Been a huge Cure fan in my teens but had never seen the video clip until some years ago. Been living in Nice for 20 years. Always loved that particular estate and always been feeling sad to see it still unoccupied and in a rather bad state. One day I came across the Catch video and I was like no, that is not possible, that is my villa!!! I was so glad to see it from inside and the view. Incredible. Now I have seen even more of it, thanx so much. Fingers crossed it finds the right owner soon who brings this old lady back to her beauty.

I remember visiting this property in 1984, how big it was; how ornate it was; the view from the tower was spectacularly fabulous. Once renovated, I’d hazard a guess of at least 10 million euros.
this is the kind of property that i would be interested in rebuilding if I had the financial capability, which sadly, I do not. I cannot wait to see this property properly renovated by some wealthy individual with exceptional taste. I say that because, not everyone with money has class and elegance. I hope the next owner does....

The location is super.
The place need serious structural work. Every aspect needs to be rebuilt/restored. I cannot imagine the extra cost but the renovation will run in the millions of Euros for sure.
I can't believe I far too many updates. This property looks fantastic. We just got sold our apartment here in Nice'. Got that offer you can't turn down. That's gotta be worth 8,000,000 euro.
It could be renovated by the state and turned into a museum. Sell tickets to the tourists. You would make money. Just renovate the main building and the towers, and everything else can go.

Not much sun loungers in sight at the moment. Perhaps one day they will once again set another bench mark for future generations to follow. Marvellous. ☺️

It's pretty incredible, and could be gorgeous, but what a huge pot of cash is going to be needed to transform all the rotting & dilapidated rooms into something worth living in & loving. Not what I could be bothered with, and I love fixing up houses - this is way too much. I suspect it will cost at least $5million to fix - if not way more ! The views are it's best point.

Great video but it is sad to hear what you said about the restoration.
I strongly disagree that the property should be restored to fit modern day living. I believe it should go back to the original condition in and out as much as possible. Including the furniture, custom made and tailored to make you feel as if you traveled back in time. otherwise it will lose much of its essence and magic.
The world has more than enough of white boxes that fit our modern day living.
If I can exemplify the situation here, it’s like restoring a 100 year old classic car and putting an electric engine on it and chrome spinning wheels and neon ambient lights.
I apologize for my criticism but it was hard not to.
Still not sold? I think most people with the money would not want to have to bother with renovating it.
