a long way in improving the combat and differentiating it from other superhero games. Additionally, I think you should be able to actually weave attacks like in sifu as opposed to batman where you just roll out of the way.
Maybe even having to dodge in specific directions to avoid getting hit
Chip Zdarskys Daredevil comics is my favorite run on the character its so good man
All i want is a mode that lets us play the whole game using only daredevils senses.
A daredevil telltale game would go hard
Someone At Marvel Get This Man A Job
Developer: Insomniac Games
Game title: Daredevil The Man Without Fear
Open-World inspired by Spider-Man, Watch Dogs and Assassins's Creed.
Great video
Small dense map is key. I wanna be able to bust through windows
Some of the environmental ideas for this video can be adequately used for an incredible TMNT AAA game.
Dude, what a great pitch, if it was to be made this would be an unbelievable template, solid video!!
A great example of small but dense would be Kamurocho from yakuza. They have used that map for 15 games but no matter what it still fresh.
I'd even have different dialogues Matt says after a case depending on how it went like him feeling horrible that a guilty man walked free, or Matt wondering if he's right for intentionally sending a guilty client to prison when he promised a fair trial
Another gameplay feature could be his senses being different types of detective vision. Hearing, touching, smelling. Hearing would tag enemies and be able to see through walls. Touching would highlight the area youre in and give you the layout. Smelling would help find enemy placed traps, lasers and collectibles
For combat, give daredevil 3 distinct fighting styles: Boxing, Clubs, and Ninjitsu
Boxing would be for singular or few enemies, and be the strongest and slowest with heavy punches and arm attacks
Clubs would be for enemies that require heavier hits and ranged attacks. You can throw and ricochet your clubs, and smack stronger enemies with them as well as trip them with the club wires. This would be the "main" fighting style
Ninjitsu is the most agile with flashy kicks and acrobatics, and focuses on groups of enemies and heavily armed enemies
It all depends on Daredevil Born Again's success and if we're lucky it appears in Spiderman 4 to make it super popular again.
When you think about it…. this is actually a perfect idea. A DD game is LOOONG overdue
I need to be able to pray in church. Classic Daredevil.
Could be like how meditation works in Jedi Survivor and the hot springs in Ghost Of Tsushima combined, you pray at the church to access your skills and abilities and do upgrades and via voice monologue Matt reflects on his actions
@@AllFatherMedia Excellent.
who said we will be seeing New York? nah we will hear the city
This fr sounds like the BEST Game of all time.
If you guys wanna crank this idea to 11. Add in an L.A Noire detective aspect. Interviewing suspects and dialogue trees for in court lawyer gameplay
I did mention that and show a clip of LA Noir 😅
@@AllFatherMedia I'm dumb I just got to it. Hey at least we both have the same good idea haha
I had an idea for a VR Daredevil game, but this is just as cool.
It’s just a black screen

Great video, man! Could you do a video on a Venom spin-off game concept?
It's something I might do eventually, but it you check out @SlightStardust on RUclips I was on a stream there that was all about a Venom game!
dude! this is an amazing video.
i think i might have stumbled on to a future great and known youtuber when he was still small😉🙏
definitely earned a sub, cant wait for your next video
I want DareDevil game so badly!!
I really like all these ideas!
Sleeping dogs the video game has that dark gritty style as well so it's Also perfect for a daredevil video game
Definitely. It's a great game, I wish we'd gotten a sequel. I'd definitely love a Daredevil game to have a similar vibe and tone.
AC Unity is a perfect example of Daredevil traversal!
The radar/detective vision could be like the professor pyg section of arkham knight so you can switch between different senses and pick up different clues
That's a cool idea
@@AllFatherMediaThey can use the mechanic from prototype 2 for the radar sense
"I Elektra's smell will lead me right to her"
All my homies love Daredevil
I think a cool concept for a Daredevil game would be when travelling through the game, you wouldn't be able to reading signs that didn't pop out on buildings. Like it'd appear somewhat distorted on the screen because the world can be a projection of how Daredevil is mapping the world since he's blind.
Interesting
Well said less is more
I'd like to add regarding the fact that Matt Murdock is a lawyer.
Absolutely! Plus, more population with various stuff going on you could interact with as DD or as Matt.
Making it first person would make the animation much more cost effective
I suppose it could work. Mirrors Edge has pretty good first person melee combat that is very acrobatic.
Do a video like this on Hulk i really want a new Hulk game
So here is my comment:
It would be so dope to play a Daredevil game that is a mix between a sidescroller (like the new prince of persia game that is coming out soon), and a Telltale game, and also in the art style of a Telltale game.
Kinda like this:
● ● ● ● ●
● ● ● ● ●
● ● ● ●
Swipe 👆➡️👆
It says: TEXT
And also when you play as DD, the environment would look like as if the world's on fire, like how Matt described it in the Netflix series.
*Yeah I agree with the map changes*
*I just can't imagine Daredevil roaming the same city as (Spider-Man)*
*Even if they're in the same universe*
Great concept, hopefully something like this can be made
You did a great work, very interesting
love the concept and it would be fun to see old games concepts being renewed
A dare devil game is something I never thought of but something that would be so good
Loved your video and loved your breakdown of how a Daredevil game could work.
👿🥢 Difficulties 🥢👿
There are 5 difficulties in the game!
👿🥢 FINISHERS 🥢👿
In the Batman Arkham games, Batman can instantly grab an enemy, and perform brutal bone breaking finishers on thugs.
I wouldn't change a thing, u nailed it dawg.
Insomniac should not only buy this concept from u but hire u to run the project, straight up.❤
👿🥢 VILLAINS 🥢👿
I think the best top 8 villains for a PS5 Daredevil game 🎮 could be...
1. Wilson Fisk - AKA The KINGPIN 👑
2. Benjamin Poindexter - AKA BULLSEYE 🎯
3. ELEKTRA
4. Mr. FEAR 💀
5. Frank Castle - AKA The PUNISHER 💀
6. LADY BULLSEYE 🎯
7. HAMMERHEAD
8. Melvin Potter - AKA GLADIATOR
Yeah he’d definitely have similar combat to nightwing in the Arkham and Gotham kinghts games but what I loved the most was to mixing of other games and incorporating their mechanics onto it genius man!
I'd limit it to Hells Kitchen with a lot of vertically.

^ I 100% agree with this statement, I’ve always wanted to play a Daredevil game ever since I was a kid❕🤌🏼
Like in uncharted 3 where you can go inside of open windows and apartments while parkouring. That would be cool
Daredevil needs a smaller map land hells kitchen is definitely that a more personal game
i think the first dare devil game shoudl have a map that is or feels like batman arkhamn asylum. a place where batman is trapped or stuck but spends the whole game there. it could be that the hand has trapped him or somthing.
