I notice that many of your subs mention their struggles with grief and suffering. I too have had many losses, the hardest being my husband. I have Cystic Fibrosis and I watch you with amazement as you do all that physical work. I am going to go out on a limb here and speak for most of us, we just like spending time with you, Marion. Friends (even RUclips friends) share in each other’s joy and pain. We delight in your talent and our hearts ache for you when we see you hurting. Please take us along on your gardening adventure. When I finally got my strength back my garden was a very over grown. I decided to divide it up into small areas working my way from the back to the front. My husband did his best but he had to cook and clean and take care of me . 2022 was just trying to get back to normal and my garden didn't look good again until 2023. Sometimes folks really are at a loss , not knowing how to help their friends or loved ones that are I’ll or grieving. I think if you asked or told those around you they would be overjoyed to help with a work day for a bit of a meal and time spent together. 6 or 8 people could really do a lot in 8 hrs. A work party. Once it’s a bit clipped back you’ll be able and will enjoy keeping it from getting woolly. You’ve been giving of yourself doing your channel, none of us realize the amt. of work that takes. What is so very clear to me Marion, is how dearly you and Michael loved each other, how you supported each other and shared in each other's joys. It is absolutely understandable why you would rather be in your sewing room near Michael's desk and how working and changing your back garden is heart and soul wrenching. It has happened to me too and I know. Some ideals may have to alter (you only have half the work force you once had) and, you know, you may find room for brand new ideals. Hello Marion,
Thank you for sharing your lovely garden and your grief with us. My husband died suddenly 22 years ago when he was 48 years old and I lost my joy of gardening. My garden was 2 acres at that time and it certainly became a wilderness during the two years following his death when I just could not get myself out there. Eventually I sold the property and now have a much more manageable 1/3 of an acre garden which once again gives me great joy athough it is also rather wild but much enjoyed by all the birds and little critters that visit along with my five grandsons who love to play hide and seek, climb the trees, pick flowers and gather fruit and berries. We don't get over our grief but we do get through it and one day you will find that your new normal gives you as much joy as the old normal...the joy is just different.
    Kind regards
    Lorrie

When my husband was diagnosed with cancer, he set about making the gardens easier , so that it wouldn't be such a chore for me to maintain whilst he underwent chemo. Sadly he only had 1 treatment. 2 days following his treatment he tried to take a stubborn out i was struggling with. He collapsed later that day. He died a few months later. I was angry with my garden for a long time after that, and neglected it. One day I felt like tackling the moss problem and spent many hours dealing with it. It was strangly, very therapeutic.. its been almost 9 years now and i miss him terribly, but thanks to his foresight to simplify things, i find i cope with it quite well and still find time to be creative with my sewing projects and other arts. I wish I'd had your videos to help me through the dark days. You are an absolute inspiration. Im so happy you find some solace and pleasure too in your wonderful video productions. I found myself sitting blankly for about 6 months with no motivation to do anything. I think everyone deals with loss differently but this was my way. I am in the North part of Ontario Canada and although we did have a relatively mild winter, we have had more snowfall in the last two weeks as if Mother Nature is making up for what it should of been like two months ago.So looking forward to Spring really happening! Hope you keep up the work you have started in your garden as it looks like it is a really beautiful space. Would love to see more videos on your garden as you keep at it and see the end results.
