- Eight Methods, Five Steps: Bafa Wubu - China's New Taiji Standard.
THIS WILL BE INCLUDED IN THE MASS DEMONSTRATION FOR KUNG FU TAI CHI DAY 2019
The new simplified Tai Chi form has just emerged from the People's Republic of China. In recent decades, China has used simplified forms in order promote Tai Chi, or Taiji (太極) as it is spelled in PRC-endorsed pinyin romanization.
These simplified Taiji forms are intended to be introductory; however, they can also stand on their own as a simple health practice for those who seek the benefits of Taiji but aren't looking to dedicate the time that the complete discipline requires.
The new form is Bafa Wubu (八法五步). This literally means "Eight Methods, Five Steps."
A well trained Tai Chi master who moves with power n evenly Balance. Good China
Absolutely Beautiful. Thank You!
Grazie ancora Master Qiu Huifang, 🙏
Qiu Huifang is among the best teachers to be found online, she has several videos on Yang 24 including a 2 hrs excellent tutorial divided into 2 parts.
The first 1 minute 30 seconds has no meaning at all and absolutely does not follow Taijiquan principles. At 2:05 and other similar movements, the Jing is from her arm/shoulder, not foot. She can play eye balls catching beautiful movements but has no inner energy. China created Tao Lu Taijiquan for stage competition purpose which looks beautiful but has lots of flaws. Taijiquan does not need another "new standard" like 8 methods 5 steps. These movements are extracted from other authentic forms. It is for dummy and you'll gain little from it. The standard background music is really annoying. I doubt how many teachers in that group know how to do Fa Jing in real world applications. I don't think any real master would like to tout this new form. Hence, the teachers you learn from for this new form are much less capable in real Taijiquan. Just a simple test: Ask the teacher in a 3/7 stand and you push him/her to see if he/she moves..
Qiu has talent in Taijiquan but stuck in Tao Lu. What a waste. She should seek for real master to be able to advance but that'll probably jeopardize her career.
thanks for posting, I like the way the form breaks down the moves systematically, doing right and left then adding footwork

@@JL-bo4bh thanks for your input I have already studied forms from Yang, Chen, Wu, Fu, and Yi styles of Tai Chi with many instructors including multiple famous ones. I still like the idea of a simpler form because I have memorized over 50 forms in a variety of martial arts and have forgotten most of them (after pulling out anything that was unique) because I would rather spend my time doing partner exercises (tui shu, sparring, sticky hands, Etc.) or working fundamentals and shadowboxing/improvising different combinations and weapons practice
@@minnesotakungfucom It does not matter what forms you study as long as they all follow the principles that Chang San Feng laid out in the 6 articles. And those principles need good teachers to carry out. I hope that you have good teachers. I only point out one rule. Hand movements are irrelevant because every part of your body can be a hand. Your body is like a bridge. The contact point on opponent(either hands or other part of the body) is one end a bridge. The other end is your foot. Once the bridge is laid you can apply Jing to the opponent.
Super un taichi kun fu avec une douceur et une grande energie j adore je souhaiterais l apprende merci à vous DAIA

I had the opportunity to be part of a brief training with Master Qiu Huifang. So precise, powerful and graceful!
Does anyone know the name of this beautiful Chinese music?

It seems to contain a little from various styles of Tai Chi, this is nice becouse you get to enjoy and be familiar with them and for many of us to get a master of Chen, Wu etc it is not easy. I would like to know if this form is conceived with a difficult degree similar to the 24, it appears closer to 8 and 10.

@@JL-bo4bh blablabla, her actions are more beautiful than your words.
I have recently started Tai Chi sessions, and this shows me how it works, and what to aim for
However, this excellent video was spoiled by the obtrusive music, so I muted it - whycan't you just let The form speak for itself?
Bafa Wubu (八法五步) and Bamen Wubu (八门五步)
Instantly relaxing for the mind and for the body!
Is this the complete form of WA bu taijiquan
Dose anyone know how to apply the action of 'split' in a self defence application for this form?

A real master might know the difference between fa jing and fa jin. They also might know when their opinion isn't required.
Excellent
