5:12 The no reaction cut-away after the jumpscare death was the funniest thing I've seen all day.
13:27 The proxy rounds have an arming distance of i believe around 500m so you gotta get a direct hit at that range
That could be the reason
I'm pretty sure the arming distance is 300m, not that it matters. The Su-25 is a flying T-80BVM according to Gaijin. I've hit them with 3-4 SAMs and they just kept on going like nothing happened. The bias is real.
Edit: I was wrong. It is 500m. Leaving the error in place, but what I said about the damage model being busted still stands.
Even with 300m i still think that the plane flew too close for them to activate@@StudleyDuderight

You're right about the target tracking, the main sight is literally named UTAAS (Universal Tank and Anti-Aircraft System)
(It's even labelled as such in game, the only difference is the AA variant has more elevation, and the radar is only searching, it uses its main sight for tracking)
Gaijin wouldn't do that, it will be more OP than 2S38's IRST

13:31 the reason your hevt grenades werent exploding is that they have a fuse activation for the proximity fuse
Example:
M109 using the M107 (PF)
the M107 (PF) has a fuse activation of 300 meters wich means the prox fuse will not trigger the hevt round to explode if that target is closer than 300 meters.

The strf 9040 bill and lvk 9040 and the veak 40 is the most deadliest and most effective. The lvk-9040c has somehow alot of armor for a spaa. And the bill is the same thing just with missiles. Overall the 9040s and the Srgt York (Veak 40) are very good. I have them all so i can tell from experience. And dollar i love your videos man.

The thing is that all CV9040s should have IR tracking which would work similar to that of Bradleys, Puma or the 2S38. Only the VEAK 40 and the Lvkv 9040C are supposed to have a search radar in addition to their tracking capabilities
I always loved the Crusader 40mm AA, objectively bad in almost all respects but ambushing and wrecking tanks from the side never got old.

Imagine this thing but with lots of missiles like the QN-506. Also that was a sick crit on the Su-25. He even knew how to counter radar lock at high altitude and dpve from straight down on top of the battlefield.

Dollar, if you use the BILL again, make sure to use its commander sight! It's HUGE and makes a big difference when peeking.

@@DOLLARplays also, try aiming a couple of feet above the targets turret when using the Rb56 ATGM.
It's the original warhead that BAE later adapted into the NLAW.
The main feature of the Rb56 BILL, is that the missile itself detects when it's in the correct position above the target to fire it's EFP down through the targets roof, ignoring ERA, fence armor, cope cages etc.
Its still super sad how much they nerfed the STRF 9040 BILL, sometimes the missles feel super inconsistend with dmging other tanks and they arent 1 shot anymore like it used to be. And they also nerfed the elevation of the missles launcher which also really s*cks when you are on a slope. The biggest downside is that when youre down to 2 crew members you cant control the missles anymore 😕
I think they changed it back, I’m pretty sure I was playing the other day with 2 crew and it seemed to work; maybe it was reverted?
u cant control the missile either when your radio(or sth else) is fixed after broken once

Dollar, if you want true 40mm action fly the premium Ki-44-II in the japanese tree, it has 2x40mm grenade launcher (slower velocity than Mk 108)

Another Good Spaa Lineup Is using both Gepard and Gepard 1a2 , the 68mm pen round is so trolly because of he overpressure and you could also try the M60A1 and M3Bradley lineup. Another good 40mm is the amx 13 dca 40 and Lvkv 42 . The bill is probably a better atgm compared to the tow 2b but the bmp2m missile is better.

Most top tear light tank tanks with rapid fire rate cannons actually have tracking for air crafts. you have to use the gunner site to lock. it doesn't work in 3rd person.

It is interesting that Gaijin wrote a post a while ago that said that all cv9040 (and probably also the cv9030) get a tracking radar, similar to that of the 2S38, coincidentally this post doesn't exist anymore, but please tell me I'm not the only one who remembers it

The snail really needs to rethink how they price the improved darts for the CV90s.
Stuff like the Puma and BMP-2M get a whole belt with darts for the same cost of only two 40mm darts.
I literally have been arguing with technical mods on the forums to get AA tracking added to the cv90s. They have a sight/fcs called UTAAS that tracks targets after lazing once. The issue is that Gaijin does not want to implement it because it's not an optical tracker like all other IFVs that get it.
Thing is All cv90 with autocannons Have IRST and you can easily lock on ANY flying object just like with the 2S38 or PUMA
tracking after lazing is already a feature (PUMA and 2S38) so I honestly have no idea why they're being this stupid.

Try the L-62 ANTI and its truck version. Turns out 40mm APHE at 2.7 is fairly good.

It’s funny cause the lvkv 9040C is the best variant simply because of its amazing crew layout with 2 extra crewmen. Even with 3/5 crewman left they are so far apart that you can most likely eat an apfsds round 1 more time. The thing is almost impossible to kill in one shot with kinetic rounds
Plus because it’s in the AA category it is cheaper to spawn in
Add to that a pretty decent radar that can lock on to airborne atgms and actually shoot them out of the sky

IRL though, the crew is just 3.
The 7 people that's crammed into the back using crowbars, vaseline and NCO curses are infantry that doesn't know how to operate the vehicle, but they are able to fight from/beside it with infantry weapons, including at least one 84mm Carl Gustaf and a bunch of AT4s or NLAWs 😊

WT is best enjoyed via other peoples pain lol. Uninstalling WT was one of the best decisions I ever made.
funnily enough if you change from 40mm to just the CV90 hull the only diffrence would be changing the VEAK40 for the CV90105
But you could have also added the lower tier SPAAs for more 40mm
