i made this last night and i let my biscuits cook for 7 minutes before i added all the stuff and i did add a bit more sauce and it was great i think partly cooking the biscuits made alot of difference
I would rub butter all over my dish. Then dust it with parmesan breadcrumbs. Then place the biscuits let them cook hallway. Toss in some shredded mozzarella and rosemary Let it bake 5 minutes. Then add my sauce with all the toppings. And let it fully bake up. And u definitely need Italian seasoning in the sauce.
Thanks for sharing! I made this with what I had on hand, and to my personal preference. I used the one can of buttermilk grand biscuits cut the way you did them, roughly chopped onions, red and yellow peppers, green and black olives, ham and sausage, and topped it off with cheese. I saved a quarter of everything that I chopped and put that over the cheese. I did sprinkle a little bit of garlic salt before I added the sauce to the bread layer. Next time I will use less sauce because a little goes a long way. Good, especially in a pinch; fast and easy!
The finished product looks soooo yummy! I actually prefer less sauce on my pizzas, but since this is a "casserole", I guess more sauce would be beneficial! To those criticizing the fact that you didn't "test" the recipe out first, it's actually good to see someone ELSE try out a recipe first, then comment on how to fix/alter the recipe so that the rest of us don't screw it up ourselves ;P I mean, as written, the recipe doesn't say what to do to make it better - that's why when YOU made it, then said what could be fixed, it actually helps the rest of us who want to try the recipe out!
+lac92576 Thanks for your support. These people are not subscribers, so they don't realize that I quite often try out new recipes for the first time. My subs love when it doesn't come out just right, because then they too give their suggestions on what they would do to help it along as well! :)
i love green pepper!!!!! sooooo good! we didnt have much luck last year with green pepper but we grew a ton of jalapenos and banana peppers last year. This year we are focusing more on tomatoes more than anything. but yes i agree with you about the green pepper.
It was "doughy" because there was too much moisture on the toppings and it was too thick. Cook the bottom layer of biscuits half way before you add the toppings, and DO NOT double up on the sauce.... Unless you want boiled-dough pizza soup.
I have made this before and I eliminated the 2nd layer of biscuits because I found the middle is very doughy and sometimes doesnt cook all the way through. For a better crust I pop the layer of just biscuits in the oven for a little bit then put the stuff on it..sometimes the sauce makes the raw dough soggy...but this is really good
Being 100% serious. Videos that show how not to do it and corrections for the next time are super helpful. I am making this tonight and have been watching reviews. I will use less dough and add more stuff. Thank you.
I think just one layer of biscuits would be enough.. probably the amount of sauce would be enough then .. I think I’d scatter the onions, peppers, mushrooms and olives on top of the sauce and then the cheese or scatter on top of the cheese either way but I wouldn’t put it in the sauce.. but, that’s just my thoughts.. thanks for the recipe
Tried this twice! It helps if you use the refrigerator can biscuits because it's less of a biscuit-y texture and more of a pizza dough texture, by the way. When you use those, cause they're smaller, the Saudi is adequate.
me too! whats your fave product? Mine is absolutely the toner i mentioned-i use it in place of moisturizer! it litterally feeds the skin cells....and is non-greasy! simply amazing and something i couldnt live without! I'm also a fan of teh Mrs Whippy bath bomb-my hair smelled like fruit for 2 days afterward! delish! I have had a few flops though....anything they call "candy scented" smells like antibiotic pills to me....makes me nauseaus! And some things dont smell strong enough...
Omgish this came out great! Instead of us pre made biscuits i just used ur churche's chicken biscuit clone reciepi and knocked out the honey. I sprayed the top of the biscuits with butter and just loaded on the topping. only thing i think i'd change is like u said in the video, MORE SAUCE! lol Ty for the tutorial
I saw someone make one of these and she mixed everything together in a big bowl first - then she put it in a casserole dish. I think she used more sauce too. I love doughy things so yours looked good to me. Had to laugh at your comments about the oil at the end. Thanks for another great video!
For some reason I always have a hard time with using Biscuits in any casseroles. I think when they call for that much biscuit it just makes it too doughy, I'd use one layer like you said. I make a Stromboli out of biscuit dough, it's pretty good, when I can manage to make it right. I think I'm gonna try this dough, with the added recommendations from you.
Another hack for biscuits is to roll them out flat. Then roll like a cigar. And tie in a bow and make garlic knots. Just glaze with butter and a egg wash and rosemary and bake it up!!
Oh my yum! I'm a sucker for any kind of pizza and that's my kind of pizza! LOL dangit I have no control! I'm going to have to unsub-I just can't take it! LOL Arrrrggggghhhhh! Best cook/baker I know of!!!!!!
Yep, too much biscuit too little sauce, but the end result did look very appetizing and the bubbling sound just out of the oven!!! This is something I would enjoy because I like refrigerated biscuits. I burn myself on a fairly regular basis on the edge of the oven opening as I'm reaching in doing things. Let me guess, you burned yourself putting on the extra pepperoni?
This looks good Beth. I wonder how it would come out if you used frozen bread dough instead of the bisquits. I am not a fan of bisquit pizza, just doesn't taste like the pizza shop, but when I used the frozen bread dough; money!!! The pepper looked wonderful. I can't wait until stuff is ready here, but no one has planted anything yet! lol
sorry to hear about your burn! You know what to do for a burn? IMMEDIATELY get in into COLD water (running water is best), and you can actually reverse the cell damage if you do it fast enough and teh water is nice and cold! Never use butter or ice on one though! Lush makes an alcohol free toner called breath of frsh air-and OMG it is the burn eraser! I use it on sunburn and its a miracle!
It was delish!! The middle came out too doughy though. Next time ill just layer the dough only once. Other than that it was fast and easy and pretty good.
It also says three cans of the smaller size regular size biscuits. I have jumbo biscuits Not Grands. I have seen it made with just the biscuit pieces on the bottom so I'm going to use one can and cut them into six pieces because they are bigger and then put all the toppings on top and I will let everyone know how it goes.
@CookingAndCrafting well we are making it tonight... the end result looked sooo yummy but we are making it according to your suggestions rather than the original recipe because we are saucy people ;)
Hey Mom, =) LoL ( You always say Hey Kids ) The Name ALone is making me hungry .. and I just ate not too long ago. LoL ~~~ Well .. sorry it wasn't as great as you were hoping. I will try it .. & adjust it like you said. But looks great =) Bye Mom =)
Awesome, there's a breakfast version also make a lot when I have a large group ,I like it because you can put everything together the nite before and stick it in the oven the next morning.
Aw... A booboo. My Mom would always kiss it and make it all better. WAY too much bread! Definitely hold the bread and up the sauce. I'll try it with 1 can of biscuits, either rolled or pressed down to make a solid layer. Build it from there, with not a ton of sauce, but enough to make an even layer. (Might even pre-bake the "crust for 10 minutes.) And pile on the pepperoni. I buy it in the 1 pound stick and slice it MY way. Yum!
Hi again... This looks soooooooooooooooo yummy ~~ DELISH ~~ TFS... Put some vitamin E on that burn...it will be better much faster... Have a fun summer evening... Surie
I'm getting comments on my channel page and other videos of people wanting the tote and measuring cups! So much for following BASIC instructions, sigh......
you need 4 cups of sauce whether it's a quart jar of spaghetti sauce or 4 cups of pizza sauce. I think I will make this tomorrow. :-) I don't have any pepperoni but I do have sweet Italian sausage I can cook up.
can't have pepperoni without the red oil bomb on there hahaha. yeah, like the topping part of pizza and the crust to be as think as possible so i would only use one layer of "bubbles" ;)
i decided to try to make this tonight... so far I'm at baking for 35 minutes and it's still doughy. smells amazing, but won't cook all the way through.
+RazzBerry Wasn't very good. it tasted more like biscuits then anything. was still a little doughy. The bottom of the biscuits were burned all though the inside was slightly undercooked. if I would've cooked it longer the top would've burned as well. My kids loved it. but I highly recommend only using one layer of biscuits.
Awww Beth u r much too awesome for me to unsub! Lol I will just have to work harder on that elliptical of mine! A girls gotta eat! My daughter made me red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese icing...drool.....lol
Stick to crafting. The responsible thing would have been to make this recipe beforehand, taste it, adjust it, perfect it, and then present us a good recipe.
***** riiiite..I love your comeback (response)! I;m gonna make this with my nephews, I'm sure with more sauce, meat & cheese...it'll turn out great. It looks good!!!
Lena B Thanks Lena! I love trying new recipes and then we all (not just me, but suggestions from my subscribers!!) all figure out how it could have been so much better. :)

Yes because u let them crisp before the sauce engulfed them.
I would rub butter all over my dish. Then dust it with parmesan breadcrumbs. Then place the biscuits let them cook hallway. Toss in some shredded mozzarella and rosemary Let it bake 5 minutes. I like that it has an easy pizza crust...no need to fuss with making the dough from scratch. It looks delish!
Looks good. I like the way you made recommendations to make it better along the way. But I enjoyed your basic approach. Thank you.
Thanks for watching!

Thank you for posting. Loved your honest appraisal at the end.
Thanks for the recipe!

I like her. You can tell she keeps it really with her reviews
Thank you! You have to see my newest video where I mix up two different cookie recipes. HA! But I tell you what...those cookies went 1, 2, 3!!!
It was "doughy" because there was too much moisture on the toppings and it was too thick. Cook the bottom layer of biscuits half way before you add the toppings, and DO NOT double up on the sauce.... Unless you want boiled-dough pizza soup.
@Dick Burns i wanna try making some pizza soup now
Looks really good!
It looks soooo delicious - I will try it as a summer treat!
I am most definitely trying this, my teenagers & toddlers would love this !! hey older ones can probably put this together ..Without me helping ...lol
oh heck yeah,i'm trying this!!!!!! my kids will LOVE!
Wow, this looks so yummy!
I have to try it out.
love your Honesty!

there are so many things you can do with the prepared biscuits/cresent rolls...and i love the flavor =)
I think just one layer of biscuits would be enough.. probably the amount of sauce would be enough then .. I have been wanting pizza! I'm trying this tomorrow, Thanks!!!!!
Love your cooking and this recipe looks delicious..
+Addrryall Brown Thanks!

thinks for the honest review
Looks good. Yeah I think one layer of biscuit would be good. Hugs!
You're a good person, Beth... Sacrificing your personal well-being, sustaining grevious injuries to provide us with videos... Bless you! ;)
Thanks for the class especially the end review
Yummy
I would double the amount of sauce, but will try this recipe, it looks good.

It looks goood & easily adaptable for other "bready" components. It would also be good using cooked spaghetti & making PIzza Pasta.
Thanks!
Pam

This is something I would enjoy because I like refrigerated biscuits.
I burn myself on a fairly regular basis on the edge of the oven opening as I'm reaching in doing things. Let me guess, you burned yourself putting on the extra pepperoni?
I would bake the biscuits for like 5 minutes alone to cook them a little before putting the sauce and toppings on it so the dough isn't really doughy
I think I'd work the dough out, make if flat and pile the filling on and fold it in half. Turn it into a huge hot pocket.
This looks good Beth. I wonder how it would come out if you used frozen bread dough instead of the bisquits. I am not a fan of bisquit pizza, just doesn't taste like the pizza shop, but when I used the frozen bread dough; money!!! The pepper looked wonderful. I can't wait until stuff is ready here, but no one has planted anything yet! lol
so did you try it with a single layer ? may be cook biscuits half way then add sauce and pepperonis add cheese 5 minutes before done maybe looks good
Well it looks good. Really bready though. That would have been really good on a pizza dough. TY for sharing Beth.
It looked great to me

I know someone who will love this, she just obsessed with pizza in general, I will definitely show her this..... 😊
Looks pretty good to me!
Tempted to try it.
Do you think maybe pre cooking the biscuits a bit would help them from being so doughy for the end result?
It was delish!! The middle came out too doughy though. Next time ill just layer the dough only once. Other than that it was fast and easy and pretty good.

OMG I wish you were MY auntie so I could eat all your good food!
how many calories do you think are in this dish?
oh i didnt realize that talking to the food when you put it in the oven is part of your "schtick" on here lol nice touch ;)
@CookingAndCrafting well we are making it tonight... the end result looked sooo yummy but we are making it according to your suggestions rather than the original recipe because we are saucy people ;)

I mix mine all up in the bowl and I double the sauce, then put it in the baking dish, or bunt pan.
kitten fonner I tried this my way and made a video it came out great
Awesome, there's a breakfast version also make a lot when I have a large group ,I like it because you can put everything together the nite before and stick it in the oven the next morning.

Hi again...

Do it in cast iron instead.
I'm getting comments on my channel page and other videos of people wanting the tote and measuring cups! So much for following BASIC instructions, sigh......
Yeah it looks like it needed way more sauce... But it still looks good.....
Yep, needs more sauce. Looks delicious anyhow though.
Tyler1: bubuBuTtErMmilk biscuit
Wow, this looks good and very easy, i think i will bake the biscuits ahead and then assemble everything and cook ! not a big fan of raw dough!
its like a pizza bisuit lasagna. I agree more is MORE :)
you could use puff pastry sheets :) love ur videos
you need 4 cups of sauce whether it's a quart jar of spaghetti sauce or 4 cups of pizza sauce. I think I will make this tomorrow. :-) I don't have any pepperoni but I do have sweet Italian sausage I can cook up.

@CookingAndCrafting i dont think that the hey kids its annoying i actually smile xD.!
lol Kilo!!, But it looks so good!!
please use the back of your knife or it will loose its edge
the way for it to be better is to use normal sized refrigerator biscuits like it calls for. :-)
I almost ate my phone
COMMENT OF THE DAY! lol
Ur welcome but it would prolly taste good
I
Yes, more sauce! Add ham and for me more mushroom and no pepperoni.
All you had to do was make the recipe to your liking. If you wanted more sauce and less biscuits then add more sauce and less biscuits 🤷🏽♀️
~~~~Good ~~~
The dough is way way to thick, I don’t like super thin crust pizza but this was too thick . The sauce looked great though .
i decided to try to make this tonight... so far I'm at baking for 35 minutes and it's still doughy. smells amazing, but won't cook all the way through.
How'd it turn out?
+RazzBerry Wasn't very good. it tasted more like biscuits then anything. was still a little doughy. kthomas758 Thanks. :)
Probably should have cooked the dough a little first. I'm not going to try this recipe though because it doesn't really look appealing.
that meal should come with a free angioplasty
this is how i met u :)
Looks great but hurts my heart looking at all that grease and calories. LOL
mix this mess up. i like you lady!
Awww Beth u r much too awesome for me to unsub! Lol I will just have to work harder on that elliptical of mine! A girls gotta eat! My daughter made me red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese icing...drool.....lol
yum, bubbley :)
did u say this mess lol
+Micah Welch (CleverlySniped) Wow, you really R3KT him there kid, you're relly inteligent lel
What a mess. That looks like trailer park food.
FIRST!
try testing recipe before posting? IMO
Half the fun is testing it out with my audience. They actually kinda dig when I have a fail. lol Effers.
***** riiiite..I love your comeback (response)! I;m gonna make this with my nephews, I'm sure with more sauce, meat & cheese...it'll turn out great. It looks good!!!
