    Thank you so much! I received this code on my 2017 Buick encore, and I decided to RUclips it after reading about how easy it was to replace. I went and purchased the part & set this video up and followed along. I got the code reset and my car is riding smooth again! Thank you sooooo much for this!! Ladies, I promise it’s easy!

    Thank you so much for uploading this video. Our engine light came on and this part was what we needed, however the guy at the counter also sold us a tool for 26 bucks that he said we needed and also told us we needed to drop the fuel tank to install. In the process of searching for tank removal videos we saw yours, showing our part exactly and where it goes. Perfect video and explanation on how to install. Again thank you and God Bless

I had this problem on my moms 2018 encore and none of the connections would budge and I felt like I may break something until I watched your video and was able to get it swapped in less than 5 minutes. Thank you so much for posting. There's special coverage issued for this part but my dealer wouldn't fix it without charging diagnostic fees. This was super easy and fixed the big problems. Will the vehicle run rough after completing this fix? Is there anything you recommend doing if the car's been operating with this problem for awhile? Additives, filter replacement, etc

    • @v8pontiacvent
      @v8pontiacvent  11 месяцев назад +1

      you're welcome. Glad it helped. Besides the normal fluid & filter changes (When Due), there is really nothing else to do. It should run smooth. The other common thing that wears out is the PCV valve. When that goes out, it will shake, sputter, squeak & idle very rough. I have another video on that. Hope this helps.

  • @Zeek800
    @Zeek800 4 месяца назад +1

    I appreciate the way you show exactly how to remove the connectors and take clear unobstructed video. . There’s got to be at least 3 or 4 different types and ways to disconnect these harnesses just on the various parts that are visible in your video. Other than the code what would a non functioning purge valve do to let you know it’s buggered up? $18-$20 bucks on Amazon and probably $60+ at GM. Nice coil pack, does it help prevent the corrosion on cylinder 4’s spark plug and the coil boot’s spring? Water or “ mist “ sneaks under the coil pack on that side of the engine enters the hole that the spark plug sits in and it’s probably boiled up by engine heat so the steam gets under the rubber boot and corrodes the spring that sends a spark to the plug.

    • @v8pontiacvent
      @v8pontiacvent  4 месяца назад

      Glad it was helpful. Honestly it didn’t show or have any symptoms. It ran perfectly fine. That’s the ZZP coil pack. That’s the exact reason why I replaced the OEM one. It started having a misfire and found it to be corroded exactly how you described it.

    • @v8pontiacvent

      I don’t think it would be this. If this was the problem, it will still turn on but it will have a shakey idle. If you have no crank, I would first start with the battery. If it’s not the battery, I would then move on to check fuses and or relays. Does your engine crank but not start? Or does it not crank at all?
