thank you . I'm watching you from Iran. I hope you are always healthy and happy.
Thanks for sharing the video and the information as far as where some of these fish are normally located in the surf.
Glad to help!
Me and my son have been right out there in the same area the last 3 days throwing lures and we caught 4 blue fish, 1st time eating them. I don’t care what anyone says cook it right and it tastes great!
Nice! I love eating Bluefish too! One of families favorite fish to eat. Not sure why they get such a bad rap.
Exactly why it’s great to try things yourself before judging off what others say! Many “trash fish” are actually decent
Awesome video, Mr. Reed! That shark was amazing, and I've never seen a cownose out of the water like that. They look really cool, almost alien-esque.
They're weird critters. Thanks Shawn. Tight lines 🤘
Nice, I hooked into a cownose ray off the NC coast last month w some frozen squid and it was a ton of fun to fight . Unfortunately it threw the hook as it got into the waves crashing on shore. Thanks for the videos they're always enjoyable.
They just keep on going! Sorry to hear it popped off. Thanks for watching!
Gorgeous sunset
Just wanted to let you know that I really appreciate your videos.
Thanks!
Hi Justin. Thanks for sharing your adventure and thoughts. Always enjoy seeing your videos. Kind regards MP
Appreciate it
Not bad for a chilly day on the gulf. Nice catch, Justin!
Thanks Scott!
Absolutely beautiful sunset. Happy holidays from my family to yours.🙏🏻 congratulations on your PB💪
Love those Fall Sunsets. Happy holidays to you as well!
Nice video! I love catching shark. I used to fish the surf and cliffs in American Samoa for shark and great trevale while living there during the 1980's. My PB Ulua was a 65lb. Black Trevale. My PB shark was a 6' White-tip reef shark. Too much fun!
Thanks for the video and for sharing.
Sounds like some good times!
Great vid!! Hope all is well. Look forward to the vids. 💪🏽 ❤🤙🏽
Thanks!
👍👍👍
Sup it is kaj nice vid enjoyed it
Hope you been getting on some fish dude!
👍!! !🧡🧡
Fantastic content as always Justin! I am up here in Wisconsin putting together a selection of surf fishing gear as I progress towards retirement. I just picked up 2 Penn 5500 Spinfisher 6 and am trying to decide what rods to put them on. I'll be targeting everything from whiting to bull reds on these with 30# braid. I'm waffling between a Penn Carnage and a Star Paraflex. These outfits are strictly for bait soaking in sand spikes. Which of these would you pick, and what length? Also looking at Ninja stuff. I have zero experience and need all the advice I can get. Thanks man!!
I have not used either of those rods but I'm sure both are good options. I'd say 12 foot is the most popular length since it will work well in all conditions (rough or calm surf). I really enjoy 9 and 10 foot rods but they don't work as well in rough surf. You can't go wrong with anything from Ninja Tackle. Those reels and 30 pound Braid will handle anything you hook up too on the beach.
@@JustinReedFishing Thank you for responding. I wish I could hold all of these surf rods but none in my area. I'm definitely going to pick up an 8'6" Ninja Dagger and Penn Battle 3 DX I see you using a lot for throwing lures. I plan on using your guide recommendations for a day to get a crash course. I fish A LOT but only freshwater. Still binging your videos and am learning a lot. Thanks for all of the great content you put out.
@fishinfool3795 that 8'6 rod is perfect for lures off the beach. If you can fish fresh water you'll be just fine fishing here from the beach!
I'm a jealous Jersey surf fisherman...
How’s the surf fishing in early February? I’m going down to Anna Maria island.
For my area it's pretty slow in February. Not sure about Anna Maria island, should be much better there since its warmer. Hope you have a great trip!
Hey Justin, I really enjoyed watching your fishing video. It was very entertaining! By the way, is the place where you're fishing in the video in the So Cal?
I'm asking because I went fishing today but didn’t even get a single bite, so now I’m curious about where that spot is.
Appreciate it! I am fishing in the Pensacola Florida area. Tight lines!
Nice clip, but Penn 5k for shark? Can it hold? Am thinking about the 6500 for myself. How is the Battle III DX hold up for you so far? Seeing you always use them on the surf a lot. Thanks.
Realistically I should be using a larger reel. Probably going to get an 8k for sharks and throw some 65lb Braid on it. I think the 5k will be fine for most the sharks I'll catch casting out baits but you just never know what you are going to hook up too. I really like the Battle 3 DX Reels and they have held up great with zero issues since they came out.
What’s PB mean?
It stands for Personal Best.
I understand that you make money from sponsors but I would really like to hear from you first not who paid you
Just showing what I'm using. I didn't get paid to make this video. I try and keep it short but might have went too long on this video. Appreciate the input.
@@JustinReedFishing You didn't go too long while showing your gear. Not even close. People like me, who are just trying to get better at surf fishing, really appreciate the detailed rundown of what you're using.
