Personally I think Atti you need to start standing up for her if you're there with her and she is the only one being singled out. Let them know that she is your wife, if there's something they have detected like you said they should communicate. They can't keep touching people in the name of screening. They should keep their hands to themselves seriously. If they're not going to do that to everyone else they shouldn't be doing it to her alone. I am sure if she said something they will use it against her and say she is loud, crazy or violent but if you could speak on her behalf they would listen to you. Peace and love to you guys ❤

Yes I was thinking the same. He has a right to ask what's wrong. But sometimes if a woman is wearing a maxi pad or hair pins or wig (not dreads) they will get additional screening. I had hair pins holding my wig on in Germany and the did additional screening and ran fingers through my head then the lady said oh then let me go. Also if someone is early in pregnancy and not visible by looking at the person but the screen picks it up they will search you further. I hope they did not search her based on color that would be stupid of the workers. Because plane terrorist are not always black, in history they have always been a light skin color.

I agree that he should stand up for his wife. Its a scary situation for her and you’re supposed to protect her from harm. Shes being mentally, emotionally, and physically abused! And for what reason? To only amuse themselves and others with their power of position at their place of employment?!?!?!? This is why the world is in turmoil and chaos! Because we dehumanize people and abuse power of positions. We’ve got to stop this bullying of our loved ones. And she should have been made aware of her rights so she could defend her rights. If you went to Africa anf the Military would have shoved you around and made a spectacle out of you???? I bet money your wife would have defended you with her life shielding you from rifles and automatic weapons with her body. When we learn to truly show our love for our loved ones, is when the world wil truly heal and become one with each other and for eachother. I don’t want my grand children to experience racism and prejudice and hatred just for being the perfect example of Gods love. God creates everything and everyone, He doesn’t make mistakes. Im so sorry this happened to your wife. Im sorry for Man Kind, that we haven’t grown or evolved past this point! Imagine how far we’d be and go, if we celebrated each other’s differences as well as acknowledging our similarities and values. She was going on Holiday. No one should be made feel less than when they’re in the company of their spouse. Their life partner. Their one and only, who they should be made feel safe , protected, and above all , have someone at her side she loves and made a pact with to love and to cherish, through the good and the bad.
Continued prayers for you both and your journey to continue to be successful and healthy and to be enriched beyond measure

Well,,,, Annette also went through racial discrimination at the airpot in Europe. The interesting part is that most Africans who are being racially profiled or discriminated at these western countries, usually dismiss it as standard procedure, while they know very well that IT IS NOT people doing their job but it's people being racists. We know it, and they know it too.
Maybe Atti should ask more questions in this regard and perhaps also volunteer to be screened just like his wife too even though they tell him to go,,,, you know help the dedicated staff of the airpot do their job thoroughly to ALL passengers??? who knows, maybe they might even get an employee of the year award for searching a white man too🙄.
My last and sincere advise, Please start exploring other options for your family in Africa because you will have children & chances are, they will look like both of you instead of looking like Atti alone, so they will also be victims of the same discrimination too. Africa guys, AFRICA! ❤❤ (& this is as respectful as I could be considering how disgusted I am)

There is nothing wrong with additional screening but when it comes to touching someone body they have to explain the process to look more professional. I feel you Liz.

Liz ! Is left with few minutes to finish listening and watching this video but I felt like commenting b/4 it is too late. I was also travelling with my 18 years girl from one of the European countries to Us this June for a short holidays , we were flying from Frankfurt. After passing through the scanning machine, they also singled my daughter and took a simple under her canvas and checked it in the machine and some few seconds they told her to go . Besides we were having European passport.
Secondly. I think Liz ! You have to pray for Divine favour whenever you are travelling. Because some of these things you may think is normal but sometimes the enemy uses people in every area to frustrate your life. he is a liar and is ready defeated .
May be because you are still using the Kenyan 🇰🇪 passport that’s why . Be blessed 🙏🏽

The agent kept bringing the dog to me. Then after we got our bags we were all pulled into separate rooms. Two woman had gloves on going through my hair. My other girlfriend was made to take out her used sanitary napkin. She was in tears. We were reported by the flight attendant only bc we were quietly laughing about our beautiful vacation. In fact it was so many complaints about blacks being searched, there was a investigation. It stopped. I go to Mexico 3 times a year and I am only searched bc I have 8 screws in my back. My advice to my little Sister here, this will happen a lot to you as a black woman living in the West, sometimes it’s Racial discrimination sometimes it’s not, our hair especially give triggers, you have to grow a thick skin, a good officer will explain to you why they are searching you, Do not be afraid to Speak up n Ask Questions, You can also ask to be searched in Private it’s your Right, Your husband should also Speak up especially if you are in a country where you don’t speak the language n he does
Most Important don’t let it bother you or ruin your day, Some of those officers are Jealous of you, I mean a black girl travelling the World n most people f them the farthest they have gone is that Airport to work lol 😂
Most importantly if you see Racism Speak up, Ask Questions you can’t go to Jail for asking Questions unless you are in North Korea 🤣🤣🤣
    Best of Luck ❤

I am a Jamaican living in the USA and is well travelled. Only in Europe airports am I visibly discriminated against. Athen, Greece and Budapest, Hungary were my worst experience.

I had that encounter when on a transit through Dubai. I was pulled aside and taken into a cubical and they searched me throughout my body and hair. The ladies communicated to me and when done they let me go, it wasn't nice at all🤔☹

🙆🏿‍♀️🙆🏿‍♀️🙆🏿‍♀️🙆🏿‍♀️🙆🏿‍♀️🙆🏿‍♀️pole mtoto watu! Ngai..kwani alifikiria wewe ni mbao.....she was that curious to even massage you??....this is so shocking. Anyway:
1: Atti please stand up for your wife even if it means speaking your mother tongue there!
2: Racism will always be there....how many African people live or visit Hungary?? But this is no good reason to "massage" you infront of everyone. She should have asked you politely to a private room. You better also start questioning what's happening or why this, you have a right because not every time Atti will be accompanying you..
3: An official complaint should be filed. This will bring attention to other officials within the airport. Not every person is same.
Pole sana Liz....I hope next time, will be better for you. And you will always be looking forward to visit Anya. God bless.🙏🏾

It has nothing to do with Atti. It's not okay but procedure are procedure. I used to live in the Netherlands and they had bad experience with people from my country with drugs transportation so we all have to go through a severe check. I hated it also but now it has been changed. Liz she was being annoying, disrespectful and to much. Keep your beautiful locs. It's not only color but also the passport. I'm sorry that you felt that way. I traveled to Hungary too but I didn't experienced that at all. You must enter complain against them if it happens next time. ❤️ you

It’s pure racism. It happened to me in Germany while transiting to England when I was deliberately picked out and extra checked, mind you I was the only black there. I was asked why am I going to England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 very intimidating. I wasn’t even stopping in Germany 🇩🇪 for goodness sake, I was transiting. Only when I get to the UK 🇬🇧 I am expected to be asked those questions by immigration officers and they didn’t even ask me that since my passport had residency stamp.

If you had already been X rayed then there is no reason why you should be body searched in the manner that you were.Security officers should not have the right to touch people’s body without explaining why and with one’s permission. If people talk about this enough this might bring about change.Your hair and looks is not a contributing factor “ I t is the reason” yes I believe it was racial profiling.

I've seen videos on RUclips where other black African women have had some issues at the airport. It's obvious that it's all about color. I understand the way they search you bc I have a niece who is TSA and she has done it on me. But it seems all African women have experienced this racist behavior. Your language is your skin color Atti. Here in the US they will allow a private search. Since you say they speak your language Atti, you need to speak up when this happens again. Love you guys.

The UK is very diverse. But a place like you mentioned...I see it as intimidation and passive aggression. I agree with the comments below to let Atti step in and at least ask why. So sorry this happened.

That is racial discrimination. Period. I went through that in Hong-Kong Airport and it was really sad and embarrassing. They kept me in a special area for further questioning and I found three other Africans there being extra screened. 😢

I think it’s the dreadlocks as well, cause I find that when I travel with my natural hair they don’t stop me, but when I have braids or faux locks on I get called aside a lot

Sorry Liz for this ordeal. I think that this screening was truly overboard. Your husband should start politely speaking out for you since he understands the language. Otherwise, in regard to public searching, whereas it is indeed embarrassing, I prefer it to private searching. A person who is already racist can do anything to you or place anything on you in private, and they allege that they found unwanted substances on you 🤔
Amyway, It is well. Just forgive them and move on with your life. You are not defined by their biases.

  • @kikamunna4432

My advice if they are to search you let them do it in public as behind closed doors you don't know what they can plant on you and then it will become a case of your word against theirs.
Please stay in the open however learn to speak out and ask questions before anyone touches you. Cause they will put things on you to incriminate you

Liz please guard your heart ok? Racism is real in Europe🙏🙏For your case I think is a passport you carry!! I remember 22 yrs ago when I arrived in U.K. with my family, they told me to stand aside for hours while my husband (African but EU citizen) went through in 10min!! Forgive them they don’t know what they are doing🙏🙏They are rude and no respect for women (how dare she can do that publicly?). God will continue to fight your battles fear not. Blessings upon blessings to you and Atti ❤️❤️
