In the end, break down if u hit the harmonic on the second fret of the lowest string you will get more of that unstable harmonic sound you hear in the actual song.

Regarding tuning(s), the best imho is to do it like IV do it live: 8 string tuned to EAEADGBE. No need to pitchshift in the beginning. Then at 2:32 pitchshift -1 semi tone, so your A on the 7th string is now a G#. At 5:30 no pitchshiter needed either. Finally at 6:11 pitchshift -3 semi tones to get from E (8th string) to C#.
