Hello, I am Marcus Andersen and I do covers of a variety of songs, usually in the genre of metal. Almost every cover is done in one-take, which means I play the song live, while recording video and audio.
In these one-take covers is a very very minimal amount of editing, usually meaning all my guitar audio gets shifted by about 10 milliseconds to account for if I'm rushing, and of course switching tones is done inside Studio One instead of live while playing.

What is that called at 0:15 seconds? Like a laser gun slide or something? Newer guitar player here wanting to be able to do that
It's called a gojira slide! Or at least that's what most people know it as. You basically scrape your strings with your pick like a knife, while your left-hand is touching, but not pressing down, on the strings, like a harmonic! There are a bunch of videos on it, so I'm sure you can learn it, it's fairly easy :))
