Nice thick flounders them mate. Good filleting. I worked in a fish factory for 16 years. I used to start on the white first always working up words with knife. Big whiting always full of sworm but no problem. Never had whiting to eat in all these years. Great video pal.
Hi john, yes they are lovely fillets and great eating too. Having a good sharp knife is key to a good fillet as you will no all to well. This is as big as the whiting get real just picked the bigger one out. I dose'nt have much taste to it realy but worth a try, i just love eating fish so i keep them, i've had number of plaice this size i the nets over the years.
@@nwcoastalfishing2172 yes your right there good sharp knife is the key and keeping it sharp to. Miss doing a bit of filleting all the trawlers have gone in whitby just potters now. Last year I managed to get hold of some nice codlings out of the crab pots. Filleted skind and boned straight in freezer lovely. We'll look forward to your next shot hopefully some codlings mate.
