    Vimy Ridge, France.
    M/S of sailors saluting and drilling with their guns, cars drive through crowds of people and military personnel. L/S of the crowds. M/S of King Edward VIII (later Duke of Windsor) waving his hat. Various flags of the Empire are raised. The dignitaries and officials walk down the steps. M/S of French President Monsieur Lebrun and King Edward talking to veterans. They walk up the steps towards the memorial.
    Canadian Minister Ian MacKenzie makes a speech. M/S of the King walking down towards the memorial, aeroplanes perform a fly past. The King reads a speech, various shots of the huge magnificent memorial with pillars and statues, it contains the names of the 12,000 Canadian men who died at Vimy Ridge. The place has been given to Canada as a mark of respect. Various shots of the crowds standing around. L/S of the memorial. M/S as people stand in silence while the Last Post is played.
