Vintage is just one of the finer things in life!! I’m the same way...I find something I love, and the urge to bump it up to the next level (buy more) takes over. ☺️☺️👊👊. Russian sage would be one of those things. 😉 Another beautiful video-thank you, Allen!
I always think back at Grandmas house when I see hollyhocks. Nice to see the original beauties making a comeback! That plume is awesome!! (takes me back there again to my 70's having dried neutral plumes in my bedroom) Not being into planting and knowing time to be planted, would look nice to have rhubarb swiss chard to compliment it, depending seasonally! Nice idea on candle gourds as well as Great Tip on pumpkin planters along with planting in the ground later. Thanks Allen. A wealth of information! 🍁
I'm a seed saver too!! Everything from Amaranth to Zinnia (A-Z :) I share my seeds at various seed exchanges and community libraries. Makes me happy to know that something I grew is now growing in someone else's garden and bringing them joy.
Thank you so much!!! I have created a raised bed in my backyard and I have the fall planting fever really bad! I live in southeast Tennessee. You are my favorite person to watch on RUclips...
Beautiful, just simply beautiful Mr. Allen Days are getting shorter by the minute, fall is very close, then winter, and I can’t wait for another spring.
Because of your lovely Moss Mountain farm, I have big goals for next season. Namely, creating several raised planting beds with loads of flowers and my own veggies. I wonder about your pumpkin house and the number of pumpkins used. Did you count them? We all had a guess at the number but never found out the answer!
I just dropped some hollyhock seeds yesterday. My smaller marigolds are 4ft high & the white marigolds are overpowering the orange when grown together. I made a maple apple blondie which smelled up the house really nice. I got the recipe from Pinterest but the sugar was extremely high.
I live in the Sacramento area but gardening here about a year. Gardened my whole life in Montana and then Oakland California. It is very hot here but I think I can plant anything a good garden center sells. But I want to transplant the beautiful chard I planted a year ago.
I have just discovered you this year in 2020 in the spring. Spring and Fall are my favorite times to work in the garden because I live in NC and summer is so hot. This year I'm going to grow several plants from seed. QUESTION: Most of your plants you have shown, I have to jump from site to site to find the flower seeds in this video. Do you have a site or two I can find seed for these plants? Also, I have loved marigolds since I was a little kid. I'm as old as dirt so thats a long time. :)
I hope you can help me with this. I have moved to East Texas and there are sooooooooooo many bugs, I have a lot of bug bite scars. I do have a pest control company come out, and I spray for bugs near the perimeter of my home. Where I live, its in the woods, there are deer, rabbits, raccoons, armadillos, wolves, and other creatures. A few of the trees the leaves were getting black spots. I took a leaf to a lawnscaping company and they identified the bugs as spider mites. There are ants that interfere with the AC units, etc. Fleas small enough to get through the screens. Here is my question: I am hoping you can tell me about pesticides. One brand said it got rid of spider mites, also said the trees would not bear nuts the next time around. I also want to spray the whole lawn for bugs, ants and other things but I don't want to contaminate the nuts that fall from the trees for the deer, and other animals. Do pesticides hurt the animals if they get on the nuts that fall? I ask a question that sounds stupid because I find it hard to believe a pesticide company would be spraying a home in the woods if it caused harm to the nature that lives here. They spray 10 ft perimeter. I hope you can give me some suggestions and answers.
I really want to grow the tall variety of marigolds. I am located in zone 6 Ontario, Canada. I never see these offered in the nursery. So I assume I will have to find packaged seeds to find this variety?
I have an heirloom sun button mum that is yellow with small blooms up and down the stem. I'd be glad to mail you a start if you'd like to have it. -Rose-

I love the vintage mums. I love the color but they do not last that long in my garden over the years. Thank you for sharing the different types.

John Pringle I had them in my zone 6 in north Texas. Grow from seed. They were So massive.

I thought Amaranth had been banned in the US. Is this in the pigweed family?
I think when I die I'll tell St.Peter I'd rather go to your farm instead of heaven. Just saying. Simply breathe taking.
I like to watch your channel but please consider having more relaxing music
Why do youtubers think they have to add music over their videos? The content us good enough.
Simple Steve why do some people feel the need to always complain about something? 😂
@@pgreen8869 I'm a complainer , that's what I do!
😂 I actually like most of it, is that weird?
