So only number 2 could be it because the "O" and the six spot side do NOT contradict the orientations shown in the left hand image. Question 3 is wrong heres why, if we realy have eight people handshaking one time the hands of the others it would be like this, one shakes the hand of seven, and everyone shakes hand seven times and 7x8 is 56.
8 ppl total everyone shakes each other one time. start with 1 shaking other 7 as u said, that's 7 shakes happened. once u shook everyone (everyone shook with u), u are out of the group, now we down to 7 ppl total, 1 person shakes other 6 then he's out. that's another 6 shakes, so at the end its 7+6+5+4+3+2+1=28.
