    I believe textbooks have a role in learning languages because you need a base to learn the fundamentals from. Just learning words is one thing, using them in sentences is another. You need to also learn grammar. My problem with learning Japanese has been that I'm all over the place with books, apps, websites, TV shows, movies, games, etc.. I'm getting better, but I have overwhelmed myself with sources. So, now add MochiMochi to the growing pile.

      I agree! As I mentioned in the video, I love using textbooks. My intention was just to let people know that solely relying on textbooks for everything isn't necessarily a good idea; I wasn't at all trying to say that textbooks are completely unnecessary.

    Thank you very much! I've used the free ver. of the Mochi Mochi app and it was very fun but was not sure if I wanted to upgrade to premium. A few weeks passed and I felt disappointed in myself because I haven't been studying with my workbook. (Honestly felt discouraged because I didn't want to just be stuck learning with a workbook) So today I find this video and it LITERALLY highlights what i've been thinking for a while now. Had to be fate i swear lol so I literally just got premium mochi mochi! I will also try other methods of learning Japanese besides only workbooks! So thank you for this video :D

    Your vlog is truly inspiring! It has motivated me in so many ways. If you're looking to immerse yourself in the Japanese language and culture, I highly recommend trying out tools like Immersive Translate. I discovered this extension through a kind individual who shared it with me, and I've found it to be incredibly helpful in my language journey.

    I’m learning Japanese in college. While I know some I have a really hard time to katakana and kanji. Any recommendations for how to learn and remember more? I don’t know if it matters but I have dyslexia so I can sometimes have a hard time telling apart the characters.

    • @jabs_labs6828
      @jabs_labs6828 Год назад

      I suggest the 1 hour Katakana video on RUclips, you'll know the one because it pops up when u search it. It goes over each character and a mind trick to remember. Everyday I also use Quizlet to review all the hiragana and Katakana characters because to learn a language u need to know the alphabet like the back of your hand. As for Kanji I'm just using Tokini Andy's series to learn slowly, and after I get a base grasp of Japanese (finish Genki 1) then I plan to move on to learning words that use kanji.

      After seeing the video, mochi mochi seems like a good resource. Remember, memorizing just comes down to flashcard practice 😅

      @@jabs_labs6828thank you so much I’ll try to use things like quizlet more often and I’ll hopefully be able to get the genki books soon
