On the match and the differences I'm noticing in 1ga's team's responding to 1ga's mental freeze she experiences when challenged: I see a few improvements. The tennis in this match was pretty tragic, because conditions were awful.. But both 1ga and Mirra played some great points here and there. And for me, it was exciting watching how they adjust their serve tactics throughout the match. Another positive: 1ga finally accepting the battle and exiting the mental rut. Her team did well there for a change! They started screaming at her, showing some engagement. It's only taken them 3 years of facing all these challenges as the undisputed world no.1, a legend in the making, to realize that 1ga has a mental cacoon she hides in when pressed. Screaming something at her so that something changes and she exits that cacoon actually helped her when she nearly shanked the Gracheva match and against Mirra. So this was a good prep for all her chances going forward. And I genuinely hope she starts taking and playing slams as she's doing masters: without fear, pressure etc.. if she can make that bridge in her mind, the opportunities are endless. Until that happens, she will always have at least 1 match in slams where she'll be challenged and will just freeze. It's happened 13 times in the last 10 slams+Olympics (since becoming no.1), and she managed to win 6 such matches: Zheng rg22, niemeier uo22, saba uo22, muchova rg23, bencic wb23, osaka rg24. With 7 losses: cornet wb22, rybka ao23, svitolina wb23, penko uo23, noskova ao24, puti wb24, Zheng oly24. In all of these 13 matches, she was FROZEN. And yet most times, played tough battles, won 6/13. But 13 is a high number in 10 slams+oly. I know it's tough for her, these numbers show that, but they also show she needs a change in responding to these pressures if she wants to reach an even higher level. Perhaps take slams as practice tournaments? Or it could start within her team, with them somehow breaking the barriers 1ga puts around her when she's challenged at slams.. it was great seeing that work in Cincy 2x now, now pls do it in slams too 🙏🌙
Seems like the only thing that will make WTA change the video quality is if a big player for example says something in an interview that has a decent amount of eyes on it.
Somehow,I don't think Iga's going to lift the US Open trophy this year, unless her lengthy toilet breaks work for her again, like here, the Paris Olympics, the Australian Open earlier this year and at the 2022 US Open which she won but unfortunately didn't work for her at this year's Wimbledon R3 match against Putintseva. Iga's fast acquiring the reputation as the female Tsitsipas!😂 Noticed how she doesn't need any toilet breaks at the French Open.😅
In a WTA where most of the top players show their absolute incompetence in COMPETE against (ain't talking about defeat) Iga, Mirra showed why she's not a "wishful thinking" but a reality yet to be modelled, but... I mean she did what 95% of the circuit cannot even imagine doing even players THEORETICALLY at Iga's level.
Iga was a weird habit of not playing that well the first time she plays someone eg Noskova, Kalinskaya. This isnt how she played yesterday against Marta. Either way e.g Coco was relaxed and free in her first few meetings with Iga - it is only when the losses start piling that playing Iga is harder.
In an interview, Andreeva had the decency to say that Swiatek was nothing exceptional. So, being number one for 116 weeks, holding 5 GS, Olympic bronze medal, highest-paid women's tennis player. So she went from confident to arrogant and ridiculous in five seconds. The results speak for themselves my friend, Swiatek is everything Andreeva would like to be, jealousy jealousy.
Iga is only exceptional due to other players refusing to add to their game. If some added and or changed their games iga would not be number one, but Elena or Aryna would.
@@markuse3472 Sounds like every exceptional player then. "Serena/Navratilova/my mother is only exceptional due to other players refusing to add to their game!"
A great match. Andreeva is a phenomenal player, but her inexperience at this stage sadly came through in those last few games. Got way too down on herself, while Iga remained calm and that was all the difference in the end. props to both🎉

cHANGING the pace is what Iga needs to do against a player like Mirra who Iga will play many times in the future, Mixet it up, and Mirra is already god at that . But Iga overcome the problems with unforced arrors and just made it. Great match !
In deciding sets why do they always show many points from the first few games, and then jump to match point? We would rather see points from when it's 5-5 or 6-5.
All comments on Andreeva's great future: are you even watching since 2023? She was there and everyone is saying she's the next one. Stop writing this everytime she plays well vs a top 5.
The level of this match was tragic... Both sides make a lot of unforced errors etc... Maybe the weather conditions (high temperature, high humidity) had a big impact on it, but the match was not exciting at all and I say this as an Iga fan :)
OK I liked your comment til the last sentence. The tennis was pretty tragic, because conditions are awful.. so it's tragic across all matches. But both 1ga and Mirra played some great points here and there. And for me, it was exciting watching how they adjust their serve tactics throughout the match. Another positive: 1ga finally accepting the battle and not shanking everything when challenged, focusing on serve +1 and putting the ball in play. So it was a good mental prep for US open.
The commentators showed their bigotry by not recognizing the even play in their concluding comments. They just saw a future WTA leader and gave no respect for her first outing against the current #1. Do tennis a favor and please either rescript or retire the commentator.
A year ago I was a little more cautious than you, considering just how social media can affect players, especially very young ones. But at this stage, I am happy with her development and the way she copes with the ruthless media and see no reason why she shouldn't be the number 1 within a few years 👍👍
Mirra played brilliantly in this match, especially in the first set where she dominated over Iga. It's amazing what this girl can play tennis at the age of 17. Even Iga could learn from her a few things... If she doesn't stop developing, as is unfortunately the case with Cori, she will be the undisputed number 1 before she turns 20.
More and more players are taking a set from Iga Swiatek and it is surprising the path that Mirra Andreeva is taking, she is improving her playing technique much more and the most wonderful thing is that she stands up to very top players, without her racket shaking, here is a very clear example of how she made the game difficult for the Polish player and for being the first time, It's a positive thing for the Russian girl. IMHO!

THIS WAS A TENNIS MATCH! MIRRA ANDREEVA HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE RUSSIAN AGGRESSION AGAINST UKRAINE!! THINK ABOUT IT!@@Roberto-j5b1b
@@Roberto-j5b1b what to explain? Money are the key.;)
Martina Navratilova: "What matters isn’t how well you play when you’re playing well. What matters is how well you play when you’re playing badly."
A bit like watching hockey years ago, you know they're hitting something, you just can't see what it is.
Mirra mirra mirra, playing 6 matches a year against someone who plays non stop with the best
There are rules for young players in tennis. Mirra is not allowed to play more tournaments in one year before she 's 18 ...
@@Gerd-es9yp But 6 is too few, they should let her to play 10 tournaments in one year.
Russkij mir.
@@markuse3472 get your meds
Wrong ..would like for you to give us all a link... so we can see that comment...because Mirra like and respect IGA
@@markuse3472 Sounds like every exceptional player then. "Serena/Navratilova/my mother is only exceptional due to other players refusing to add to their game!"
Keep going IGA 💪
The ball is barely visible 😭
Mirra is a future star no question. What a young talent.
She is a future cannon fodder.
After Monica Seles biggest one for sure...
@@milanvelickovic6666not at all. Sharapova, serena, capriati. All of them way more achieved at the same age as andreeva is now
sad i cudn’t see the ball most of the times😒
A great match. Andreeva is a phenomenal player, but her inexperience at this stage sadly came through in those last few games. Got way too down on herself, while Iga remained calm and that was all the difference in the end. props to both🎉
What are "props"? For the life of me can someone tell me what props are?
Is it catchy? Do I have to get a PCR test to find out?
@@57too Lol... I wouldn't worry too much. It took me two weeks to figure out what "Cry harder 😂" means and why and how to use it myself - and now the damn expression has gone out of fashion. Nobody uses it anymore!
@@57too No but an IQ test might help
That jump at the end is terrible for a highlight video. Do better, WTA.
cHANGING the pace is what Iga needs to do against a player like Mirra who Iga will play many times in the future, Mixet it up, and Mirra is already god at that . But Iga overcome the problems with unforced arrors and just made it. Great match !
In deciding sets why do they always show many points from the first few games, and then jump to match point? We would rather see points from when it's 5-5 or 6-5.
I find it’s better for 17 yo Mirra to lose her first match against nr1. stay humble and stay hungry 🙃
From 3-3 in the final set then suddenly to match point Iga… you couldn’t include even one crucial point leading upto that?
The ball is completely invisible. Raise the frame rate of your videos and the resolution please.
All comments on Andreeva's great future: are you even watching since 2023? She was there and everyone is saying she's the next one. Stop writing this everytime she plays well vs a top 5.
Andreeva play very well today...I believe Mirra has a very bright future ahead her....
@@jameslandrum160 Yeah like in tennis you can predict who will be a constant top player...
Good fight mirra
Even Sabalenka can't play like that with Swiatek. I think if she had won yesterday, she would have won the tournament.
I can't see the ball in 720 quality... 1080 or 2140 quality please!!!
well done iga💪👏🥰,whew!
andreeva is getting there👌....
awesome game ladies.
She would not
@@s__imaan Could it be some hate?
@@zerozen5483 she would not be number 1 until iga becomes +30
@@s__imaan Iga will one day get tired and someone will take her place like any tennis player.
I agree. But unfortunately when she'll be playing more good tournaments there will be more haters with senseless comments...😟
Meera is really improving, congrats IGA.!!!
1ga! Well done!
stupid compilation: no sense of flow. the only thing they could make worse is to delete the match-winning game
IMHO!
@@Alfredul03 Exactly ! I'm sure in a few years she will be at a top position in the ranking. There will be a great rivalry between Iga and Mirra in the next years
Cincy is Iga's worst tournament, so where one is to take a set of Świątek, if not here?
@@Alfredul03 Iga isnt at her best obviously at the moment. But its still enough to win big matches. She has proved countless times that when she is at her best she can destroy with bagels even the top 5. You cant maintain the same level for the whole season, its completely ok
Clearly You have no idea that everyone is studying Iga's game and wants game, set or match from her. That's how the game goes
@@arwena1659 Pretty sure wimbledon is her worst tournament

Mirra Andreeva is a true teenage sensation. She is humble and sweat. Much likeable than another so-called teenage sensation who cries and complains all the time. 🙂
The invisible ball again. Cincinnati needs to switch from blue screen back to green screen.
compared to other matches (of Sabalenka, Zheng, ...), why is it hard to see the ball in this video ? I noticed that the color of the court is different. Is that real, or because of some video processing ?
No sun cover and filter on the camera.
Why can't WTA make 1080p 60fps videos!! or at least 1080p. The whole tournament video quality is outright horrible
