That 10+ minute seed quest towards the end is kinda funny when you consider that chat told you at 57:30 to save the seeds and you were like "Nah, don't need them!".
Now this is a real pain to accomplish, but if you trap an allay in a minecart you can use them to sort non-stackable items. I had 2 stationary minecarts with an allay sitting next to the ice line for the item sorter on my old raid farm to automatically grab totems of undying, and then throw them into it's own storage slice.
Really not that hard. Have a Minecart drive in a circle, throw an item you gave to the allay on the track, done. I sometimes even use them as filters for stackable items in farms that get a lot of items at once. Them picking up 64 items at a time is just way faster than hoppers.
I really prefer not seeing chat in VODs. I find it distracting & Tango does a great job of reading chat anyway so feels redundant, just tons of mess/distraction for little gain imo

@@4203105 the way wool works is that it blocks the path of the vibration to the allay/sensor, so it doesnt need to be right next to the note block, you could even have just one block at the right place and it will block all vibration in that direction
I have used those types of villager auto wheat farms before, the og one from the start, and can say 100% for certain that the Minecart Pickup System is responsible for "starving" the villagers of seeds. I have never used a pickup system that runs constantly. You could have kept the original collection system but with one small change... Set the collection rate, how often the carts are sent out to collect wheat, to be about every 3 to 4min (based on server lag n such). This allows the villagers to break wheat, collect the seeds and replant a vast majority of the time with zero collection competition. Since wheat typically drops multiple seeds the villagers should never "starve" for seeds as the extras and wheat arent picked up near immediately but rather every 3-4min. The only major change besides a release timer is maybe needing to redo the rail tracks to accommodate 4 minecarts on seperate tracks with slightly staggered release time from eachother to avoid collision around corners with eachother.
That leaves a lot of wheat lying around though. In that case I think a filter in the minecart might be the better option. But it's fine that tango learns to use allays anyway. They are great in a lot of situations.
What I usually do is put a wall, with a water stream under it, on the side of my farm and a noteblock behind it. The Allay will try to throw the item at the note block, but it will hit the wall instead and fall into the water stream below. Walls are narrow enough that items can fall down next to them but the gap is not wide enough that allays could escape. That way no hopper minecart is required and the items are already conveniently in a water stream. Just something to know for the future.
I’ve had water and they always fly in the stream and can’t swim against the current, so to counter it, I had to use leads and fence post at the right distance
Ngl I absolutely love the Allays. I use them all the time in little farms and have some around with me on projects to pick up the blocks I drop. But they can be a handful
deck-looping idea: if you keep the same kind of idea from DO2 but want to have the deck-reshuffle mechanic to achieve the type of gameplay u want -- maybe every time the last card in the draw pile is played the next draw (30 seconds later) or two is a dead draw w/ a shuffling sound (more punishing for smaller decks, interesting decision for player)
I'm torn. I love watching the vods but the steam sound is just too much. Too often or too loud or maybe both. I love the idea of it, it just never seems to pause.
Reliable Ally Pickup Noteblock rate with an Etho Hopper-Clock is like 25-30 seconds IF AND ONLY IF they are FULLY contained. If they are NOT contained fully a timer of every 10-15 sec is needed to keep them from wandering too far away because MC a.i. is well.. super dumb as you are fully aware. Edit: it sometimes takes 2 or 3 throws before they throw the items onto the correct spot to get picked up. Again, their a.i. is dumb.
I remember that when you were putting in your villagers and filling them with seeds there was a couple that you said were full but you didn’t give them the full 8 stacks. I don’t remember what it was but my brain was yelling.
You should definitely use those extra Pearl seeds to fill up the second baby villager (just in case you or another hermit needs him later!) 🌾🌾🌾 (or at least put them in a chest by the breeder)
What if you were to add a sound file to the head of the wheat farm as if it’s quiet clanking mechanical noises on a 20 sec loop to have the farm double as ambient noise to increase immersion.
1:03:57 moded has had trash cans for that, since forever. But I agree for vanilla a void block would be nice. Or maybe hoppering items into a lava cauldron could be a thing.
To not lose any more farm land blocks you could have pointed an observer into the noteblock directly from below. Under that an activator rail on top of a hopper with a second hopper minecart on top. That way the hopper minecart could have picked up items through the observer and the observer could have observed the activator rail to activate the note block.

I wouldn't mind seeing only the most recent chat message in an unobtrusive corner of the VOD screen. It only gets distracting when there are several messages moving a lot and covering more of the screen. But you do a good job relaying a lot of what chat says out loud, so I don't feel like I'm missing too much as a VOD viewer.
From all the Allay capturing video's I have seen, using a lead on them makes the use of them more un-upealing hence making Allay's almost a useless mob. Maybe Mincraft should put in a recipe for crafting a NET that can only be used on Allay's. It will work the same way as a bucket with a water-kitten in it.
Eh, transporting Allays is pretty easy compared to a lot of other mobs. You can easily pull them with a lead even when flying and when you throw items, they'll go after them. Only thing you need to know and which tango seemingly didn't, is that they need line of sight to the items.

Tango , I find the steam note blocks way too loud, and louder than your voice. I also find them far too frequent. Grateful if you could at the very least reduce the volume?

Allays use the same logic as the sculk, so you can just cover the noteblocks that make the steam sound on wool and they wont hear
