I expected it to be pretty good, like a lot of anime from its time, and what I got was something so much more mature and multi-layered than I ever would've guessed. I may not have fully understood the story, especially at the end, but this show has become one of my favorites ever in a relatively short time.

the singer is pretty good, but the choice in lyrics is pretty off, i feel the change of "i swear to you, i'll change the world" is a really pivotal point in the opening as it both works thematically and in the context of the show.
