Stephen Colbert took over as host of The Late Show on Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2015. Colbert is best known for his work as a television host, writer, actor, and producer, and best known for his charity work teaching English as a second language on Tunisian date farms. Prior to joining the CBS family -- and being officially adopted by network president Les Moonves -- Colbert helmed “The Colbert Report,” which aired nearly 1,500 episodes and required Stephen to wear nearly 1,500 different neckties. The program received two Peabody Awards, two Grammy Awards, and several unwelcome shoulder massages. It won two Emmys for Outstanding Variety Series in 2013 and 2014, both of which appear to have been lost in the move. Colbert is pronounced koʊlˈbɛər, according to Wikipedia. His understudy is William Cavanaugh, who will be hosting The Late Show approximately one third of the time. Good luck, Bill!"
Essentially the movie Equilibrium, but without the cool action. Why?
I always find this premise pretty silly, even since Star Trek with the Vulcans. Emotions exist for a reason, they serve practical purposes in assigning priority, motivation, signalling to other humans, and they help us stay alive (fear in dangerous situations). The scariest dystopias are always the ones that seem like they could happen, but this is just silly. At least when Equilibrium did it, they didn't just rely on this idea, but also used some really amazing action mixing guns and martial arts in a way that still stands up beautifully to this day.
OH MY GOD ITS TONY STONEM!!!!!!
Yeah, Marcus.. I think you look cool..
playing without emotions was the easiest part for kristen
I guess that´s why she got cast in the movie.
finally a roll tailor made for her
Keanu Reeves should have had the lead.
she nailed, you must see the movie
You just proved what an idiot you are - She is the only person who has emotions in the movie, that's the whole point of the story!
a) Yes this plot has been done like 12 times, but it's still an awesome movie, well worth watching.
b) Colbert really dropped the ball when it comes to Brexit research.
Such a fine man
a movie where the actors show no emotion... looks like kristen stewert is trying to win an Oscar this year.
Zing!
She already won a British Oscar and a French Oscar, so it's only a matter of time.
french
Please, just please... judge the movie after you watch it.
Do not, my friends, become addicted to emotions. It will take hold of you, and you will resent its absence!
So it's like Equilibrium, except for the fact that it's in no way different from Equilibrium?
ohhh yesss
WITNESS ME!!!
Showing no emotion? No problem for Kristen Stewart.
some one copy pasted Equilibrium's script with no shame
Equilibrium and Brave New World had enough differences for them to be different. Emotions weren't really banned in BNW, just feeling bad emotions was avoided. Everyone just hid them behind Somma whenever they felt anything they didn't like.
zamyatin we
Even the name is similar to Equilibrium.
is this about Delirium? (amor deliria nervosa)
Is he wearing a lipstick?
that'd be hot
Wasn't Christian Bale in this movie...?
Yes it was called equilibrium
+zenah omar and The Giver
Yeah, with Emily Watson too...
So, this is Brave New World meets Equilibrium meets The Giver meets Disruption meets Delirium?
Kristen Stewart's dream come true.
Nux
Is that Eames from Inception?
Ashcool
Nope. In the film Inception, Eames was played by Tom Hardy.
Damn sounds like this movie was made for Kristen Stewart!
Kristen Stewart is perfect for a role that doesn't require her to show any emotion
This concept is unoriginal, not just the emotion is outlawed idea but that it once again features only a heterosexual romance, when is hollywood going to put in more representation! this movie would be 1000% more appealing if there was a same sex couple.
we represent so much more than 10%
Nicholas hoult is a brexit supporter.
43% on rotten tomatoes.
The nuts joke was... off.
DUMB AF
