    I really appreciate all the great garden information, a lot I have already incorporated in my garden. However, it seems that I always glean something I can use in every video. Thanks again and have a great week.

    You must be a millionaire to be able to grow so many plants in such a huge place. If only we could all have a little bit on Eden! Beautiful colour contrasts!

    Allen, what I love is how you promote in the process a healthy lifestyle in gardening. You honestly look younger than some 20 yr olds I know who never leave their couches and video games.

    When you start talking about tomatoes you remind me of Alton Brown from food Network. Lol that was creative and cute the way you changed it up. ❤️ I love your videos. Thank you for teaching me so much about gardening and life...

    Always such great ideas!!! I live in Northwest Louisiana, and in a new home....The backyard was severely neglected! So, we are going to make the backyard, Southern tropical.....with plants that will survive winters in zone 8. A pergola, waterfall, and flower beds around the fences.....and an outdoor movieTHEATER! And you give me such great ideas!!! Thank you ! You're the best!!! !

    Just ANOTHER reason to plant MORE LAVENDER! 🤓 I set two fans on either side of the back porch...the mosquitoes hate wind, and the fans extend our outdoor time by keeping mosquitoes and other biting insects at bay. You just have to talk louder to keep your voice level above the blaring fans (no wimpy fan will do😉). ☺️☺️. Unfortunately, we had to cut down many cedar trees as I found they were havens for mosquitoes and the dogs were always laying under them which increased their chances of getting mosquito heart worms, but ya gotta do what ya gotta do. Thanks for another excellent video, Allen!

    Love the tips you provide in all your videos. I recently had some poison oak and killed it by using a gallon of water, a cup of salt and some (2TBS) Dawn dish liquid. You can spray it on or do like I did and pour it on. Bye Bye poison oak. Vinegar would also be good to add to this mixture.
    Happy Summer! 😎🍉🌿

    The rain barrel segment was right on time. I was thinking about a rain barrel because my water bill is getting expensive due to my new garden.
    Didn’t know some cities do not accept them. I’m assuming because of the mosquito larvae?

    • @ejohnson3131
      @ejohnson3131 4 года назад

      R Darrett - No, it's not because of mosquitoes because if you cover it, that shouldn't be a problem. It's about water rights. In some cities, warehouses with large roof surfaces would collect the water and use it for irrigation, flushing toilets and what not. Some people got greedy and collected that water in large cisterns and would profit from it. This water that was being collected was not making its way to the underground aquifers and environmentalists saw it as a natural disaster in the making, so they passed laws where rain water could not be collected. Every city has different ordinances, but most let homeowners collect it for irrigating around their own property. They just don't want it collected at a commercial level.

    Please help😢 I’ve been an avid flower gardener for years. I lived in eastern WA state for many yrs & had a lot of clay soil. It took yrs & a lot of work to get many areas ok to plant. I just moved to Kansas City, MO (zone 5) last yr. Low & behold, i have another yd w/tons of clay. Is there an easier & quicker way besides replacing the soil? Or what plants will grow in this crap? I’ve got a lot of lilies ;) but i want a lot more kinds of flowers to plant. Thk u. Love your vids!
