I have this exact same guitar... It was given to me as a gift by a old filmmaker friend of mine 40 some years ago... Ody Griffith...! It hangs on my wall he purchased it for his son in 1954...👍❤️🎶
I watched your demo of the new orangewood rubber bridge model (which I bought!) and YT recommended this, which is great. Now watching your other vids. Thx!
Hey man! In case you’re wondering this guitar is indeed made by harmony and was a catalog guitar from the 50s just like most of Ruben’s guitars are. Nice playing.
Love the sound of this and the playing. The acoustic sound mic'd was my favorite followed by the electric pickup. May need to look into a rubber bridge (or rubber bridge guitar) for the next recording.
I have one too! Have you experience the rubber bridge degrading at all? I'm curious if you have any tips or solutions. I've notice my bridge starts deteriorating and cracking after a few months...
Nothing as of yet, but its still relatively new so I'll keep you posted if i notice anything weird happening! For what it's worth, I know some of my homies who have had their's for a couple years and all seems to be in check!
How much was the guitar? Just wanted to get a grasp of how much they are before I walk in 😅 I kind of don’t like going in a playing and walking out empty handed haha. By the way do you do in person lessons?
Roy Rogers is from my hometown. Going to need to pick one of these up for a rubber bridge conversion

I liked the Harmony but this is great. Such a cool piece of Americana being put to good use with some absolutely gorgeous playing.
Such a unique piece! Thanks for tuning in!

If you don’t mind me asking what does an “old style rubber bridge guitar” cost?
They're all differently priced! Best bet is to call in and see what they have in stock, or just pop by in person. Anywhere from $800-$2,000
@@TheDonutDoctor thanks for the info! Wish I could I’m in Seattle ☺️

austrian audio baby!
Sounds lovely! :) I like the pure pickup sound. Do you know what kind of pickup they used? I think I should get one for mine too :)

Make one! I have a harmony Broadway and made a rubber bridge and put an old gretsch filtertron in it. Boom what a vibe:)

I'm not 100% but pretty sure a tube screamer, big sky, julia chorus, and some delay!
