Hi Bevin. I love the new stile off smaler Buildings you are Building now. Often it is more easy Building big Modulars, than Fine smaler houses. Thanks for Showing. Liebe Grüße🤗 Frank
Another amazing, creative build. It was sad to see the train station go. Great job. Those windows do compliment each other as if they weee designed to do so.
@@BevinsBricksWorld I'm dismantling my city so I can move tables around and expand my space for laptop and buidling area. I will also pick up much more floor area to expand the display as time and money allow.
This is awesome! This is one of my favorite classic TV shows and I grew up in Culver City not far from the Desilu backlot where this was filmed. Sadly it's now gone and they have a bunch of warehouses which at least a few are used as independent sound stages. So when this popped up on my feed it immediately cought my eye. Love the brick work and color combo. Great job on this!
I can already hear that theme song whistle of the show in my head as you build this. Once again Daryl, you continue to amaze with your creativity and building skills.
I don't remember having that show on TV in the UK when I was younger but the building looks great. The colours almost give the impression of something built on a studio backlot, if you know what I mean.
Not sure if it broadcast over there. It was a Backlot studio though and I do know the set was also used in a episode of the old star trek TV show as well. :)
Using vintage pieces and combining them with new ones, using new modern techniques, that is just brilliant idea for thus and your future MOCs. What baffles me, how come LEGO, with all their resources and man power, cant come up with something like this. People will goble sets like this, if they would reuse some of their Vintage molds.
Yeah there are a lot of parts I wish Lego would come back with. But I guess to them it's not worth the time although I'm not sure. But personally I like the older 1x4x5 windows frames much better than the current 1x4x6
Daryl, as you know all too well, it gets very frustrating to come up with inspiration to build stuff. I often have great ideas but don't know how to start. I have often looked at photos online to give me that inspiration but still it is tough. It is great seeing you using the same method. I just have to get my behind going and motivate myself. lol! Great build! Great job.
Great building, the combination of normal bricks and masonry brick sort of make the building look more real, also it is great to give the building some age feel. Looking forward to see where it will end up in the city.
Very charming classical building. I love this 'small town America' architecture, which has a lot in common with buildings in Europe and the UK where I live. Recently King Charles built a new town called Poundbury with these sort of buildings designed by Leon Krier. My own Lego city is a homage to this type of small town building.
I like the new format with speed building and talking over it. It also gives you more control over your content and now you can also create a script and make sure you don’t say nothing RUclips offensive. That’s how it’ll have to be moving forward with RUclips and large accts if you want to stand the test of time. Just come out here every day doing what you do. In my eyes, all the things that get in our way is just a test from our creators to see how bad we want it.
Wow another incredible build buddy. You definitely captured the look and feel of the building from the show. It cracks me up everytime you say you don't want to get crazy detailed on the interior details simple cause they always look fantastic and the detail is beyond what simple detail would be LOL. This is going to look absolutely amazing in your city.
@@BevinsBricksWorld well the details you added are absolutely awesome. It definitely Iooks like the inside of the sheriff's office from the show. The design of the lockers on the 2nd floor look amazing. Would definitely be interested in see how you built them. They don't seem to take up much space either.
This is so cool! Also just want to say I am absolutely loving this new video format that you are using with the build time lapse with your commentary. Super entertaining and informative 👍👏
Hello Bevin Bricks, Very cool updates. The building looks very nice, I'm curious how it looks in the city. When is the video for placing the General Store coming out? Kind regards
I'm doing a totally new format now, so the general store, this and my hotel are all going to be getting placed very soon. Hoping that will be posted on monday.
Nice to see your content swing back to MOCs rather than layouts and room management . . . most of us out here don't have space for airports, harbors, nor train sets . . . this is great! One criticism: Ya gotta tile that roof . . .
Not worth the parts use to tile the roof. Not only that most old buikding like this with flat roofs have gravel over the bladder and this makes it more natural looking.
Thanks for awesome works Any idea how the aluminum lego parts & bricks will be working in combination with plastic legos? I am planing to older bunch of cylinder , with caps (chrome and steel-alum) to mimik chiller and industrial equipments on roof tops ,side of industrial plants.(condensation towers ) They are still pricy for me to order in euro from romania and austria ... If you ve any thing like that, make a video about it please May be it would worth to put away 300 bucks to order em
Just when I thought you couldn't impress me more than you already have... OH WOW. Now I want to make one of these for myself. I loved watching reruns of this show when I was growing up. Maybe you could do some Matlock courtrooms and offices next. :)
Great MOC as always. I gotta say Lego is the perfect toy for us. we the kind of people who build something that looks good and makes sense to us today and they just look silly and stupid some months later.... so we unbuild and go for something else.
Thanks so much and that why I love Lego so much. Is when your tired or bored or just don't like something you can rip it apart and start over again. :)
Knocked it outta the park again man, it looks like something ye'd see in the background of the 66 Batman/Green Hornet shows, which looking at the photo's the Andy Griffith show might have been filmed on the same set's/location as those two classics.
Relay great to watch and listen, how you create your fantastic buildings from scratch and also how you use real ones for reference. Love the vintage pieces and overall final product.😎 Can't imagine what spectacular modular we would get every year, if you would be a chief designers for this line at LEGO. But probably would have work with one hand tied behind your back, trying to cut costs left and right, te met the price target. 😆
Thanks so much and that truly would be a dream job. I bet they do have a lot of budget constraints. I've been going thru a bunch of my old sets to get ideas and see if I can give new life to old sets. So far it's been a ton of fun. Planning a vintage gas station using the town plan set next I think.
I LOVE IT! But I have to offer some critisism. The Jail cells should be on the opposit wall as Andy's desk, with a small 1 or 2 stud wide wall between them with a Key ring hanging. I feel like this was a HUGE detail that makes that the Andy Griffith Sheriff station, as nobody every really occupied the jail cells other than Otis the town Drunkard, and he could always let himself in and out on his own. So I feel that was missed here Brother. Was there a reason you did it differently?
@Bevins Bricks Lego Then you achieved your goal. Splendidly in fact. The exterior is almost 100% identical! Given that the angle of the cells and a missing key ring is literally the only slcrutisim I have, I want you to know I only meant it as constructive. Which is why I asked what your main goal was. WOW, awesome Lego MOC of the Andy Griffith courthouse building. Really captures the building from the show!!!😁👍👍
Thanks so much :)
Wow this is so good it doesn’t even look like lego
Thanks 😊
As a big fan of the Andy Griffith Show, this build is awesome.
Thank you so much
Two things I like combined! Great job! Love it.
Thanks
This building should be a police museum in your city!
Outstanding recreation of the Andy Griffith police station Daryl. Two thumbs up 👍 👍. Keep on bricking it up Daryl 👍.
Thanks so much James
Great MOC Daryl have a great week 👍
Thanks you as well. :)
Love the recent use of vintage parts
Thanks and lots more to come.
Loved the Andy Griffith show as a kid! Great work!
Was a fav for me also and thanks 😊
Very cool Its great to see original buildings in people's Lego cities. :D
Wow , this build turned out great. Love the colors.
Thanks man :)
Love the new Sheriff's office. Great work as always.

A really gorgeous building, Such a great pairing between this and the General store.

Thanks and thank you for watching :)
Love it. You'll see buildings like this throughout rural Texas in various states of patina.
Very common here by me as well in smaller towns.
This is nothing short of a metric boatload of Pure freaking awesome.
What an awesome compliment thanks 😊
lego really needs to make windows like that again
I agree and hope at some point they will.
Excellent design. Excellent show.
Thanks
Great job! I love this show. I wish Lego would make this as a set.
That is an awesome MOC, definitely loving both those style of windows!
Thanks, wish they would start making the smaller windows again.
One of the greatest television shows in American tv history. I’ve been watching reruns of this show since the ‘80s. Awesome build!
I'm right there with you. Just watched a few the other day :)
Another amazing, creative build. It was sad to see the train station go. Great job. Those windows do compliment each other as if they weee designed to do so.
Thanks so much and I love your thumbnail image loved that movie when I was a kid.
The original black and white episodes of that show were great. This is an awesome moc!
Thanks, yeah I still watch reruns sometimes even now.
Looks fantastic, I like that it is based on the tv shows building... means more to me
Thanks, I thought it was the perfect small town police department to use.
Awesome look!! Your new city will indeed have a very very different look :)
Thanks, I'll still have some of the old builds as well.
Awesome build! I grew up watching the Andy Griffith show. Now you need to make the squad car and a couple of minifigs that look like Abdy and Barney.
Love this build. I’m a huge fan of small town builds. I also use to watch this show as a kid.
I loved this old show also, thinking I need to watch some leave it to beaver next to get some build ideas 💡
That brick wall looks really good. Great job on that!
Thanks
Excellent build! I am really liking the small town look you are going for
Thanks trying to finish up my small town space and then work my way back over to the city side of the table.

The Santa Fe Train would look great running next to this building ! The Americana theme is a 10 out of 10 here.
I wish I had that set. That's one of my regrets was not buying trains back when they sold the old 9v stuff. I was heavy into star wars at that time.
Absolute awesome. I like this build a lot!
Thanks :)
I'm really loving this American suburbia vibe you've got going on in your city. Really unique and I can't wait to see more 👍

Very Nice!
This is a really nice build. I wouldn't mind building something like this on a 48 x 48 baseplate over 3 levels and incorporating a courtroom.😀👍
Thanks, yeah that would be a really nice build that way.
wow that is just beautiful. the simplicity yet its detailed perfectly subtly. love it so much. im whistling the tune rn
Thanks, I have this posted on Instagram also with the theme whistle to really drive it home 😀
I can already hear that theme song whistle of the show in my head as you build this. Once again Daryl, you continue to amaze with your creativity and building skills.
Haha thanks man, I posted a quick clip on Instagram also and used the theme whistle :) can't do it on youtube due to copyright
This was a great idea to use this style building from a well known TV series from the 60s. It turned out wonderfully Daryl, great job sir
Thanks my friend. Loved this old show and having a lot of fun finding good use with all the vintage parts I have.
Omg that is amazing!! Really amazing. I’ve never seen a build like that before!!

The main trick is not trying to make it look exact but to just make it resemble the building you reference as much as possible.
Love it! And for some reason, the interior color scheme reminded me of the new show Jack Reacher's jail.

At some point I may try and make instructions
I know the Mayor's Office was right above the cells from the Dynamite Goat episode, but the show never had stairs. I like your solution.

You should show this to LEGO and get them to make some sets based on the Andy Griffith Show.
If I do that I can't make and sell instructions. It's why I don't participate in ideas.
