    The idea that Michigan is overrated is laughable. The amount of production we return on defense, most of which are our best players will make the unit still one of the best defenses in the country, and though it is true we lose a lot of production on Offense, we still return Donovan Edwards, Semaj Morgan, Colston Loveland and Max Bredesen. QB is still a question that needs to be answered very soon same with WR outside of Semaj and Tyler, but our O-Line should play at a decent level once again and I strongly believe that if we can even look solid or good in the passing game and our ground game really gets going, I think we could win 10-11 games easily. We don’t lose as much as Washington does, if we did than yeah we should be ranked lower, but we didn’t. We should still be a top 10 team, but saying we’re not a top 20 team is a complete joke and no one should take that seriously

      You are discounting two things Michigan faces this year. The sanctions and lack of senior leadership. Half the team last year were seniors/final year players. With the large number of those players it will have an impact, especially with a new QB and new head coach. I believe the sanctions hanging over this program will have an impact, not sure what it will be. I do agree the defense with be elite but if the QB play is not up to standard (Ohio State last year) and the defense is on the field a lot longer, it will have an impact. Add the difficulty of the schedule, and fans of this program need to be prepared for a few steps back this year. 11-1 is not likely while 9-3 is probable this year.

    • @Wolvergeek99
      @Wolvergeek99 Месяц назад +1

      @@GBU61 I agree. We do have some new faces leading the program this year, and QB play will have a MASSIVE role on how successful the team can be, but we still have what I think is very serviceable experience and talent to help us. As for the sanctions, I don’t think they’ll have a big impact on this season since from what I understand haven’t been passed down for this season, but depending on what those sanctions are, I think they could have an affect on future seasons. Though I personally think we win 10 games, a 9-3 season is very realistic. 8 at the absolute worst, 11 or so at the absolute best.

All while being physically able to get the yards needed himself. He can also throw the ball which will surprise people. Michigan doesn’t require QB’s to throw for 3,500+ yards a season to be successful. 2,000-2,500 is plenty good enough.

  • @hockeyguy515
    @hockeyguy515 28 дней назад

    I see Michigan as being Iowa-ish this season. I think their defense will be elite and they’ll win some low scoring, ugly games. Offense won’t be as bad as Iowa but it won’t be a strength this year. However, they’ll score enough to win lots of games with that defense.

    How moronic. A better analogy is because lobby laws allow corporations to pay off officials, campaign finance violations should still be prosecuted. Rules are in place for a reason. Sometimes we recognize a rule is out dated, and players are being exploited, so a rule should be changed. The difference is all teams are able to really participate. When one team breaks the rules and others are following them it is an unfair advantage.

    I typically like what Cowherd has to say but this one makes no sense. Same with Greg McElroy. Even if Michigan goes 8-4 and loses to OSU, Oregon, USC, and Texas, they will still end up in the top 25. And they will probably win at least one of those. A lot of the doubt has been placed on the lack of an experienced QB, but the guy who will probably win the job - Alex Orji -- is a superior athlete. The offense will be designed to emphasize those skills, similar to when Denard Robinson was the QB (except Orji is more of a bruiser). Assuming no major injuries, with the defense, the offensive line and strong running game coming back, all Michigan will need at QB in 2024 to be successful is a good game manager. You know, kind of like Greg McElroy was when he won a natty at Alabama.

    I understand your points about sign stealing. Everybody does it. However, are there no ethics in College and Professional Football? How low can these sports go? Is there no floor? It sounds like you are saying get rid of the NCAA and things will be great. Sign stealing is great unless other teams are stealing yours. It is not easy to change signs every week. Should teams hire professional sign stealers?

    If you break the rules to gain a competitive advantage, there are consequences to that. I will be very surprised if there aren’t sizeable consequences for cheating for 2-1/2 years. This seems to be the general consensus outside of Ann Arbor.

    Hi Guys! I'd like your take! how about Syracuse? I know very crazy no one see's but look at their schedule. they only have 1 tough game Miami, Fl. No regular season games with Clemson or Florida St. They still could beat those teams with McCord. I know everyone knocks Kyle McCord, but he is a winner! 5-star recruit, leading an Ohio St. team that beat Penn St, Notre Dame and took Michigan to the wire last year.
    Now with their weak schedule they would lose in Playoffs but, I see them upsetting Miami, Fl and be ACC champions.

    Shame on you I know you enjoyed and like Jim Harbaugh probably better than Sherrone Moore but you’re not even giving him a chance. He still has all those talented athletes on that team. You criticize him already and say they’re not gonna be any good shame on you and make it to the playoffs. I bet you $1000 they’ll make it to the playoffs… you got a good offensive coordinator and a good coach you forget Sherrone Moore was the one calling plays last year not Jim Harbaugh

    Until Grant, Graham and Johnson leave, Michigan is far and away the Best Defense in College Football and it's not particularly close for second. Show me any other team with those two D-tackles and a top 10 Corner 😂. Remember Auburn back in the day with the Defense and Cam Newton. Orji doesn't need to be throwing for 250 a game to succeed in this offense even though he's capable. OSU and Oregon are projects with NEW QB's and last time I checked OSU lost their last 2 games😂. Orji has been playing in this system for three years for God's sake. Time possession and Defense still wins folks. The Meyer Florida and Osborne Nebraska team did just fine with Dual threat QB's. Michigan fans will take their chances with Alex 💰〽️🏆

    Go Blue! This is going to be a great year for the Big Ten. Us against SEC going to be huge in the 12 team playoff. Awesome! That being said Michigan will be fine. They will beat Texas, but injuries and a meat grinder of a schedule will put a big cloud over the season. The what if's and the should have beens' are going to be more prominent then ever. Lack of depth and leadership from the bench will be key. Alex will be a good qb But defense will be the biggest factor. Michigan D is elite. Stay healthy we beat everyone again. Defense again is elite best in the country.
