hi, considering applying for a job at target and I just wanted to know how much knowledge you are expected to have to be hired as a tech consultant. Great video!
Is it possible to get into tech at Target at age 17? I'm turning 18 in like three months. I just submitted an app for specialty sales and I actually got a call back from the store and I just got done with a recorded virtual interview. I did work at a different Target location back in 2022 but it was Guest Advocate (pushing carts) and I hated that. I ended up getting laid off/let go because they thought I wasn't "comfortable" with my job or something like that. They never used the word "fired" and they just said it would be my last day. Can I still be re-hired or am I prohibited from working for Target ever again?
I’m not sure if you can work electronics at the age of 17. The only job I’ve seen minors have at target is anything at the front end and occasionally ship. As long as they actually laid you off and didn’t fire you then you should be eligible for rehire. As long as you leave on good terms.
@@dresxeno Yeah I'm confused as to if minors can do electronics, I've read that they are only limited to FOS, but I've also read that you can work in specialty sales. I just don't want them to hire me and lie and put me as FOS again. I hated that I will quit on the spot if they do that. If I even get a job offer.
My last day was actually on Friday but I’ll give you a good tip. You’ll learn the job as you go along for the most part so don’t stress yourself in the beginning over things you don’t know or over things that aren’t in your control :)
People come up to you to ask you for things, you go them, you check them out on the register, rinse and repeat along with stocking and other priorities
great video lol! I’m actually deciding between Style, Beauty, & Tech Consultants as a role and this gave me a really good realistic POV. thanks

Did you have Marketsource or did you have to do phone activations yourself?
We had market source there with us but not every target has them.
do you have coverage in electronics every day? my ULV store has some days where there's nobody in tech for the whole day 😭
@@beausqare 9 times out of 10 yes
What Aisle usually is the electronic at the back ?
I think it was something like F1-F21 or something like that?
Question for u broski. Does a tech consultant at target have to operate a cash register at times or no?
Yessir all the time. Sometimes you’re the only one there so you have to do everything.
@@dresxeno damn bruh ion wanna do that shit at all LMAOOO...is it difficult or nah?
