- This video gives you a look into the XP Long Range Academy Level I graduation ceremony. We give students a chance to let us know what they liked most about the course and what their takeaways are. After that we announce the top 3 shooters who all get to pick items off the prize table!
This course is pass or fail. There are academic/written test requirements as well as shooter performance requirements.
Students must score a minimum of 80% on a very challenging written test and must hit 7 out of 10 targets ranging from 300 yards out to 1000 yards to pass the course.
We are proud to announce that after 3 courses, we have yet to have anyone fail.

Gary Melton is a former U.S. Army Special Forces Green Beret, Weapons Sergeant, and Sniper Team Leader with 4 combat tours. He has worked full time as a Unit Chief and Special Tactics Instructor at a federal agency, and is the owner and Lead Instructor for Paramount Tactical Solutions.
Paramount Tactical Solutions is staffed by Special Operations veterans and cadre that are required to have high level operational experience and to have worked full time as a tactical instructor for Federal Law Enforcement and/or the military. Paramount specializes in training Military and LE units as well as civilians in firearms, tactics, security, and tactical medicine.
Our courses are located at Summit Point, WV just 1.5hrs from Washington DC, near Winchester, VA. We are mobile and can provide onsite training as well.
Our XP Long Range Academy Courses are held at Pigg River Precision in Rocky Mount, Va.

I had other things to concentrate on this year and had to put it off.

Looks and sounds like a great course with Gary and Ray who want every student to walk away with everything these two fine fellas have learned in their professional careers about shooting long range. Looks like the every student learned a ton about hitting small targets at long range. Mission accomplished gentleman 👍.
It is. I took the Lvl 1 Long Range last year and came back this year for the lvl 1 & 2 and still learned a ton. Had a great time both times. Well worth the money and time. Very professional. The only company I’ll train with.
Can’t beat training with Gary, Ray and Moe… XP provides excellent instruction and is a ton of fun. Sorry I missed this class, looking forward to next year. Looks like it was a great class.
You can miss one. It’s allowed. Hopefully by next season I’ll be living in WV so I can give you a hard time more often

I think if I can pull off a course, this will be the one I need to go to. I am doing decently well learning PRS and I think getting the basics down, but I'm sure someone at your level could really poke at my deficiencies and get me to move up a few notches. If I didn't have to work, I would totally be there! I just dislike missing work, I am weird, lol. Learning from Ray and Gary would be one of the few things that could convince me to take a day off sometime. I just have to plan way out ahead and work double hard a few months before leaving for a few days.
My local matches start in 3 weeks, so I have this weekend and next to practice and get my ammo dialed in, then match on the 29th to start testing myself again!

Oh sure. You put out stuff for this class and the first class. But nothing on the second 😢😢😭😭. Congrats to the winners. Not sure what you can improve on it was perfect in my view. Can’t wait til next year
