Given how passionate Alpha was about his legendary World Of Light nuzlocke, the fact that he never actually did a Pokemon nuzlocke up until this point is really surprising.

This might legitimately be one of the best scripts you've ever written. There are so many perfect turns of phrase, and on rewatch I can really appreciate how good the callbacks/foreshadowing are. Also the art is the perfect compliment. Overall, this is just extremely good shit.

You know, he’s known as an internet funnyman, but real talk he’s got an amazing ability to tell a story with ups and downs and get you emotionally invested. I feel like it’s not as well seen, but videos like this really show he’s a great storyteller. Can’t wait for him to narrate an audiobook

That Sabrina fight, was by far the most devastating nuzlocke moment I have ever seen in my life. That match is giving me PTSD from when I fought Cynthia... She destroyed my nuzlockes so many times!
It's fitting, because Sabrina is one of the hardest NPC's in the game. Alakazam is the strongest non-legendary in the game because of its high speed and special attack, and at this point there were no hard counter to it outside precise planning. She's a known nuzlocke ender, even though most people fall to Misty and Gary.
After Jolteon dies: "I'm never listening to you again, Brayden!" "Dude, use your Onix against Jynx" "Yeah, why not :3" If it makes you feel better, Onix dying was technically your mistake for listening to Braydens advice AGAIN.
Using Onix at all was a mistake, Onix is trash. He brought it to counter the Charizard, but it just loses to Charizard because Onix's Sp. Def and HP are horrible, and his attack is also horrible so it can't OHKO charizard with 4x effective Rock Slide, and to top it all off Onix is slower than Charizard and gets 2HKO by him.

The problem with that logic is that in Gens 3 and 4, Sturdy literally only protected against moves like Sheer Cold, which *guarantee* death when they hit regardless of stats or type matchups (except for very specific types depending on the move). It didn't gain its Focus Sash effect until Gen 5, so even if "Mewtwo" did have Sturdy, it wouldn't have protected it from a Super Effective Ice Punch.

The way that you can simply switch out after using perish song, but Jacob just readily accepted Lapras’ death as unavoidable made the Sabrina fight a little extra cursed. I mean it didn’t die to it in the end but it was still ironic how he didn’t swap it because he thought it was futile lol

yep! in gen 3, Sturdy can only stop: Fissure, Sheer Cold, Horn Drill and Guillotine. thats it! in gen 5 a Pokemon with Sturdy will live on 1 HP, but only if said Pokemon is at 100% HP, and takes damage from a move that would do 100% or more damage to it.

The way that you can simply switch out after using perish song, but Jacob just readily accepted Lapras’ death as unavoidable made the Sabrina fight a little extra cursed. I mean it didn’t die to it in the end but it was still ironic how he didn’t swap it because he thought it was futile lol

Having an Onix in first place is an horrible idea. Is basically using 5 Pokémon and a death fodder for 99% of battles
Going into gym battles 10 levels under their weakest Pokemon and getting your cheeks clapped, while screaming in confusion is a very on brand move.
