I heard it's because of microsoft giving them restrictions for real updates
if you're wondering, reason why they can make updates like this but not the same caliber for normal updates, is because they dont really need to worry about anything on april fools. thats cuz its a fool update, and if there are glitches, womp womp. but for normal updates, they gotta make sure everyone is happy about the update (or most are happy), it connects to the lore of minecraft (or not, for things like new wolf variants), and there are no glitches, they also have to maintain the well-beings of their team. they gotta do ALOT of stuff, still they are kinda slow, but womp womp, dont care, i barely play this game anymore.

so... that boss has 10 phases... every time you hit it, you deals a little damage and it gives itself a shield and spawns "minions" which glows, you need to kill them to hit a boss again; every phase number equals "minions" number 😅 and they are different; each phase the boss potato getting smaller.... aaaand faster... wish you luck Cookie
PS check new "skin" of elytra! it's easy to CRAFT +try to use new "grappling hook" instead of fireworks

This update is really cool but I feel like thy shouldn't have added ALL of this because mincraft was kind of a block version of real life but a BIT fantasised but this is just over the top in my opinion.
You put the poisonous potato on the pedestal and then you get transported to the potato dimension
