- Being a new player is hard! But when you're using a weapon that is BROKEN and you don't realize it, it gets even harder! That's exactly what happened in today's video! We are currently trying to level up to Level 30 before using DLC (for the most part) so I have been using the 7MM Magnum, my most powerful weapon, on potential Diamonds & Rares!!! I was missing a LOT of shots and wondering what was happening - was this happening because I don't have all of my skills & perks?!? But, in the end, we came away with 2 Diamonds and a sweet little Rare! And realized, finally, that the 7mm is shooting REALLY HIGH! We did alright for Level 25!!!

So, you won't believe it!!! I was strolling around ind Belmont lakes and it was pretty dark, I see a level 4 black tail 210 yards away, I'm like why won't I take a shot, I shoot it from 210 yards away on the trot! I walk up and its oddly dark I claim the harvest and it's a SUPER RARE DIAMOND MELANISTIC black tail! First super rare, I'm so pround!!!

Its quiete interesting how “old” this game is, I just got it yesterday and I tought this game was only 2 year old, it’s amazing how the community can change a game!

Roosevelt elk are absolutely amazing. I really hope they do them as the next great one or do a backfill species and have Rockies on Layton lakes or something!!

Did you update your game before you bought it.
There was no population reset so you will still have to shoot them at night to respawn in the morning
Sign of a job well done.....working on shotgun level and low crawled up on 2 flocks of turkeys and some random pheasants....... I got 8 turkeys and 2 pheasants........talk about HOT PINK on the map.

Anyone else sometimes think the wind is out to get you? Yesterday I worked 180 around a zone, only to find the wind had done the same…. Literally exactly 180
YES! Every time I have to stalk into something, the wind changes at the last minute so I come in from the other side and it happens again! Seriously???? LOL

You can give it a shot, but if they dont respawn back in the zone you already have you should go and find the rest.

Got my first diamond Red Deer today, after 1500 kills.
It was my second technically, but the .308 or i was glitching at the time and it was demoted to a gold.
Super happy.

That area you hunted is a great place to set up a tent 😂 there’s a strip of land where anything crossing has to come through also

I used the 7mm empress for so long I held off on dlc. The 7mm is definitely buggy have missed clear lung shots high many times. Reason I bought the 300 and 308 and don’t regret it lol instant downs.

Hey legend I don’t know if your gonna respond or be able to help me but I’m very very new and I’ve been watching this series, and when I was playing hunter call of the wild there was a glitch where I have gotten some new bullets and a new strattus I think it was but when I tried to equip it, it said it equipped into my inventory but when I tried to check it, it was gone and it happened to all my other weapons and now I cant play because I have no weapons

Idk what the issue is with the .454, i tried shooting moose on medved with it at 30 meters and didn't hit any vitals either (perfectly broadside). I think i'm gonna switch to the .44 or the .45 colt to get the pistol score to unlock the better bullets for the .454. With it's stats, it should have no problem getting a single lung on a moose under 50 meters without the 100 penetration ammo, but it doesn't for some reason, at least not consistently, since i had no problem taking banteng with it lol and they are class 9
Moose it's one of the strongest animals in game after a cape buffalo. It's needs a class 9. Banteng needs weakened to a class 8

The reason that the Sundberg did not kill the moose is because with the cheap bullets, you have to get a perfect broadside to barely get a lung on a moose. I’ve only done it once, and it’s extremely hard to do. If they’re barely off, it’s not gonna penetrate. Only direct broadside shots work

I haven’t been to Layton in over a year.
7mm always shot high, and it also has a trashy bug where it wont penetrate cape and buffalo. Full broadside shots can still only get flesh. Been that way since rabbits were only assets.

Yes a video on 7mm, i SUFFER using it on my animals got any tips as i have no trophies but 1 albino croc, 25 percent of the time it doesnt hit with dissapearing bullets (non registration) 😂 The 7mm shoots HIGH- Especially when i use 300m range at 75m. 😅
Aim a bit low with the 7mm cause it definitely shoots high!

I've had consistent problems with the 7mm for about a month. Animals shot in perfect broadside locations from less 100m and getting a non vital. It's the only gun this has happened with thankfully, but still annoying, I basically don't use it anymore as a result.

I had 2 level 5 elk on silver ridge. One was huge and the other was decent. Carefully shot the huge level 5 and it didn’t score diamond. Good shot with full integrity. Almost seems like a bug.

Roosvelt elk
The Roosevelt elk is by far the prettiest animal on Layton and one of my favourite in the game. Could not find a single male for the first 20 levels and then got rewarded with the second male I spot being a big diamond

It’s fitting, I of course on April fools have a mela fallow that is a guaranteed troll and have a level four diamond that only goes up to 250 and makes it. I am so mad.

The first elk drink zone you went to is where I got my melanistic it was early in the morning and all I say was that it was darker then the rest my first shot wasn't vital so I prayed that he didn't die then changed it back to the drink time and he was 0-25% health and then I shot him again with a double lung vital

Hey lady, i once shot a moose in what should be a perfect lung wjth the 7mm and softpoint (bc i was poor and didnt have enough for polymer) and the shot didn't even penetrade though the skin
Oh and also, What lvl would u recommend that a player should be to start a grind?
