@@superlid69 Ah, the day after I watched your video, I mod my keyboard (k2v2 non hot swap brown switch) with Silicon damper, lubed switch and stabs, with stock keycaps and the sound is amazing!!

Awesome video brotha! Just curious, I'm considering doing the spacebar pour. Is it necessary to cut out the middle and how difficult is it?
It's pretty simple. I used a Cutter to cut all the way to the inside of the silicone. let it fall out
But the disadvantage is that the silicone around the Spacebar may come off.
You might as well use some hot glue to stick around the silicone so it won't come off 🙂

Nice sound! I have the same keyboard. Did you put silicon in all of the key caps? How is the silicon holding up?
I put Silicon only Spacebar , Shift , Enter .
When I insert the silicon, it sticks and doesn't come out easily.
If it falls off, you can find glue to fix it.

Did you put foam in between the pcb and plate? or did the k2v2 already come with it?
Keychron didn't put foam between the PCB.

How much of a difference do the switch films make?

hi! is worth aluminium frame? or plastic its ok I don't know which choose between k2 v2 hot swappable plastic frame or k2 v2 non swappable aluminium .. I can't find in my country k2v2 swappable aluminum..
I think the aluminum version is not worth it because it's just the aluminum rim, not the whole aluminum base like Keychron Q1 Q3 , so I think the Plastic version is enough. 😃

do you think the silicone filling and the xda pbt keycaps contribute quite a lot to the new sound profile?
I used the method from here.
I think it's a huge contribution to XDA Profile.
as far as i try The sound is very different from Cherry Profile.

You can find [Grade 0] Krytox GPL 205G0 and Permatex 22058 Dielectric Tune-Up Grease.
Could i use glue instead of silicone for the keycaps ???
Glue and silicone have different properties. Silicone is really good at dampening. Glue will mess your keycaps and board up.
I think it's better to use silicone.
