THE FINAL SONG, and easily one of the best on the album, however it's 11 minutes long and there's a lot to remember.
All songs are now done on 72 Seasons and I will likely not cover more Metallica in the foreseeable future.

This is very thematic song writing where it plays along the same idea throughout. It's very classically written like a Bach or Mozart variation on a theme.
Very mature songwriting to be able to recreate a theme for 11 minutes and it not be too repetitive.
So happy he did this cover, been waiting on it ever since the album dropped, as always great work man🤘🏾

Good job, dude. EMG's in a Epi LP!! Don't see that everyday.
I now own two Gibson's but before that, and until this day, I am the proud owner of a Matthew Heafy Les Paul Custom (Black Beauty) with the EMG 81/85 set. The guitar is phenomenal. I somehow got lucky and ended up with the version with the real mother of pearl Epi logo and the Gibson diamond logo. I don't know why some have this feature and others don't but at any rate a Les Paul with EMGs just sounds so mean. I was going to put EMGs in the Gibson but I like having the tonal options that come with owning both sets of pick ups. So, before my Gibson's I owned two other Epi Les Paul Standards and I have to say that no they are not exactly a Gibson but installing EMG pick ups in those Epi Standards made them sound... Well, like a Gibson w/EMGs. So if the logo doesn't matter much to you and you like the crushing sounds of a Les Paul with killer actives, just slap in a pair of those badboys in a good Epi and stand back because the results speak for themselves! Happy Shredding, and I love the Les Paul in these videos as well. Cheers!

That's a impressive cover man! Do you have Archetype:Gojira presets by any chance? I am new to amp simulations and I am struggling to replicate this tone.
Try and check the descriptions on the other Metallica videos, some of the first ones like Lux Æterna or something might have it! I barely changed the settings from then

So this the final track from 72 Seasons is done, and as usual it was a flawless effort i terms of playability, super tight, perfect sound….this I would give 9.5/10 and then theres the Kirk solos, which is quite sloppy played by Kirk, so expecting you to copy that 100% is almost impossible, still I will rate them 9/10 this time….Now looking dorward to the next Tallica album in 2028’ish hopefully the next one will be a bit more unique. If you were to do a retake of Lux aeterna, would you be able to downpick the entire song?
Absolutely not, for reference master of puppets is like 210-220bpm and is already very difficult to downpick for minutes straight, and lux æterna is about 260bpm in double time, so it essentially makes lux æterna a lot harder than master of puppets if downpicked

@@Vampboi666 It's definitely possible, I just don't think it's very efficient and doesn't sound that good at that speed, but absolutely insanely impressive that people can do it

bar 174-175 you do what is in bar 182, if that makes sense ,
do we follow the tabs and not do what you did in 174-175 is that how its ment to be or do we play it the way you do
Good question, a rule I have for all my videos is that the tabs are more accurate always
Doing parts like these where you can just feel it out and it works, are usually hard to 100% replicate in one-take
