Hey Jo! The outdoor setup looks rad! I know you know i have followed you for a long time but wanted to say you have grown so much over the years, both personally and professionally and am so glad you have taken us along with you. I too, along with that little old lady, am so proud of you!
I just started doing craft fairs/local markets too and found your channel while trying to find ideas for display + setup. This video was SO helpful and inspired to me, and now I have to check out Swoon patterns too (they should totally pay you for referrals ;) Anyway, I just wandered back to this video after a binge of your other craft marketing prep videos and it is so comforting to do my sewing and packing prep while you talk about doing your own. Just wanted to say thank you for making excellent videos and give you some nice metrics
Aw thank you so much, this was the sweetest comment! 🥰 So glad I could be of some help, and sending you all the luck on your markets! You've got this!🤘🖤
Swoon has some cute patterns. STILL love that Dolly bag. I bought the Sydney to try out. The outdoor setup looked good. Was that a JD? We have an Oliver, New Holland and a Kubota. I didn't even know some markets make you have insurance. Chains with dowels was ingenious for hanging space.
Yep, it's a JD - just a lil guy for doing snow cleanup and hauling firewood up to the house. My partner has a secondhand Kubota excavator and a lil New Holland skid steer - I call them his real life Lego vehicles 😂 And yeah, it's always the most expensive markets that make you get the insurance too 🫠
for not handling the heat well, I've seen some people make blankets with pockets lined with freezer packs. making a little throw blanket sized thing might make doing events outside on hot days more bearable. bad news is that it's a whole other thing you gotta carry with you tho.
Omg you just triggered a memory! I remember when I was like 12, my dad was doing some Earth day event dressed as Arbor Bear (I don't think that's really a thing outside of the company he worked for 😅) and my mom added terrycloth pockets to the inside of a mesh safety vest and tucked ice packs in those. The blanket idea is also great - maybe I can just stuff a small one in my lunch cooler! Thank you for the suggestion When I work the beer tent, I sometimes bring a bandana that I can dunk in the ice water chilling the cans and put it around my neck. Helps a ton!
