- Happy New Year Bargain Family! Today, I'll be showing you how I made my Ikea Alex Desk dupe. The drawers I used are currently sold out online but don't worry! They should have them back in stock. Don't ever pay full price for them. If they aren't on sale when you look online, just hold off to buy the drawers because they always go on sale. Don't forget to use a coupon, if you can. The Ikea Linnmon/Alex Desk retails for $207.99, mine cost $83.75 to make. Hope this is helpful.

Also fyi. A lot of people complain about the Michael's drawers because they Don't pull out all the way. I had an easy fix to this. I just drilled an extra whole in each side of the drawers so the little plastic stopper would go there and the drawers opened more. Same concept of adding another whole to a belt

This is honestly so perfect. Looks a lot easier to put together than the Alex desk I have right now. I’m in the process of moving and this desk is soooo heavy. I wish I had your version, it’d be a lot easier to move around.

Love it, I basically did the same thing in my office & bedroom, was able to get 4 of the 5 drawer letter press at Michael's with coupons and 4 cost me $27 each.
