I saw a demo for a binaural mic and they used a sound filter for 10 seconds of the video to make it sound like a phone recording. The sound was amazing, and for the life of me I haven’t found asmr like that outside of that demo. You have scratched an itch my brain couldn’t get rid of and I am forever grateful RUclips recommended this video. I loved it!!!
This sounds incredible. It’s immediately become my favourite sound and it’s not something I knew I wanted. There is something nostalgic about hearing the fuzz and distortion. I love it.

If you find an old phone with the right receiver (like you can screw off the tops and sort of pull out the receiver) you can solder an xlr cable to it. then drill s hole in the botton more the xlr cable. I hope that makes sense. Just make sure you also put some extra padding on the inside or it will rattle and sound really hollow. And possibly sheild it if you are worried about interference. ❤
lol Im glad youre getting some good sleep! It can be kind of hard to find them cause its not just any landline, you gotta find one with a receiver you can get to. The beige one I found at an Antique store after looking all day and the others on ebay! There just way more expensive when you buy them online 😞 but hooking them up is pretty easy for the most part! I pretty much just solder an xlr cable to the receiver 😅❤
